      Happy Saturday, Everybody! ^_^ For all of you who had date nights with your spouses last night, I hope you got a chance to relax and laugh. I did! ^_^ That's why my mind is in a much better space this morning. I'm relaxed...thinking creatively...and ready to get my weekend on!! LOL

      And I'm blue too!...but not blue like when you're feeling down. No! I'm blue, like when your backyard skies are still trying to recover from two snow storms, and the sun seems a little scared to pop it's head out! :-) Or blue, like when you go to your Etsy shop and see an email from another Etsy shop owner who has included one of your shop items in her 'powder blue' Etsy treasury! ^_^ ...

    "Powder blue second to none"! ^_^ It's a very good treasury, isn't it?....Of course, I could be saying that because I like that my little crochet brooch is in there! ^_^ But it's not wrong to be slightly biased, right?!...slightly! ^_^ ...

     Besides, I like some of the other powder blue items she chose too...like this pretty scarf!...

      I know...it says that I have good taste! ^_^ ... Or I'm over-tired from my date last night...Or I need to go and clean my glasses! LOL Personally, I think the first option...that I have good taste...is what it says about me! :-)

      Today it's powder blue...Tomorrow?...Red! :-) Why not!! There's certainly a lot of red around these days!...See you then! :-] And have a good rest of the day, Y'all!! :-)

that I have to have...STAT!

A New Brooch! :-)

      Oops! O_O I almost forgot to put a post up! ^_^ I woke up late...like, around 9:00 a.m.!!!...and then it was breakfast, giggling and making the day's plans with hubby, finishing up the new brooch I was working on last night!... YAY! :-) ...and a few other things!
 

      Then it dawned on me..."Hey! O_O What about your blog?!"...Yikes!...What am I gonna do with this brain of mine?!!! ^_^
 

      So, since my brain is severely 'wonky!', the only thing I could do was share the new brooch, and these two new pins...
 

      No...there's nothing special about a tiny white clutch back lapel pin, or a white clutch back flower boutonniere...
 

      ...Nothing new except that they're new...again!...in my shop! :-) I had some sales yesterday and I had to replace them. :-) ...
 

      I'm heading over to list them in my Wuglyees shop right now...Then I've got a talk to write!!!...*deep breath*...So much to do today, and so little brain power or time!! LOL...BUT...I always have just a little bit more time for poetry!! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody! ♥

Oh Yeah!...I'm Back To My Buttons!!

     I actually did it! I made a brooch with one of my favorite buttons on it! :-) And I actually listed it in my Wuglyees shop too! :-) I hope it sells, but actually...this one was for me! ^_^ And more are coming too! I mean...I can't just let them sit in my 'stash box', can I?!

     This particular flower button...I think...it's worth about $11.00. So, I'm taking a chance putting a higher price on the brooch, in order to cover the price of a button! But hey!...someone besides me may appreciate it, right?!....RIGHT?!! O_O

      Other than my special button...and more buttons to come!...I don't have much to talk about! :-)) ... So, I'm gonna show you a couple of eye-catchers, and get on outta here! ^_^ ...

      Oh Yeah!...I also can show you what I had for breakfast yesterday! :-) ...

      Hubby surprised me with a cornmeal fried pork chop, pasta and cheese, and potatoes and onions!...Frankly, the picture of it doesn't look that great! But it was DE-delicious!!! ^_^ Considering that I wasn't physically feeling all that great...it was a perfect 'feel-good' kinda surprise! :-] ... I wonder what's in store for me this morning!!...Would it be too much to wish for cornmeal fried catfish?! ^_^ ... Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

Eclectic Tastes

I've got eclectic tastes.
Yes I do! That's what I said!
I'm not afraid of being different,
Country raised and city bred.

If it's pretty, then I'm in,
but just as fast I can be out,
because I don't like what the hoopla
about some things is all about!

I think different can be cool,
in many colors, not just white.
And not just worn by 'one such person',
with a body shape just right.

It's good to have 'eclectic' tastes,
and to just be who 'you' are!
But be careful, because 'eclectic'
quickly can become 'Too Far'!!

I Just Want To Share What She 'Felt'...

      I just felt like sharing some things that were 'felt'. That's why! ^_^ Yes, the clouds and birds in the header are from an Etsy shop specializing in...you guessed it!...'felt'! :-) And how creative!!!

      I figured I'd share what she felt instead of what I'm feeling about the rain we're getting right now!!...OUCH! So, here goes!...

      This is the cutest tree ever!!!! :-) It almost makes me long for Fall to get here faster! ^_^ And the expression on the owl's face, up top, is priceless! :-)

      They're both in my Wuglyees Etsy shop already...with some crickets that are wandering around in there! ^_^

Sometimes Monday Brings Inspiration!

       Happy Monday, Y'all! :-) Well...at least I hope it's a happy Monday! O_O My Monday just got started, and it's dark outside still!...and not because of the time. Unfortunately it's about to start pouring rain. And it's suppose to be raining until Wednesday morning I think. They have us under a flood watch already!!

       Whatever the weather does today, I'm gonna be doing some crocheting though! I'm determined to finally get back on my schedule! I've been slacking off like crazy!...especially this weekend!...Part of the reason is just tiredness from hormonal issues...*AARGH!*...but the other part has been bad weather, which affects my pain level...especially in my hands and fingers.

       But, come what may, I'm doing some crocheting today!!!...And I got some inspiration to get started on some crocheting yesterday. It was the black and white polka dotted vase! :-) ...

 

    ...I love the red dot on the side. :-) And the flowers too! :-) ...
 

     Just as a general rule, I love black and white together anyway! But I love to see a little pop of red on a beautifully designed piece, like the bud vase above...

      ...Or the clutch purse below!...

      It got my mind reeling about how to make a similarly inspired crochet men's boutonniere!! :-) Here's my version of black and white, with red...

     What do you think?!....I LOVE the end result myself! But of course I would!! LOL...Just wait until you see the piece I'm doing today! I have another item of inspiration to work from. I'll show you tomorrow.

     Oh yeah, I did crochet another item yesterday too. A green item. :-) It was before the black, white, and red inspiration hit me. :-) This item's inspiration came about when I was just using up some green thread I had laying around. I decided to do a woman's brooch...but a different design than I normally do....experimenting! :-) ...

The winners of the French Open men's and women's final championships!!! :-) Woohoo!!!!!....It was all good....except for a scary incident with some men setting something on fire near the court during the men's match. O_O CRAZY!!!! But it was taken care of quickly. *Phew!*
