Who Doesn't Have A Port In A Storm?!!

       We're in the midst of a very bad storm right now. Well...actually, we're kinda sorta on the tail end of it. Otherwise I wouldn't be here talking to you in such a way as to allow my hands to be touching the computer!! LOL I'm kinda 'scaredy-cat' like that!! ^_^
      Or is it just leftover memories from my childhood? O_O In Georgia, whenever a bad storm with thunder and lightening came through we'd have to turn off all the lights, unplug anything electric, and wait it out. NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TOOK!! O_O I can remember going to bed thinking: "Is this it?! Does this mean we have to stay in bed for the rest of the night now?!" O_O Ugh!
      

      When we stayed with my grandmother on the outskirts of town it was easier when we had bad storms, because she had a huge porch that wrapped around the outside of the house that we could play on! And she didn't have that many electrical things that needed unplugging anyway! ^_^ Even her kitchen had a wood stove!
      The only thing we had to make sure of when we knew a storm was coming was that there was enough wood inside the house! :-] It was tough to keep warm with no fire going! ^_^
 

      Anyway! That's enough of the 'down memory road' thing! :-)) ... Back to the storm in my 'current' backyard! LOL
 

      Thankfully, we didn't get much of the predicted 60 mile an hour winds they thought we were gonna get, or the hail! O_O Although I could tell that the hummingbirds didn't think the lightening, pouring rain, and darkness was all that much fun!! LOL...Nor did we!! ^_^
 

      Lastly, let me show you where my bridal shawl is now! :-)

Random Early Morning Thoughts!

  
      -- It's 3:08 a.m. Waaaaaay too early for me to be up!! O_O I should be sound asleep, dreaming of fighting off underwater sharks in the Caribbean or something!! ^_^

      -- There must be some psychological reason that my husband sleeps curled up in a ball, with his head half in his chest, and half stuffed in a pillow...A pillow, I might add, that he has dragged down to the middle of the bed...so that his feet are hanging over the end of the bed!! O_O ... Maybe I'm just jealous that he's asleep right now!...Ya think?!!!! Ha! Ha!

      -- Great!! O_O The only non-infomercial, non-crazy, thing on television...and which is on almost every channel!...is updates about tropical storm Arthur...which is about to be upgraded to hurricane status!...and is heading up the coast toward us!! O_O Maybe it's a good thing I'm up though, right?!...I can be sitting here staring at the weather channel trying not to panic...instead of being somewhere singing Motown tunes to a small cafe full of people who are hanging on my every note! O_O Ugh!....Come on sleep!!!

      -- What did I do with my saltwater taffy?! O_O I put it somewhere so that I wouldn't be randomly eating it...but now I don't know where that 'somewhere' is! O_O Oh well, it's probably a good thing. I can't sleep, and I don't think loading myself up with sugar is gonna help my present mental disposition, do you?! ^_^

      -- Why am I not doing something productive with my time, like crocheting?!...I started another fancy shawl, and stopped right at the 'change-the-color' section. I don't know if I want my contrasting strip to be white, black, a deeper shade of the blue that I'm using, or some wild variegated color! O_O I may just go with white. That way it could be a bride's shawl, to cover a white wedding dress! :-) ... Yes! I do think about things just like that...all. the. time!!

      -- Why is it that my bladder seems to be as fickle as my mind is sometimes! O_O It seems to like to sit quiet for hours in the late afternoon, but in the early morning it wants to be as noisy and uncomfortable as it can be!...and pushy too, every fifteen to twenty minutes too!!! ^_^

      -- What is wrong with the fingernail on my middle finger?! O_O It's growing longer and faster than my other fingernails!...and, when it gets a certain length, one side droops and starts to grow in a curl!! O_O I keep trying to straighten it, but it's determined to be a 'Gumby-nail'!! LOL

      -- It's hair washing day again...but I'm wrestling with why I would wash my hair today, when there's a hurricane heading toward us! O_O ... Okay, let's face it. I'd use any excuse to put off hair washing day ONE MORE DAY!! LOL What's wrong with being a 'mop-head'?!

      -- Oops! O_O The alarm just went off!...It's 5:00 a.m. Time to take my pill and drink my water, do my exercises, etc.... Ugh!...It's gonna be a long day!! O_O

      When I wake up again I'm gonna do another post though. I found something 'neat' on Etsy that I wanted to show you! :-) Until then.......!

Have You Found Your Sunshine?!

      YAY!!! :-) I opened the window blind this morning and...BAM!!...Sunshine hit me like a big sock in the face! ^_^ It was fabulous!! Finally there's no rain....no snow.....no dark clouds...no stong winds...and no more winter!!!! :-)

      I suppose I should be careful about all of the enthusiasm...but I just can't help myself!! It's good to see the sun!! ^_^

      ...Uhhhh....'Hold on, Wug!'...Yeah!...I'm not physically ambitious enough to be singing and dancing this morning! LOL Let's get some green tea in this engine I call a body and re-think it then, okay?! ^_^

      As far as what's going on otherwise in my life...Well, there's crochet...and there's napping! :-) And, of course, 'Andy Griffith' and 'Bonanza', my new best friends. LOL Oh yeah, and 'spider solataire'!! ^_^ I've played so many games that I now time myself to see how long it takes me to finish a game!! ^_^ I'm at about five minutes! :-))

      I still haven't heard anything about my bloodwork results!...and frankly, it's starting to worry me a little. O_O I had the blood drawn last week! And it's Thursday already!! O_O I called the doctor's office on Wednesday to see what the hold up was, and I was told that they hadn't received the results yet. O_O Uhhhhh...seriously?!!

      I'm not sure if it's my sometimes suspicious nature, but I don't know if I 'totally' believed the doctor's office!! I mean, usually the results come back within a couple of days or so, don't they?! O_O So what's the hold up?!!

      You know what my suspicious brain said: "The doctor got the results back and he doesn't know what to tell you!!...He's probably talking to other doctors about what the next move should be!!! O_O" ... Thankfully, my realistic brain said: "You know how doctors are these days!...If it's not jumping up and down right in front of their face, it's not considered that important! He'll get around to calling you eventually...to tell you all is well." :-)

      We'll see which one proves to be more true soon...HOPEFULLY!! ^_^ In the meantime I've got sunshine! I found it hiding behind my bedroom blind!! ^_^ I'm off to enjoy it now...before it decides it needs a new hiding place, or that it's not getting enough attention around here!! 'Once In A Blue Moon' In The Backyard!

     I know!...you've probably heard the expression 'once in a blue moon' a lot this week, considering that the 'harvest moon', or 'blue moon', is high in the sky. But I couldn't help myself. I had to bring it up one more time! ^_^ And I had to, because my hubby went out in the backyard last night and took some pictures of it! :-)
 

     I know!....what is all the hoopla about?! ^_^ It's a bit of light in the sky, right?!...Well, maybe so, but it was sooooooo cool to look at!!

     Oooooo! The 'Wug' household is so exciting!! LOL
 

     Guess what?!...we're even more exciting when we talk about the hummingbirds in the backyard! ^_^ And when we take pictures of them scratching themselves!!....Oooooo! Ahhhhhhh! :-))

     I have some issues with my dry itchy skin too, but it would be a whole lot more of a problem if I was a speedy wing-flapping hummingbird, having to suck nectar every minute to keep my energy up, look for other attacking hummingbirds, AND scratch, all at the same time!!! LOL
     Anyway!! ^_^ Those were yesterday's excitements....including the first discourse at our Kingdom Hall by the traveling circuit overseer for our congregation!! :-) It was SOOO ENCOURAGING TOO!!!.....Okay, On to today!!! :-) Whatcha got for me, Wednesday...besides the hump?! LOL

Let's Let The Birds, Trees, and Flowers Talk Today!

   I'm not gonna do a lot of talking today. :-) ... Go Ahead! Clap if you want to!! ^_^ I know I can get a bit 'wordy' at times!...But you can relax today. I'm not gonna wax poetic...much!...or go on and on about my health issues, or indulge in my usual 'too-much-information' tirade of rattling on.
 

     Today I'm just gonna share the photos of the sky and growing flowers that hubby took yesterday, in the backyard and in our neighborhood...Don't you just love to see birds flying high and making lazy looping circles in the sky?! :-) ...

    I do! :-) ... I also love to see the sunshine finally hanging around!...and the pink magnolia tree blooming like crazy!!...

     One day it was bare branches, and the next day...or at least it seemed like it was the next day!...B-A-M!!!...
 

    ...The most beautiful pink flowers were everywhere! :-)
 

     And look at the sunshine we had yesterday, peeking through the branches and flooding those magnolia blooms with some happiness to grow on! :-) ...
 

      Unfortunately hubby's garden...or at least portions of it...aren't looking that 'bloomy'!...

      ..but the other part...mostly the neighborhood's part... :-)) ...is looking quite 'bloomy'...and beautiful!!!...
