Say "Hello!" To Monday....And To The Continuing Saga Of My New Bag!!
I know it doesn't look like much. :-)) But I think that might be because of my photos!...*That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! LOL*...The truth be told, it's a really substantial tote bag! In fact, it's TWO tote bags, one within the other. Uhhhh...I just couldn't do that lining thing again. I JUST COULDN"T!!! LOL
There's also a large metal ring crocheted into the base of the bag too, so that the bottom will always sit flat on the ground, or wherever you sit it, and it'll be wide open in the bottom. :-)
I have to do the handles for it today. I've already consulted with my 'resident-man-on-hand' about whether the handles should be like a tote bag, or like a shoulder bag. He says: 'Shoulder bag'.
I'm also gonna put one of these brooches on the side too. You know, to 'spiff' it up! ^_^ ...
Stay tuned to the finished product!! ^_^ I may be back later today to show it to you ALL DONE!! :-)
In other news: Hubby dated himself today by coming into the room and saying...after being in the mirror looking at the hair coming out of his ears..."I look like a box full of Tribbles!!" Ha! Ha! Ha! I almost fell out on the floor!!!! LOL
Now, unless you watched 'Star Trek' back in the late 1960s the whole 'Tribbles' thing might go over your head, but it didn't go over my head...I'm OLD!!! ^_^ And the reference to them and my hubby's ear hair is F-U-N-N-Y!!!!!! LOL...But, truthfully, his ear hair is only that bad in his mind. I almost don't even notice it when I turn over in bed at night....except for that 'swooshy' muffled sound when he turns in my direction and his 'Tribble' hits me in the face!! ^_^ (just kidding!!!)
And in other news...it's U.S. Open tennis tournament time starting today!!! ^_^ Can you see the big smile on my face? Can you hear the band playing? Can you see me running around my house with my tennis racket in one hand, and a bottle of pain killers in the other?! :-))
Okay...that's enough silly for now. I'll be back later!! ^_^
Do You Play?!
I had some 'Play Time' in my youth,
back when my hips could take the heat.
I couldn't wait to find someone
that I could race, chase down, or beat!
How many times did I 'Hopscotch',
play some marbles, skip a rock?
And a game of 'Tag' could go
until I couldn't see the clock!
All my games were very active.
So much energy, People! WOW?!
But things have changed. It's different,
because I'm so much older now!
I still have 'Play Time' at my age,
but the games are slow and rare.
I like board games, playing cards,
things you do right from your chair.
The games I watch can't be too long.
I'll fall asleep! I'm kind of nod-dy.
And I have to use my mind.
No running round now with this body.
I play with things like yarn,
and with hooks...even thread.
And I play with pen and pencil,
pulling poems from my head.
Whichever way, I have to play!
It's my excuse to have a laugh.
I just have to keep it slow.

Crocheting...Pizza...Football.....SCORE!!!
I've been a bit preoccupied the last couple of days, between snow watching, pizza eating, and crocheting. All....well...most of them...necessities, to keep my mind on the smile-worthy side! :-) But you can probably guess which one of the three activities could be left out!! LOL
The one thing I haven't been preoccupied with is blogging! ^_^ Did you notice?!...The truth is I haven't been feeling my uppermost best. I had another incident with the old puke bucket...all night. YUCK! And the next day my stomach was not in a friendly mood...At...ALL!! O_O
It wasn't a flu bug or anything. It was a bad chicken wing from one of the local fast food restaurants! O_O That's what I get for trying to buy something fast and cheap!!...Lesson learned!!...Moving on!! ^_^
I'm feeling much better now, just in time for another snow storm to hit us this coming weekend!! UGH!...The good news being that I'll have tons of quiet snow-watching time to finish my custom ordered baby blanket! :-) I just finished crocheting the name into it...in little white heart shapes! ^_^
If you look closely, you can see what her name is...I hope! ^_^
Maybe I'll share the blanket completely finished by the end of the storm...around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. :-) You probably can't tell, but that last sentence was written with me smiling from ear to ear with hopefulness!! :-))
Speaking of smiling from ear to ear, that's what I was doing when one of my dear girlfriends called and said: "Would you guys like to have a pizza for dinner?!" ^_^
And she had already ordered it!! :-) I guess she knew that the answer would be.....YES!!!!!!! ^_^ She had one side of it all cheese, and the other side pepperoni and spicy sausage!...Now tell me, would you have turned it down?! ^_^
In other news, my other girlfriend finished one of her crochet 'football slippers'! :-]
She used different colors for hers...her son's favorites, I think. And she let her son stuff it. :-) Can you see his...uhhhhh...generous hand?! :-)
She's almost finished with her second one...except for the stuffing! ^_^ I think I'm kinda jealous!...I know my hubby is!! LOL...Yeah, I know, I'm gonna have to make him a pair of football slippers!!...And soon! :-))
Okay...time to 'kick'...*football...kick....get it?!* ^_^...this blog post to the curb!! LOL Have a good rest of the day, Y'all! ♥

Did You Have A Playhouse As A Kid?!
If you saw my post earlier this morning...MUCH earlier!... ^_^ ...you can now see by my rambling words that I finally woke back up! Ha! Ha! Well, actually, I've been awake for quite a while, but I've been watching tennis, and crocheting, and staying offline because of the thunderstorms passing through our area! O_O It's still raining, and will be until tomorrow they say! Thus explains this post. Sorta kinda. ^_^
When it gets really rainy and dark outside, and my eyes get too tired from wearing my head light to crochet, I let my mind wander off...to play! :-) Do you remember playing when you were a kid?!...Well, I still do it as an adult! LOL
That's why this playhouse caught my eye!! :-) Oh, how I wish I had one of these when I was a kid playing in the woods, pretending that weeping willow trees were rain coming down, and that tree branches and stumps were doors and chairs on our outside house. ^_^ It would've been so cool to have an actual door!...that you could close!! ^_^ ...
I love this look of this playhouse!...It's like a little quiet reading room. Or a place to practice your acceptance speeches, for when you win the literary award of your life!!...or a Grammy. Whichever one comes first! LOL
And if there was a playhouse for chickens...this other house from this shop would be the one! :-) ...
Oh yeah, I have friends that might like this little 'chicken playhouse'! :-) If I had the cash, it would be theirs!...two of them!! :-]
Okay...I'm done doing blog posts for today. And I'm done playing house. ^_^ I' gonna show you some photos hubby took in the yard, and then call it a day!!...
I had to end it with a flower, didn't I?! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day, Everybody!!

A Pause.............For Basketball! :-)
Forgive me, blog readers. It's been a long day, and all I can do now that I'm awake after a very...very...long nap is get ready to watch some basketball!! ^_^ And I know, I know!...any of you not living in the U.S. will even know who these two teams are!...but it's the NBA finals, Baby!!!... ^_^ ... and the French Open tennis tournament is a whole day of a distant memory away!! LOL
I do have one other thing to share with you before I go though!...I made a new listing in my wuglyees shop! :-) ...
I bundled two of my crochet necklaces together!...In other words, you can now get TWO necklaces at the same time! ^_^ PLEASE...somebody get excited about this besides me!! LOL
Unfortunately, my bundling efforts still haven't brought any traffic to my shop. :-( I may have to give up trying to make it financially feasible for now. I just got a notice that my business license fee is soon gonna be due...it's $100 I can't afford to spend right now!! O_O Especially since I'm not selling anything!!
Oh well!...I still have basketball! ^_^ Thank you, NBA!! ♥ See ya later, Everybody!!

I'm feeling Green!...Mixed With A Little Blue And White!
SWEET!!!! ^_^ ... and I'm not just talking about the gorgeous honey pots (header photo) either!...although they really are sweet, aren't they?! ^_^ No. I'm talking about my football team's victory yesterday! :-)
The Seattle Seahawks...GO, Green, Blue, and White!! ^_^...took the Denver Broncos to the wood shed, Y'all!!! :-)) ...
Today there's probably a lot of people wondering: "Hmmmm...where exactly is Seattle on the map?!" LOL Yep! There's probably gonna be a lot of Seattle visitors this coming year! ^_^ And, no doubt, some new fans! :-) ...
I have to confess that I, myself, am a new Seattle Seahawks fan. I'm a tried and true, love em' or hate 'em, fair weather or great weather, Dallas Cowboys fan! :-) And if the Seahawks and the Cowboys end up in the Superbowl against each other next year.....I'm jumping the Seahawk ship first thing!!! LOL I'll be riding a Cowboy all the way to the touchdown poles!!! ^_^
Clearly, my loyalties, football-wise, are not that solid. LOL...In fact, I'm pretty familiar with all of the Seattle Seahawk player's back stories now, but prior to this week...from the time my Cowboys got put out of the playoffs...I only chose Seattle to follow because their uniforms most closely looked like my Cowboy's uniforms. ^_^ What can I say...I need a tea to root for or football games just don't make sense!! LOL
What always makes sense to me though, is color! :-) That's why the Seahawk colors ended up in one of my flower pin boutonnieres! ^_^ ...
I also made one with Denver Bronco colors, but uhhhh......I'm not showing them off today. It just doesn't seem right somehow! ^_^ Truth be told, they're probably not showing themselves anywhere today either!! LOL...GO, HAWKS!!! ^_^ ...
My dad is a Denver Broncos fan. ^_^ Hubby and I called him at halftime yesterday...okay...it was to 'razz' him! ^_^ Oh! So fun!!!! ^_^ He started 'razzing' his own team by the time we hung up!! LOL
That was 'football fan, Wug'.....Today I'm 'good daughter, Wug'. So, I think I'll call him and tell him how great Peyton Manning is anyway (the quarterback for Denver), and how he's already racked up so many accolades anyway, that one silly Superbowl ring wouldn't make any difference! :-] ... Then I'll wait for dad to start 'razzing' me!! ^_^
The Denver Broncos is not my dad's first team choice either Guess what team is. :-) ... Yep!....The Dallas Cowboys!! ^_^ And then it's the New England Patriots.....and then Denver! So, he won't let this loss bother him too much...until next season starts all over again! ^_^
For me, I'm a winner right now!! ^_^ But, as long as there is some kind of sports on, I'm a winner almost every day sports-wise....Truthfully, in life, I'm a winner all the time!! ^_^ From the God I worship, to the husband I spend every day with, to my many loving friends and family!!! ♥ Let's put it this way...if I had it in cash, I'd own Google, Facebook, and Twitter, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and the Rockefeller family!!!! ^_^
I'm feeling good today!...Can you tell?!! ^_^ Humor me. I don't get to play that much anymore. :-)) Have a good week, Y'all!! :-)

Colorful Saturday!
We're still alive, hubby and I, after our 'virtual date' of sleep...sleep...and more sleep....our trip to dreamland! ^_^ ... Yeah! We stayed home, ate catfish and sausage, and got us a long earned, much needed 'nap-o-rama'!! LOL
It was a good date!...but, of course, no good date goes unpunished!...This morning I can barely move my left hand! LOL Well, not the whole hand...just the middle finger up to the palm of my hand. I think it's an arthritis flare-up, because it's all swollen at the joints and knuckle...And I hope it goes away pretty soon! That's the hand I hold my thread in, when I crochet!!! O_O
So, for now I'll just have show off other people's crochet! :-) That's why I shared the colorful cupcake scarf in the header photo!...And this one below!...
I'm sure I'll get back to my crocheting after I rest my hand for a couple of days...Or, at least, I hope so!! O_O That's what I get for napping too much!! LOL...And being too old!...and being too....! Ugh! This could go on forever!! LOL I'll just stop there. :-))
Instead of going on and on about my age and ailments, I'll share some more Saturday color!...
Now I'm off to finish my green tea...and see if I can soak my aching finger/hand!...What next, right?!......Well, stop asking!!! LOL I don't ask questions like that!!...Something new might happen!...And I wanna keep my feebleness and pain spurts to a minimum!!! LOL
Enjoy your Saturday, Everybody! Go and play, or something! :-)

"LIFE"......It's Moving On!
As a woman in the middle of my life now...so to speak! :-) ...I've found out a few things about life. And I'm gonna take this Sunday morning to tell you about a couple of them. :-] ...One thing is that 'Life' is gonna move on no matter what you do, think, or say!
'Life' doesn't care if you had a bad hair day, birthed a baby, buried your best friend, cooked the best meal you ever had, started a new job, got fired, ate a whole box of vanilla wafers, or lost all of your teeth in a fishing accident...*don't ask*...'Life' is going to MOVE ON!!!! LOL
'Life' is gonna keep coming at you with season after season, snow, wind, rain and growing trees and flowers...
Even when the neighbor's little toddler girl picks every one of the flowers...
...life just moves the next seedlings into place, and grows some more! :-) And grows them in a different color and kind!!...Aren't they pretty?! :-) Hubby and I saw them along the edge of the woods this morning. I made him go out and take a picture of them before 'little one' saw them and decided she wanted grandma to wobble her up the edge of the woods to just 'LOOK' at them!....Uh huh!...Yeah, right!! ^_^ {If you don't know what I'm talking about, you have to read the post I did a couple of days ago HERE.}
'Life' also has a way of bundling up it's treasures and dispensing them one-at-a -time...even Etsy treasures! :-) ..."Look So Pretty!"
Thanks for adding my hat to your treasury, Cathy! :-) ...
'Life' also has a way of letting you know that even when your year hasn't been so good...lost a job, health not cooperating, money dwindling, sales down, and death and illnesses all around you with the people you love...it will get better! :-] You will recover!...You can adjust!...And you will be useful, even if it's in a different way than you expected!...Case in point...
Hubby was o his way to the store the other day and saw this truck! :-) This is the company he used to work for...but this is an OLD version of the truck he drove. In fact this truck preceded his time even!
The company went out of business now, so he couldn't figure out why this truck was out in front of one of the stores! O_O ... But then he saw the front of it and it all became crystal clear! ^_^ ...
The old 'Hostess' cupcake truck was apparently bought by someone 'second hand'.....it looks more like '7th hand!' ^_^ ...and they transformed it into a snow plow!!!! ^_^
'LIFE!'.....it's gonna move on!...and if you sit still too long you might end up being a snow plow!!! LOL....Message received, life!! ^_^ I'm off to have my pancakes and get a move on!!!! ^_^ I may even get some time to play today!! ... You have a good one too! :-)
