O_O I'm trying to line up some things to talk about (including the ton of tote bags and baby things I've been making!!), and I'm dragging my camera out of the 'LOST' pile! LOL It's been lost...I've been dragging...my crocheting has been stalled...and I've been silent WAY TOO LONG!! ^_^ So stay tuned!!       Hello Y'all!...Today marks my first day getting back to a regular daily routine. I have to....I HAVE TO!! ^_^ I miss talking too much! LOL

      And I miss sharing my flowers with you....thus, the sharing of the flowers on the pretty wall hanging plaque in my header photo! ^_^

      Otherwise I've been really, really busy crocheting....for a few weeks now. I guess the weather is the reason for that!...mostly anyway. But I've also been making some crochet beaded necklaces. So, maybe it's not ALL about the weather. ^_^

      Here's the last custom order I finished:

      It was 4 crochet striped scarves and hats. :-)
 

 

      The only buttons I had to apply were to the soft pink and white hat (above)...{By the way, if you want me to make you a set, scarf and hat, in your choice of colors, just leave me a message below. Only $38 for the set, plus shipping.}

      The only other things I've been doing lately is making cookies...and hubby made cheesecake yesterday. :-) 

      Was I mad about him making the cheesecake?...NO!! ^_^ It was delicious!! But we definitely had to share it with other people! I couldn't leave all of that cheesecake in here!!!! LOL

      Okay...for today, that's it! ^_^ I'll be back tomorrow with SOMETHING else! Who knows what!! I'm just playing it by daily ear at this point. :-)) Have a good day, Everybody!! ♥

Ready For Some 'Tea Time' And A Little Chat?!

      Hello! :-) ... Yes, I know I just posted a blog late last night. But I've decided to go back to my usual daily posts....Stop shaking your head!! LOL...I have to admit that I miss the outlet of talking about my every move! ^_^ Okay, not really. I just love the creative mind-set that writing puts me in. I probably should re-read, and then re-write my book!...The book I wrote about my life over fifteen years ago!!...That would be the opportunity for me to get this 'writing bug 'out of my system, for sure! :-) ... I'll think on it! :-]

      In the meantime, I thought I'd share some conversation with you over a cup of tea! :-) Do you have your tea?!...or coffee?...or whatever?! ^_^ Well, here goes!...I'm getting so old!!! O_O Yeah, I know I've said that before. But this time...YIKES!...Hubby and I were talking over the weekend and something he said reminded me that I'm on the 'sunny side' of sixty!! O_O You know, sorta like being on the sunny side of a hill...The hill that I'm over, by a mile!!! LOL  

      The age, in itself, doesn't bother me...because I'm still 'ME' in my head...whatever age I am! ^_^ But it occured to me that I'm in the age range where doctors start asking you the 'old people' questions! And they want you to take the tests that 'old people' take! O_O The tests that tell them whether you're wearing out or not! LOL

      Well, I've got news for the doctors......Uhhhh....I 'AM' wearing out!! LOL I don't need a test to tell me that either!! ^_^ I have aches and pains that are stressing my aches and pains! And I have things leaking and popping, graying and wrinkling, drooping and making noises, and.....GETTING OLD!! :-)) 

      Time is not being kind to my poor body!...But the whole while my brain is doing great!! I'm getting wiser and calmer, less emotionally taxed, more thoughtful, and entirely more spiritually aware! :-] So, if I have to choose one...body or mind...I'm happy with the one I have. :-) ... "Go ahead time! Do you!! :-) And I'll do me!!"...

      I'm not gonna talk about my 'old lady' body anymore though! I'm gonna talk about how creative people on Etsy are!! :-] It's been such a pleasure for me to share their creations and craftiness! :-) It's made the time go by really fast while I was here talking my head off! ^_^

      Today I'm busy doing some creating myself!...more crochet lapel flowers and brooches, of course! :-) I'm also 'fooling around' with the wording in some of my wuglyees shop listings...to try to bring more traffic to the shop...It's been almost ZERO traffic lately...I saw that a lot of Etsians were complaining about it in the Etsy forums. So I know I'm not alone.

      I also hear that this is the time of year...from February to mid-April...when things slow waaaay down as far as people buying on Etsy. That maybe true. But it shouldn't stop people from 'looking', should it?!...It sure doesn't stop me from looking!! ^_^

Saturday...You Are The Best Thing....!!

      I guess there's no sense in trying to ask what it is about Saturdays that makes us love them so much, huh?! The answer is pretty clear. Because it's Saturday! That's why!! LOL It's not a work day. Saturday is a 'get-all-the-other-stuff-done' day! Including 'fun-stuff'!! ^_^

      My Saturday started really early, with a good breakfast...But started going downhill with an aggravating argument with my hubby about 'short cuts'...Grrrrr!...I don't know if it's me, but I just think that hanging up your coat, and putting the car keys on the designated hook when you come back in the house, makes better sense than leaving them on the back of a sofa, or on the bathroom sink...and having to look for them for fifteen minutes the next time you want to leave the house!!...Yeah, it must be me!! LOL

      Of course...it's still Saturday!...So, WHATEVER!! ^_^ ...

      I'm looking forward to having hubby home from work today...even though he may not be so happy with me right now! LOL We've been married for over thirty years though, and I know that he'll love me still...annoyances and all...by the time he goes out and talks to people about Jehovah God for a couple of hours door-to-door...And after I smile at him a little. :-)

      Then he'll get out of his suit, put on some jeans, and I'll put him to work helping to get the house in order...and so will go another Saturday! ^_^ Peaceful!!...

      I was gonna spend part of this Saturday collecting questions from you blog followers, for a post I was thinking of doing. But...uhhhh...my survey yesterday to see how many people are reading my blog...was a bust!! LOL The only comments I got were from one person who admitted that she reads my blog ^_^ and people whose Etsy items were shared...NO ONE ELSE said they were following the blog!! O_O

      Either that means I'm writing blog posts mostly to myself...which is probably true, and isn't necessarily a bad thing! ^_^...OR no one else wanted to let me know that they were reading my silliness!...OR they just didn't have time to respond!...which wouldn't make a lot of sense, because if they had time to read the post, they would've had time to respond! LOL So, it must be the first thing...NO ONE ELSE  is reading it!! ^_^

      And again...it's all good...because now...it's Saturday!! LOL...

      This is my 1,345th blog post!...SHOCKING! O_O I just saw the number as I was getting ready to write this post!...*shaking my head*...Who knew that one woman could talk this much...every day...for YEARS!! LOL
      You could go back and look for yourself HERE, but back when I started this blog...back in April of 2010...I wasn't thinking about what I would be talking about every day up until 2013! Ha! Ha! No...I was worried about putting my creative juices on display. ^_^ I was also worried about whether my brain cells would hold out....DONE! ^_^ 
      To my credit, in that first post I warned readers that I was long-winded! ^_^ Boy, did that prove to be true!! LOL...because here I am, over three and a half years later, STILL TALKING!! ^_^ CRAZY!!!....Maybe I shoulda just warned people that I was crazy! LOL
      ANYWAY!! It's too late now! ^_^ ... So, what am I gonna talk about for my 1, 345th post?!...Autism and animals! :-) ...

      Don't worry though. I'm not gonna talk about it that deeply. :-)) I'm only mentioning it at all because I just saw a little documentary on 'Temple Grandin'. A friend recommended that I see the movie about her life (which I still can't seem to get my hands on anywhere!...just saying! Ugh!).
      I was fascinated with her 'visual thinking', and how she noticed the movements of animals...especially cattle...I have got to see her movie!!!...It was fascinating to me because I always considered myself a 'word' thinker. But after looking at her documentary I realized that I am probably more of a visual thinker than I previously thought!
      And I also realized that I'm very attuned to my surroundings!...the movements of my backyard animals...especially the birds...

      I'm also attuned to people's movements and what it says about how they're feeling. I read my husband like a book all day every day!! ^_^ Yep!...CRAZY!!! LOL Not him......ME!! ^_^
      Is it possible that I'm like Einstein and other intelligentsia?!....Uhhhhh......No!!! I'm not so crazy as to be thinking that!!! LOL But I do think deeply about a lot of stuff that other people probably don't think that much about!..like, for instance, what a good thing it is that God didn't create humans with their ears on top of their head!! ^_^ Imagine the conversations you'd miss when it rained...having to spend half the time bent over, shaking water out of your ears!! LOL

Breakfast Update Chat!

      Sit down, rest your feet, grab a cup. Will it be green tea with honey and lemon, hot chocolate, or coffee?!...That's all I'm offering today. I'm not in the mood to talk blog themes, show Etsy photos...Well, except the one in the header photos with the goodies. ^_^ I could've shown her whole shop here if I was in the mood to show pictures though!

      I just wanted to take a minute and catch you all up on what's been going on in a 'Wug's life'! LOL I realized the other day that I haven't been telling you what's been going on. Today is the day! :-]

      First of all, even though I've been kinda leaning on the more negative side of blog updates, things are going okay. In other words, I'm coping with things as they come, even though there haven't been as many good things coming as I would like!...There have been a few deaths, some illnesses, some financial upheavals, some disappointments, lots of exhaustion, and some 'cra-cra'-crazy hormonal issues!!!

      Other than that, there has also been a few issues with my mother-in-law. Her home having been broken into a couple of times among them! O_O Right now we're in the process of emptying her house so that she can move on. Maybe the new owners will be able to figure out how to make the house a happy family home for some new tenants to reside in...in peace! I hope so...The world can be a scary crazy place sometimes!...just saying!

      In between the selling of her house and moving into a new place though, mom may come and live with us for a time. That's still up in the air though. We'll see. You can't 'bank on' too much in this system! Just when you think you have it all figured out, somebody throws a monkey wrench at your head, and all kinds of 'slippery when wet' signs start showing up on your road! LOL...Don't try to figure those words out. You're dealing with hormonally crazy right now. Just go with it!! ^_^

      By the way, that's one of the other issues I'm really trying to get a handle on...my hormones. They have been all over the place!! And my body doesn't like it one bit!! My body has been spitting and jerking and throwing stuff out left and right!!...trying to clean house I think. LOL

      But here's the good news....I'm still breathing. I still have my sense of humor...and so does my hubby. THANKFULLY!!! ^_^ I'm still 'rolling with the punches', and ducking, bobbing, and weaving when necessary!! LOL

      My Wuglyees shop is not selling that much right now, but I'm still crocheting anyway. I've gotten a lot of promises from 'high-muckety-muck' customers who love my flower boutonnieres and say they're gonna send their friends and clients my way too. So I'm trying to stay ready! :-) I've also been doing a few off-line custom pieces for people. The baby sweater I mentioned yesterday is one of those...I'll show you more on the sweater tomorrow. I may even be finished with it by then! ^_^

      Other than that, I can now report that I finally got my stipend for healthcare. YAY!!!!...I had applied a long, long, time ago...and it's been a long paperwork-filled road full of ups and downs! Finally though, we'll be able to breathe a little...a little! :-) And we're totally thankful!!...Now, if only hubby's job can move him back to a bit closer to home, all will really be good!...until I write "The Great Novel, with poetic footnotes" and be able to get my two million dollar check and stop him from having to work at all!! LOL...I know, I know!...Don't hold my breath! ^_^

       Sorry for being so wordy today, but it's hard to do updates without those 'pesky' words! ^_^ I'm all done for now though. So, I will say goodbye, til it be morrow! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

I May Be Losing My Ability To Talk...!

      Big News!...I think I'm losing my 'talker' ability! O_O Are you shocked?!...Surprised to hear me say that?!...Unimpressed?!....Don't care?! ^_^ WHATEVER!!! LOL

      Okay...so maybe it's not that big of a news event. But hey!...it 'is' a concern! At least for me...I'm finding that I have to make myself focus these days to want to talk about anything! I'd much rather just sit quietly and crochet...or if I can't crochet...just listen to Bible and magazine readings or music!

      Don't get me wrong...I still like talking... CLEARLY ^_^... but just not talking the way I used to talk...you know...sticking to a subject. No. I'm wanting to talk more randomly. More 'fly-by-the-seat-of-my-britches' kinda talking! LOL...you know...like this! ^_^

      Maybe the reason is because there seems to be so much less that's good and 'smile-worthy' to talk about in my life right now....Yeah. That definitely could be it! O_O I mean, who wants to giggle and talk through daily sickness, friends dying, lack of funds to pay bills, government shutdowns that hijack your income, and food supplement programs that tell you that your barely getting by is not looking poor enough for them to help you out...YET?!! O_O 

      Yeah!...That's it. I just don't wanna come to the blog and complain all day every day! That's not how I roll! ^_^ I get on with it!!!...I talk to the person I know can do something about it... :-) ...and I wait for the 'good' to flow back into my 'talkability'! :-) I know it'll happen. I just have to give it some time.

       In the meantime I'm fighting the inner pressure to just stop blogging all together until things get more 'smile-worthy', :-( and instead...I've made up my mind to keep trying to get some traffic to my 'cricket sounding' playground of an Etsy shop (Wuglyees)! Ugh! Sales are practically non-existent! And I can't afford to keep renewing items and promoting, with no equalizing going on even!

      But, as long as I'm here, and as long as Etsians keep creating, I'll keep talking about that!...at least. :-] ... And I'll keep showing off their flowers! :-) ...

      Before I take off I wanted to show you the cool...CHEAP!...flowers I bought the other day!...Less than $5.00 for all of them!!...

      I saw them and thought: "Ooooo! Those would look so cool on some brooch keychains or something!!"...Then my clicker finger did it's thing! ^_^ ... and I got them over the weekend!...

      They're really pretty! :-) ... but two things bother me about them...and it's TOTALLY my fault!...they're bigger than I thought they were gonna be (I didn't check the size. I just looked at the picture....DUH!)...

      ...and they don't have a hole in them to put a needle through! O_O Now what am I gonna do with them?! O_O Any suggestions would be appreciated...like maybe one of you taking them off of my hands for a while....and...you know...maybe drilling a hole in them for me, or attaching some kind of button-hookie-loopie-thingee on the backs of them! LOL...THANK YOU! ^_^ And if any one of you 'is' really willing to do this for me, I'll make you three crochet flowers of your choice!! :-) That's a good barter, right?! ^_^

I Have All Kinds Of Things Swimming Through My Mind Today!

      I don't know how it's possible to think about as many things at one time as I do...but somehow I do it! ^_^ And today is no different!...I'm thinking about how tired I am. I didn't sleep well. That's because I made the mistake of eating too much bread in 'virtual' Jamaica last night, and then was up all night scratching because of ingesting too much yeast!! Ugh!!!

      I'm thinking about how cute this little stack ring (above) is that I saw in my half asleep Etsy search this morning. :-] I used to have one sorta like it a while ago. I wonder if I still have it?! O_O Now, you know it's a shame when you have so much jewelry that you don't know exactly what you have!!...Time to go 'shuffling'!! LOL

      I'm also thinking about how I now have a new way to make my brooches and boutonnieres, thanks to a customer the other day. :-) She ordered a brooch, and then emailed me to see if I could put a 'button clutch pin' on the back instead of my foldable fastener pin....Hmmmm..."What is a button clutch pin?" I asked myself. O_O

      So off I went to do some research, and to see if my local stores had them...whatever they were!...and if I'd be able to incorporate them on my lapel flowers...What a schooling I got!! :-) This is a button clutch pin...

      ...Or, as the Etsy shop basilandfluffy calls it, a Tie Tack Blank Pin and Clutch Back Pin! :-) ... I made her brooch with a clutch pin, and away it went! ^_^ I'll know if she likes it when she contacts me after receiving it.

      I like it a lot, but the only draw back would be if you had a thick material to put the pin through. The actual pin part is kinda short...But I love the fact that you have to squeeze the clutch part together on the back in order to put it on or take it off! :-) 

      I never wanted to use this kind of pin because I thought they were kinda 'iffy' as regards the brooch pin falling off. There's no chance of that happening with this clutch pin. Once you get it on, it's staying put! :-) "Thank you, Customer...who shall remain nameless unless you want me to name you!!" ^_^

      I also have swimming through my head today the fact that hubby's out-of-state sister is here!! ^_^ Hubby is so excited that he'll get to see his 'Big Sis' today! :-) It's been a couple of years...or more!!

      Boy!...You miss one little day of having your computer, and everything goes haywire! :-] At least that's how it feels!...Yeah, I'm still trying to catch up...And so is my computer! Updating and updating and UPDATING!!!

      'Owl' be alright though. ^_^ It's bound to catch up and go back to normal eventually! LOL In the meantime, 'owl' just hang around, do some crocheting, get a nap here and there, and check out some things on Etsy...like owl mobiles! :-)

      No! I should not be looking at handbags!! ^_^ I have enough bags already to carry all of Massachusetts and a few kitchen sinks from Mexico in!! LOL But I couldn't help myself from looking! :-) They're crocheted.....and oh so colorful!! :-)
      Speaking of 'crocheted'...I spent the time yesterday, while I was waiting for my computer to update...UGH!...crocheting some new boutonnieres for my Wuglyees shop...
 

     I made another one this morning. :-) I still have to photograph that one though. I'll be listing all of them later today.
     Other than me crocheting, napping, reading, writing, eating, talking, and organizing...there's not a single other thing going on! ^_^ As soon as it does though...rest assured, I'll tell you about it! LOL Until then, 'owl' just be hanging around!...Have a good day, Everybody! :-)
