Is Your Saturday Looking Like This Too?!

      So...what is YOUR Saturday looking like?! Just wondering! ^_^ Oh...you're wondering what MY Saturday is looking like?!...I thought so!! LOL That's why I'm here to tell you all about it! ^_^
       My Saturday looks like beef! ^_^...
 

      ...beef that's been marinated overnight in all kinds of acidic juices, oils, and curry!... :-) ...and then slowly sauteed to a delicious mouth-watering tenderness! YUM! Next Stop?!...I don't know. Maybe a big salad, or a sauce to mix it with and put over rice or egg noodles! Decisions, decisions! ^_^ ...

      This made my Saturday smell pretty good too! Just saying! ^_^

      My Saturday also looks like fútbol!...or should I say: SOCCER, Baby!! :-)) There have been some very good games over the last couple of weeks! And the game today was the best so far! The one I watched the most of was Columbia versus Uruguay. It ended with a 'kick off'......Well, that's what 'I' called it! :-)) {I'm not completely up on the soccer jargon yet.} ^_^
      But anyway, it's where, during an overtime tie, both teams have one guy at a time, up to five in all...kick a ball past the goalie to see who scores. The team with the most points, preferably five!...wins the game! :-) ...It only took three points today for Columbia to win! :-) Congratulations Columbia!! ^_^
 

 (FIFA World Cup)

      My Saturday also looked like tennis!...Wimbledon! :-) Even though it rained almost all day, there were still matches under the roof on center court! :-) {That expensive investment is paying off!!}...Roger Federer won his match, and so did Maria Sharapova!

      It didn't go as well today for Serena Williams...the world number one. Her match with Alize Cornet started in one of the outside courts, and then was interrupted with rain for about five hours!!! O_O Unfortunately for Serena, Cornet wasn't stymied by the rain. She just continued her 'beat-down' of Serena!! O_O ... 

 (Wimbledon)

      This is the first time, I think they said, that Serena didn't get to the finals of Wimbledon since 2007!! O_O Oh well, Cornet will have to take up the slack I guess! :-] But since Maria Sharapova will be waiting for her down the line, I won't 'count my chickens before they hatch' regarding Cornet's Wimbledon championship win! :-)) She'll definitely have to work for it, that being the case!

      Okay....there's one more thing my Saturday is looking like! :-) It's looking like fresh fruit...kiwi and strawberries...whipped cream and pound cake! :-) ...

      I spared you having to look at the whipped cream. ^_^ I figure some things should just be left to the imagination...YOURS, not mine!! :-)) I'm looking at whipped cream...and tasting whipped cream...YUM!...right now!! ^_^ Oh Yeah! This is a good-looking Saturday!!...I hope yours is too!! ♥

Hungry Stomach

My empty stomach's grumbling
was as noisy as could be!
So demanding in it's urging,
and it's "Hungry" symphony.

I awakened to it's music,
and the fluttering that it caused.
I tried to just ignore it,
with its twist and turning gnaws!

Like a 'stick-in-hand' conductor,
setting music to a riot,
I'll direct some food into it,
so that it will just be QUIET!

Easy, Breezy Saturday!

      A little wind. A little rain. A little sunshine. And a little relaxation. That's how my Saturday has gone so far. Awwwww!...And it's led to 'smiles-for-miles' at how easy the day has gone...at least so far! :-) You know how it usually works! As soon as you say how great the day has gone...something happens that makes you wanna eat your words...with a slab of humility lathered on top of them! LOL

      But not me!...not yet anyway! ^_^ So before things change, I wanna share today's pretty Etsy finds...Including the 'easy-flowing' dress in the header photo! :-) ...

      I case anybody is keeping count, it's about 22 rows along so far. ^_^ And I still haven't found the rainbow baby blanket! O_O The hound-dog nose hunt is still on for it though! :-))

Sitting Quiet

I love just sitting quiet,
letting silence be my friend.
I'm not afraid to be alone,
and hear my breathing out and in.

With no T.V. on, or music,
just some thinking done, with me,
In a world where quiet reading
is now called "activity".

There's no reason to be scared,
or to need all kinds of noise,
to create some kind of chaos,
or to look for games and toys;

Just a quiet low lit room,
where I ponder my life course,
where I think of plans ahead,
but no thoughts I have to force.

Just me, still, and sitting quiet.
Nothing altering my mood.
No smoke wafting at my sinus,
no one mad or being rude.

Can you turn off all the gadgets?
Can you hear your own-self sigh?
If you cannot take the quiet,
You should stop and wonder why! 

Saturday...You Are The Best Thing....!!

      I guess there's no sense in trying to ask what it is about Saturdays that makes us love them so much, huh?! The answer is pretty clear. Because it's Saturday! That's why!! LOL It's not a work day. Saturday is a 'get-all-the-other-stuff-done' day! Including 'fun-stuff'!! ^_^

      My Saturday started really early, with a good breakfast...But started going downhill with an aggravating argument with my hubby about 'short cuts'...Grrrrr!...I don't know if it's me, but I just think that hanging up your coat, and putting the car keys on the designated hook when you come back in the house, makes better sense than leaving them on the back of a sofa, or on the bathroom sink...and having to look for them for fifteen minutes the next time you want to leave the house!!...Yeah, it must be me!! LOL

      Of course...it's still Saturday!...So, WHATEVER!! ^_^ ...

      I'm looking forward to having hubby home from work today...even though he may not be so happy with me right now! LOL We've been married for over thirty years though, and I know that he'll love me still...annoyances and all...by the time he goes out and talks to people about Jehovah God for a couple of hours door-to-door...And after I smile at him a little. :-)

      Then he'll get out of his suit, put on some jeans, and I'll put him to work helping to get the house in order...and so will go another Saturday! ^_^ Peaceful!!...

      I was gonna spend part of this Saturday collecting questions from you blog followers, for a post I was thinking of doing. But...uhhhh...my survey yesterday to see how many people are reading my blog...was a bust!! LOL The only comments I got were from one person who admitted that she reads my blog ^_^ and people whose Etsy items were shared...NO ONE ELSE said they were following the blog!! O_O

      Either that means I'm writing blog posts mostly to myself...which is probably true, and isn't necessarily a bad thing! ^_^...OR no one else wanted to let me know that they were reading my silliness!...OR they just didn't have time to respond!...which wouldn't make a lot of sense, because if they had time to read the post, they would've had time to respond! LOL So, it must be the first thing...NO ONE ELSE  is reading it!! ^_^

      And again...it's all good...because now...it's Saturday!! LOL...

      I'm not all about anything 'deep' this morning. It's Saturday. The day notorious for things 'un'-deep!...At least that's the case around my house! ^_^ And today is gonna be no different!

      Don't get me wrong...I have things to do. But the things I have to do are not anxiety-ridden, or schedule driven. They are things all about love. ♥ The love of my God Jehovah...that I like to talk to people about on a nice Saturday. :-)

      My handsome 'other half'! ^_^ I love him too! ♥ I suspect that he's not loving me so much this morning though! :-)) I'm kinda hormonal, and 'complainy'...Yeah, I know it's also probably not a real word! LOL...He's made breakfast three times already, and still...it's making me nauseous. O_O Sorry, honey. I suspect that green tea with honey and lemon, and maybe a toasted raisin bagel may be the only solution this morning...Of course...he can't hear me through my typing fingers. So....gotta go!! LOL {It's a good thing he already has a practiced thirty plus years in, with my hormonal moods I mean! ^_^}

I'm free of fondness now toward rain;
Yet I do love how the rain has focused
my creative brain.

Speaking of my brain,
With all this rain, I just say WOW!
'cause It's keeping me together,
and I'm loving that right now!     

How Do You Have A Balanced Saturday?!

      I'm seeking balance today. Especially after an 'unbalancing' Friday! O=O I woke up yesterday in a very good mood, and as the day went along it kept getting worse and worse! By the time I went to bed last night I was so uneasy that I was up and down all night!

      Hubby's job is in kind of an unsure place right now because of a company's contract not being honored O_O, and the prices for everything keep going up...and up....and UP!! O_O There seems to be a constant state of 'too much month at the end of the money'!!! LOL

      We're staying in prayer about it. That's the only thing we can do right now...put the problem where it can be dealt with properly!! :-) In the meantime we're keeping our oars in the water...so to speak...looking to see which way the stream is flowing.

      For today, the beginning of a new campaign in the ministry, we're focusing all energy on other people, and giving them an invitation to a great event...We are all in this thing together, people! And we all need a way out!! Thankfully there is one! :-)

      Before I go off to balance myself with that though, let me share the finds from Etsy that got my attention...and the latest clutch back boutonnieres from my shop! :-) ...

       I think this is the way to a balanced Saturday. Take care of your spiritual business...look at some tennis (Djokovic and Federer are playing each other in the semi-finals, and then Nadal and Ferrer!!! ^_^)...and do some crocheting!.....And take lots of deep breaths! :-]

      Have a good Saturday, and Weekend, Everybody!! :-]

Balance

You teeter totter, in the middle,

to go from balanced to 'too much'!

So try to keep a balanced eye,
 a balanced plate, and balanced life.
Keep your feelings all in check,
and minimize the stress and strife.

And don't compare your sense of balance
 to your neighbor's...you're alone.
Because your neighbor's also trying
to get some balance of his own!

      Now it's the day AFTER the 'virtual date'. Now What?! O_O ... I know! I'll tell you what I'll be doing today!...

That Something Different

I like things that are different.
Things that somehow catch my eye.
Things not quite 'Just The Same'.
Things that make me want to buy.

I can't put my finger on it
as to why they move me so.
They're not whimsical or gory;
And not lavish. This I know.

Sometimes it's just their color.
Other times it's how they're worn;
Or Sometimes it's just how beautifully
they're painted, sewn, or torn.

With 'Different' as the gauge,
it could be most anything.
I guess that's why I keep on looking.
Hoping for that 'Different' zing.

When I find that 'Something Different',
I'll pay cash or click or dial;
Or I may just show it off;
(Like I just did) and sit and smile.
