'Back To You', Baby Wuglyee!

     Me and 'Baby Wuglyee' are taking a break today...to recoup. We're not feeling our best, but after a bit of rest and relaxation of the mind, we should be back to ourselves soon...Maybe even tomorrow....*Yawn*...hopefully!...See you then.

Tired
 
Sapped, low,
weary, slow.

Dragging about,
plum tuckered out.

Fatigued, spent,
No power surge sent.

Depleted, drained,
almost empty-brained.

Pooped, sucked dry,
out of gas, can't try.

Exhausted, fried,
 done in, mopey-eyed.

Tired? There's no doubt!
'Cause I'm all petered out.

     Uhhhhh...I don't wanna talk about pancakes! LOL In case you don't know what I'm talking about, every Sunday is 'Pancake Sunday' in our house....*We eat 'em. We don't celebrate 'em! ^_^*...but I just wasn't in the mood for that bloaty feeling that comes with a big batch of syrup filled pancakes this morning.

     I was in the mood for etsy browsing, and cats! :-) Cats...on a cute handbag tote, to be exact! ^_^ ...

     I started giggling as soon as I saw the expression on the cat's faces. :-)) And then I looked around in her Etsy shop a little more, you know...to see if she had any other cute bags! ^_^ That's how it works, you know. One look leads to a giggle, and a giggle leads to a browse...And you know what a browse can lead to!...if you have a 'live' clicker finger and a little money in your bank, that is!.....which, in my case...uhhhhhh...I do not! ^_^ I mean, I 'do' have a finger, but I just 'don't' have the money in the bank! LOL 

       Whatever!...I still can look, right?! ^_^ ...

     Pretty, right?! ^_^ ...Now...what was I talking about?! O_O Oh, yeah!...pancakes. I was talking about how I wasn't in the mood for pancakes this morning!!...But I didn't tell you why! ^_^ ...

     I was in the mood for cats and other Etsy browsing, instead of pancakes, because I knew that the cats and other browsing would allow me to keep smiling while I waited for the breakfast in bed hubby said he was making me! ^_^

     The breakfast in bed that consisted of bacon....Yummmmmm!...eggs...cheesy grits...and hot green tea, with honey and lemon! ^_^
 

      What?! O_O ... Would you rather I show you all of the piles of dirty snow we have around here?... Or the frozen food in the suet feeder...again?! LOL.....I didn't think so!!
      Okay...I'm off to get yelled at by some curlers...(ice sport game, not pink rollers you put in your hair to get a little loopy curl! LOL)...while I try to get another bit of sleep before my day really gets started....*yawn*...I didn't get much sleep last night, and I am exhausted!!!...***NOTE TO SELF: Try to see if you can find an emoticon that has a face with bags under the eyes. That would be a lot quicker than writing the words: "I'm exhausted and I have bags under my eyes" all the time! LOL***

A Little Doze'll Do You!

I enjoy my sleeping, and a doze,
a nap, and such.
In fact I might enjoy a snooze
entirely waay too much!

At any time of day,
you'll find me like a weeping willow.
Head hung low and dragging,
looking for the nearest pillow.

No, there's nothing wrong.
I'm not depressed. I've still got bounce!
And I can stay awake and be
quite witty when it counts!

But I have been awake for things
when I could have been asleep.
And now my time's so valuable
I don't treat it like it's cheap.

My sleeping, dozing, napping,
is to my life a special key.
It unlocks and refreshes
and dispels anxiety!

Most people try to fill up
every hour in the day.
But me, I'd rather be asleep
and waste it all away.

There's plenty hours left
for all the flit and play and chore.
An hour for a nap right now?!
Why not?! There's 24!!

Frozen!!

     This isn't a photo of one of my chickadees, from my backyard. This beautiful photo was taken by Ashley! :-) It's not for lack of trying on my part though. I've been trying to get a good photo of my little backyard chickadees since the first stiff frozen breeze blew into the backyard...but to no avail. They're too fast for me. :-)

      Speaking of frozen.....brrrrrr!....it's cold!!! O_O And we have snow, on top of snow, on top of snow!! And more on the way this afternoon!!!...The backyard is starting to look a bit like the frozen tundra!

     You know it's cold when icicles start forming on tree branches...

     ...and on the suet bird feeder!! ^_^

     Even the chain to the feeder had a layer of ice!! LOL
 

     This post was just about me lifting my head out from under the covers for a minute to sip on some chicken soup...*I had a little sore throat when I woke up*...and about me re-positioning myself for the afternoon snow storm that's coming!! ^_^
     I had lots of plans for the day...but now?....Nuttin'!! LOL I'm gonna get off this computer, rest my fingers, and throat, and hunker down next to my mister....*I love that big cuddle bunny* :-)) ...at least until he wanders away to do whatever it is he has to do! ^_^ I'll wish him well, and try to hurry him along too!...so that he doesn't cause too much cold air to get under my blanket!!! LOL

No Need For A Poem

There's no need for a poem
about the love that we both share.
No pretty words about our life,
our great affection, loving care.

No, there's no need for such a poem,
but I guess that I just did!

Even My 'Welcome' Mat Wants To Retract The Invitation!

     Yes...that is my 'welcome' mat out in front of the door. But, as you can see, it's not welcoming nobody!!...especially not the snow!! LOL We have an overhang too, so the snow on the mat is what blew on it from the yard!
     Yeah...we have wind blowing too!...and sleet, rain, and....birdies! ^_^ ...

      Watching the woodpeckers, cardinals, and other little birds coming to the feeder during the day, braving the falling snow and wind, made my heart warm. :-] ... And we needed some warm yesterday!!!
     So far, we have about 10 or so inches, with 2-6 more due this morning before it's all over...

     Too bad snow isn't trade-able, like money! ^_^ If it was I'd probably have enough to buy me a house in Hawaii or somewhere by now!! LOL...

     Even the little backdoor grill is saying: "Where, O where, is Spring?!" O_O ...
 

     In the heart of the storm yesterday though, it sure looked pretty!! :-] ...
 

     And the birds seemed to be enjoying it immensely!...

     They would peck a little....rest a little...swing in the wind....peck a little...rest a little...etc. I think you have the drift. LOL
     

     It was actually kind of funny watching a red cardinal on a branch in the distance yesterday. He looked like he was dancing when the wind blew. :-)) Actually he was just trying to get to a stable place to stay put, but the wind wasn't cooperating with him!! ^_^
      Anyway!...all of the above photos were from yesterday. Hubby just took a few photos this morning, so you could see the contrast of snow in the backyard...

     Just look at how weighed down the tree branches are!...And look below at the pile of snow on the suet feeder!!...
 

     I don't know if you can see it in the photo, but the food in the feeder has a thick layer of ice on it too!! Hubby says the birds are gonna have to bring out their 'ice pick beaks' this morning, if they wanna eat!! LOL
 

     I think they better bring their shovels too!! ^_^
 

     "Well, that's the way it is here in Massachusetts!...Back to you, Al!!" LOL...*sigh*...I think I've been watching too many weather reports!! LOL...Have a good day, Everybody!...And think happy thoughts! :-)


 
 I will Be Happy!

Today I will be happy!
I've decided, and so "There!"
And it won't depend on clothing,
or the way I wear my hair.

My 'Happy' has to be
from my head down to my toes.
And not coincidental,
but because that's what I've chose.

I am trying to be happy
when there's always such bad news.
But the good news is that happy
is a way to squash the blues!

So today I will be happy!
I've decided. Enough said!!
There will be plenty of time for sadness,
and for taking to my bed.

Okay, you could be right.
Don't burst my bubble. I am happy!

This Weather Is Producing Some Happy People!

      "Flakes are already flying in Western Massachusetts"!...or so the weather reporters are saying...with those silly grins on their faces, and their arms flailing in front of the blue screen. LOL I don't know if they're right or not, because I can't see it. It's still dark outside. ^_^

      Apparently we're in for another big storm though...Storm PAX! The Weather Channel is showing that we're in for snow...ice...rain...and more snow! Maybe up to as much as 12 inches of snow in fact!!! O_O

     Now, if I was a dog...like the one in the header photo...maybe I would be as excited as the weather people!...but I'm not a dog!...so, UGH!!!

     Yes...I said 'home from WORK'! :-) He's finally back to work, as of yesterday!...We had to laugh though, because he went back to work one day...and now he has a day off today! Ha! Ha! And he may have Friday off too, depending on how bad the storm is!...Now, that's the kind of job you want to have, right?!...one where you're working, but you're really not 'at' work!! ^_^

     Anyway!! ^_^ ... besides me talking my hubby's ear off, maybe playing some 'Scrabble', and snacking...not mush else is gonna be going on around here.....Unless the electricity goes off! Happy Weather People

Weather people are so happy!
So excited about their maps!
Always smiling on the T.V.,
like there's sunshine in their laps.

They're a chitty chatty bunch.
Talking radars and jet streams.
Strangely when the weather turns
their eyes glaze over, and face beams.

I don't know how they are so happy
when there's snow and rain and sleet;
When they do outdoors reporting,
smiling, while with soaking feet!

The places that they go
are where most folks are running from!
Are they brave?, selfless?, crazy?,
 or just really, really dumb?!

I cannot imagine
how they hold their heads up high,
when most folks can't stand their forecasts,
and they make folks want to cry.

They seem so proud and happy;
Fancy ties and great hair-dos!
Disgruntled comments bounce right off,
as do our frequent hiss and boos!!

The conclusion that I've reached
is that they have a 'Happy Gene'.
But, no doubt, they would just say
that they're reporting what they've seen.

Hey! They were not there
when wind and force moved things around!
But they're happy to be able
to now tell us where it's bound!

     Hello!...Sorry, but I'm all wrapped up today! ^_^ I have a lot going on today, and a really BIG and BAD snow storm heading our way for tomorrow. Ugh! So, please forgive the short post today. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow...No promises! ^_^

Weather To Make Your 'Hoopty' Talk!

     With what we had outside our window this morning, we almost didn't want the day to start!...but it had to start. And it had to start very early too!...I'll show you what was outside the window in a minute, but first I wanted to tell you why my day had to start so early...and show you some 'cuties' from Etsy that made the early starting day an alright thing! ^_^
      My day had to start early because I had visitors at 7 a.m.!!! O_O Yep! I said 7 a.m.!!!!...It was the beginning of another long conversation about my health...*sigh*...Nothing life threatening. Just thinking-brain-cell-threatening! Ugh!...I think I'll be driven crazy...unless this change thing goes ahead and changes already!!! LOL 
      
       In the meantime...I'm thankful I have things to make me smile, like octopuses (or is it octopi?! ^_^)like in the header photo...And ice cream! (below)...sorta. ^_^ ...

     ...It's ICE!!!! O_O Tons of it!!...Well, maybe not tons!!....but definitely 'spines' of it!!!
 

     We're having beautiful 'looking' weather as the day goes along, but it's C-O-L-D!!! Brrrrr!...In fact, we had a temperature...if you can call zero a temperature!...so low this morning that I was sure my visitors weren't gonna show up because they're cars weren't gonna crank!...That's what happened to hubby a couple of weeks ago. He went out to go somewhere...when it was below zero!...and the car said to him: "Uhhhhhh...Oh No you didn't try to crank me up in this weather!" LOL
     Needless to say...he didn't go anywhere until later in the day!! LOL That's what happens when you have a 'hoopty' (old broke down used car) with an attitude!! ^_^ Hubby didn't even try to go out this morning! Who knows what that old car would've been saying to him!! ^_^ And hubby did 'not' wanna hear it!!! LOL
