I Can Hardly 'BEAR' Saying Goodbye!

      Hello Y'all!...I'm in a weird mood today. I got an invitation to one of my best friend's going away parties...she's moving to Florida :-( ...and I'm losing the mental battle of trying to be in denial about it. And the reason I'm losing the battle is because she did something that brought a lot of memories from the back of my mind...to the front of my mind, in a teary reality that I'm not ready to acknowledge.

      So, before I tell you what she did...I need to sit down. :-] ...

      The above one has FLOWERS!!! :-) I love it!...I wish I could afford to get it! I have the perfect spot for it!...Well, really, I could find a spot for all of them!! :-)) I'd just have to get rid of some non-essential, memory-holding...broken!...furniture! LOL

      Okay...now that I'm seated, let me tell you what my friend did...She called...we chatted...I cried...Then she asked if I wanted the crochet supplies and yarn that she has leftover in her house. She didn't want to take it to Florida with her. :-( Florida!!!!! ;_;

      Then she asked if I wanted a doll that she made. I use to admire it in her house. She made and painted it 20 years ago. It's of an older lady in her cooking apron. I can't show it to you because it's a dark color and there's not enough light in here so that you'd be able to see the detail of it...Maybe some other time.

      But when I opened the box to get the doll, I noticed that she had sent along a couple of other things too!!...One was this other hand-painted doll...Well, 'bear'-doll...

      I had to manipulate the lighting of this one on Picassa. I'm surprised that it lit up at all! I couldn't really see it when I took the picture! ^_^ I only saw an outline!! :-))

     She also gave me something else...Or should I say, gave me something back! I'll show that to you on another day too. It's something I made years ago. She wants me to have it back because she says she wouldn't need it in Florida...Frankly, I think it's more of a connection thing between the two of us. ;_; You'll know what I mean when I tell you the story...later.
      Hubby just brought me a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. So off I go...to eat! :-) Have a good day, Everybody!

Beauty 

The sun is peeking through.
Its beam is flowing to the ground.
The Autumn at it's new peak,
and the leaves are fluttering down.

A baby girl's joyous laughing,
legs and arms kicking everywhere.
A mother, when she's  nursing,
playing with her baby's  hair.

The gentle rain, when falling
on a southern old tin roof.
A toddler's gap-faced grinning,
when they've  lost their first front tooth.

A man with long, bow legs,
walking slowly down the street.
A colorful spring flower,
visited by a bumble bee.

A person who is kind,
and smiles at everyone they meet.
An artist's painted picture,
with the last brush stroke complete.

An "I love you" that's said
just because they wanted to;
and the person that gives hugs
when they hear an "I love you".
(And there's  other beauty too.)

      Ahhhhhhh!...Finally, a good night's sleep!...although I woke up a little after four a.m. this morning!! :-)) It was still good though, because I fell asleep at around two in the afternoon! O_O I only got up for a couple of hours, and then I was right back down!...Sometimes, for the sake of sanity and rest, you have to let the body go where the body wants to go!!

      But, seeing as I'm all rested and in a fairly good mood...even though I got some bad news last night of a friend's mom dying... :-( ...I thought I'd just share some things that you all could Ooooo, Ahhhhh, and smile about! :-) I started with the twin calves in the header photo! ^_^ ...

      But if talking about color, baby clothes, my Wuglyees sales, and a little bit of this and that is what you're after....stay put!! LOL That's what's on my mind this morning!...and when I say 'mind' I'm speaking lightly. ^_^ My mind is not that together after a night of sleeplessness...Ugh!...Thankfully there's still a 'changing backyard leaf' smile still under this mind though! ^_^

      I'll stick to my 'bear-less' crochet boutonniere flowers for now...thank you very much! ^_^ ...

      I made these three pins, with the butterfly clutch pin backs, as a set. I even decided that I would charge a little bit less for them...in sets! :-) ...

      So, from now on out, any men's lapel flower pins and regular brooch pin flowers will be $10 each in sets, and the men's tiny lapel pins will be $9 each...in sets I mean! :-) ...

     

 If you're buying them individually, they'll still be $10.50 and $9.50 respectively...Hey! I have to pay that shipping cost!! LOL

      Okay, last but not least today, I'm really leaning toward making some baby blankets too!...This one inspired me!...

      Don't worry though, I'm not gonna let that encourage me to complain more, just so that I can get sales! ^_^ That's not how this 'scrambled minded' girl rolls!! LOL I stick to the positive...for the most part anyway!

I only have one brain

There have been times when I felt that I needed
an extra brain to remember some stuff.
An extra noggin to handle the chaos,
when my life and my schedule got tough.

A much bigger cranium for non-essentials;
Somewhere to go when my brain wants to bail.
An extra universe inside my skull space,
where I could place all my 'Mental Junk Mail'.

But, knowing my thinking, there's no use
having two places for my mind to stretch.
Two places to toss around ideas.
Just more balls of ideas I can't catch!

My one brain is an occupied scramble.
A pink-celled, forgetful and frustrated mess!
Do I need another brain somewhere,
holding problems that I must address?

No, I have enough things to focus on.
Things so confusing and numerous to do.
So it's a good thing I only have one brain!
What in the world would I ever do with two!

Thinking Of New........!

      Hello!...You probably noticed that my post title didn't say 'one word' about pancakes! :-] That's because I'm trying to go in a new direction...'pancake free'...at least for now! In fact, 'new direction' is what's on my mind almost all the times these days.

      I'm thinking about new direction in my Etsy shop...maybe in the direction of making baby clothes...Yes! The same baby clothes direction I've been trying to avoid forever! LOL I'm thinking about it though, because I've been getting a lot of requests about whether I made this or that for babies, and if I would please make this or that for their little one!...Hmmmm...You don't have to hit 'me' over the head with a hammer!! ^_^ So.....I'm seriously thinking about it. I'll keep you posted.

      I'm also thinking about new in terms of the city...New York City! :-) I have fond memories, and friends, and family there. And lately all of the above...memories, friends, and family...have been on my mind a lot!...

      Things are changing so fast in the world, aren't they?!...Thankfully, not all of the changes have been bad. :-) Some have been very, very good in fact...New!...in a good way!...I'm not gonna get into the details too much, but suffice it to say that all of my fond memories are keeping me in a kind of low-key mood.

      Speaking of low-key, hubby and I spent almost all of our Saturday listening to the Jehovah's Witness Convention, on tape (or DVD, MP3, I don't know what-ING LOL!!). Because of my health a few months back, at the time of the summer convention, we weren't able to actually attend. :-( So, we were given the tapes of the 3-day event, and we have been listening to every wonderful spiritual morsel!!! :-)

      I wish I could share it with all of you, but I can't! ^_^ I'm sure you can get tons of the information on the website though...JW.org...If you haven't been there, do yourself a favor and GO! :-] There's tons of info on every subject imaginable!! There's even audio recordings and downloads!!...Also NEW stuff!! :-) ... Okay. Enough 'jabbering on'! :-))

      Back to 'New'!...

      Dear Saturday, Why did you wake me up so late this morning?! O_O You knew I had things to do!!And getting started late is not gonna help!...Oh...so that's the reason! :-) ...You knew that Friday had given me a hard time, and you were trying to let me sleep in! :-) Okay...well, I forgive you.

      But Saturday, now that I'm awake, what are you expecting of me?!...because, as you know, Friday had me up and down all night, flipping and flopping. I think it was the 'virtual' date that went waaay into the night, talking and talking, and talking!!! Sometimes that Friday doesn't know how to shut up!!! LOL

      SO Saturday, since we don't want to have you looking like Friday, I propose that we set a better schedule for you!...after we eat first, I mean. You know I'm no good for 'nothing' until I get my green tea and put some fuel in this lackadaisical engine I call a body! ^_^ It needs a transition period...sorta like butterflies! ^_^ ...

      I don't usually do blogs where I talk about products that I've used...Well, sometimes I talk about it, but not in terms of recommending something!...And let me say right now, I don't represent the companies of the products I'm gonna talk about today. In fact, they have no idea I'm writing this blog!...but I 'HAVE TO' talk about them!

      Before I go there though, let me say: "Ahhhhhhhh!"...I finally got my pork chops for dinner! ^_^ ...

       I've been craving them FOREVER it seems...I don't know why...Well, I know why, but it's not a rocket science answer. I'm a hormonally 'changing' girl now! ^_^ Craving comes with the territory! LOL...

     They were yummy!!!...And the whole kernel corn and home fries made it a 'comfort food' extravaganza!! ^_^ When it all was gone I was full...and happy! :-) And that, my dear people, is the point, isn't it?!...ME...Happy!! LOL

       Moving on! ^_^ ... Something else also made me happy!...and made me, this morning, wake up and go "Ahhhhhhhhh!" It was this...

      It's my new detergent!!! :-) If you've been reading my blog lately, you know that I've been having an 'itching like crazy' issue! Well...my hubby found this new detergent to try, because we were suspicious that the other one that we were using (I won't name it, because that wouldn't be nice!) was what was making me itch ridiculously!!...

      When hubby prowled the aisles of the grocery store and saw this "Arm & Hammer", dermatologist tested for sensitive skin, which was also FREE of perfumes and dyes, he said: "That looks like a contender!" :-)
      He brought it home and did a few loads of laundry...including our sheets and pillow cases... 

      When I got up this morning, realizing that I slept throughout the night without waking up once!...and that I wasn't itching!...*blink, blink*....WOOHOO!!!! I think we have a winner!!! :-) ... Had you seen this detergent before?!...Considering the fact that I'm itch free this morning, and that the sheets were so soft...more than usual!...I'm recommending it, Yall!!!!...HIGHLY!...

      I'm also recommending this!...

    Clorox has something NEW!!!...especially for us sensitive skinned itchy types!! LOL...It's Gentle bleach!! WOOHOO!!!!...

      The description on the bottle says it's gentle on fabrics, powerful enough for tough cleaning!...And it's also FREE & CLEAR of perfumes and dyes!!!! :-) ...
 

      These may be my new best friends now! :-)) ...
 

      Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!...I'm relaxed, clean, and not itching!...*blink, blink*.....Okay, now what should I do?!...Read a book?!...Eat something?!...I know!...Go and get my package ready to ship! :-) Yes!...I sold a boutonniere last night! YAY!!!! Keep 'em coming!!!!! ^_^
