NOPE!...Not Today!

      Hello Y'all! :-) I decided to 'come up for air'...sorta kinda. LOL I've been crocheting my fool head off...and napping mostly. (OF COURSE!! Ha! Ha!) In the crochet department, I'm working on one of the four black scarfs on my custom order list right now!...The list which is getting longer and longer every day now...YAY! ^_^

      I was gonna come over here to the blog today and show you a few 'cuties' I found on Etsy, but...uhhh...NOPE! Not today! :-)) It's gonna take a lot of linking and writing and concentration, and.......today I don't have the ability to do any of that!!...Nothing!...except sitting quiet...and crocheting. :-] Thankfully I already did my studying for the meeting, and have my comment ready to share, or else I'd really be fretting! :-)

       The weather has changed some. We had our first snowfall of the season the other day...such as it was! ^_^ ...

      It was a whole....'dusting'! LOL It fell overnight, and by afternoon the next day it was gone! :-) I can't get too excited about that though....we're due to get some rain, or something, after midnight tonight! Ugh!
      Thanks to hubby's wonderful efforts at promoting my crocheting offline, I've got plenty to get excited about...and to keep me busy looking down at my hands, and not looking out the window! ^_^ Over the last week or so, up to today, I finished and sold a pink scarf...

      Finished a light pink and white scarf...

      The pictures don't do this one justice. It's pretty...and very soft! :-]

      I also finished this 'shades of blue' scarf...
 

      I didn't make this ont to sell though. I made it for my personal care assistant. :-] She's been so sweet and thoughtful that I wanted to make her something to let her know how much I appreciate her. :-]
 

      It's also very soft too!...and has fringe now too! ^_^ I did that as a last minute thing and forgot to take a photo afterward. :-))

      I sold a few scarves this week, and a couple of hats. And I'm working on some custom hats and scarves right now...Well, for this week anyway! ^_^ And...Oh Yeah!...My craft show is 'BACK ON' again! O_O Long story. I'll spare you. :-)) I'll just say...it's gonna be in about 3 weeks!!!! AARGH!!!!!!! LOL.....That's why I haven't been online as much. I'm busy, busy, busy!!! :-]

      I'm even making some toddler hats and scarves!...I just finished this toddler's hat...

      And this is my first attempt at a toddler-sized hat made in the style of my adult ones! ^_^ It's still awaiting a baby head to check it out! LOL Hopefully later today I'll know if it fits...If so, I'll have to get to work on a blue one just like it!...
 

      In other news, there have been no more coyote sightings. Only field-mice sightings. Ugh! They're making a nuisance out of themselves, and we're doing all we can to keep them OUTSIDE! :-)) Mice do not belong INSIDE the house!! LOL
      My mother-in-law is doing well, and so is my dad. Relations with my family are getting better daily...even though stresses in the family are accumulating daily too. SUCH IS LIFE!! ^_^
       Lastly, my book is being read by someone, and so are my poems. ***And my fingernails are being bitten OFF because of it! LOL*** I'll let you know if anything becomes of it!!!...Anyway!...I'll hopefully see you tomorrow with the latest Etsy finds....No Promises though!! Just 'roll with me', will ya! ^_^ And have a good rest of the weekend, Everybody! ♥

      I really love the yarn bag above!!!...I ascribe to it's message too...whole-heartedly!! ^_^ In fact I just finished a purple scarf, and started a custom hat for a neighbor! :-) Nobody puts my crochet hook...or my crochet yarn...or my gnarled up crochet fingers...in a corner!! LOL

      The truth is, I was trying to get a lot of items ready for the craft show that was suppose to take place in December...but yesterday...*sigh*...I was told that it's been cancelled. :-( Something about legalities...blah! blah! blah!...But did that slow me down or stop me from crocheting?!.....Nooooooooo! ^_^

      I have to find some way to get all of this crochet stuff sold though!!! O_O So if you have any suggestions....I'm open!!...H-E-L-P!!! ^_^ Between the 'expired' items, and the ones listed in my wuglyees shop, I have over 450 items that need a new home!! Make me a good offer for all of it and it's yours!! :-)

I Like A Cuppa

I find I like a 'Cuppa' soup
when it's chilly out the door;
And I like a 'Cuppa' tea
every day around four.

And I like a 'Cuppa' coffee...
not a decaf 'Cuppa'...NO!...
any time of day or night
I like my steaming 'Cuppa' Joe!      

Another 'Wide-Eyed' Monday Is Upon Us!

 Howdy! :-] ... Did you have a good weekend?!...Is your Monday going pretty good so far?!...I hope so....Mine certainly is!! ^_^ In fact, I'm having an exceptional Monday so far! I received and processed two sold items from my wuglyees etsy shop, ate a few gifted 'Thin Mints'...YUM! :-) ...and had a fabulous lunch with hubby, provided by a beloved friend, consisting of roasted turkey legs, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, candied yams with marshmallows, and stuffing!!! :-)

      Is it any wonder now why I'm wide-eyed and enjoying my Monday?! ^_^ ... Speaking of 'wide-eyed', as you can see, I also did something else as of this morning...I finished four custom crochet necklaces for a friend of ours! :-) 
      He's giving the crochet owl necklaces to the adult ladies in his family, and a butterfly necklace and a pair of butterfly earrings to his daughter. ♥ 

      He gave me the owls and butterfly dangles and asked me to make some of my pieces out of them. :-) I was given free rein over color choices and so forth. So I tried to pull from the colors of the stones on the owl, in order to make the owl stand out when it's worn.
      I made a lavender flower, a green one, and a black one. :-]
 

      The only direction I was given about the little girl necklace was to make the earrings for a non-pierced ear.
 

     Uhhhhh...I didn't have any clip-on earrings to use! O_O So I  had to order some online. They're suppose to be here in a couple of days. I'll be able to finish the earrings then...
 

      It's been a while since I made any necklaces or earrings, so it was fun to put my creative juices to the task! :-] Hopefully they'll be received well by his ladies! ^_^

      Right now I'm working on a purple scarf with a black thread running alongside the yarn.  It'll be another one of my 'Ugly Wuglyees'. :-)) Not overly soft, but it 'will' keep you warm!.........Unlike the pink and white scarf I just finished (shown below), which is extremely cozy, soft, and warm!!...
 

      I didn't take a picture of it all done.....Uhhhhh....I forgot! LOL But just picture the above scarf with pink and white fringe and you'll have it!! ^_^

      In other news, I'm kinda taking my days as they come. Spending more time offline than on. And doing a lot more crocheting than talking! :-] I think the weather change has something to do with that. It's been really chilly the last few days. I'm wanting to nuzzle in a bit more, and watch old movies, sip hot tea, and crochet! ^_^ So that's what I do!!...except for occasional checks online to see if I sold anything in my shop, or if anybody has sent me a particular message.
      The room arranging, anticipating my mother-in-law's MAYBE moving in soon, is all done! :-) We actually have a nice guest room again, instead of a craft room....and I'm surprisingly okay with that! :-] In fact, the re-arranging has made my crafting products more organized and easy to access!! Who knew that would happen?!...Not me!!
      My mother-in-law is kinda dragging her feet a little now, about whether she actually wants to move ANYWHERE!!! O_O I don't argue with her about it. At her age, she's entitled!! :-) We're just trying to get things ready for what we think will eventually be the inevitable....As I always say, getting older in this world is not for 'sissies'!!
      Okay...another talking spell has come to an end! ^_^ I hope the rest of your Monday is good!...If I have time tomorrow I have a couple of cute Etsy items I wanna share with you....No promises though. I'll just play it by ear, and see where the fingers fly!! ^_^ ♥

Benches

Wooden, with an indent.
Sturdy, aged by the sun.
A place to rest when you are tired.

and cemented to the ground.

and a place to put bags down.

A place for you to catch a bus,
or to feed a hungry squirrel.

about the big news of the world.

Alone and beaten by the weather,
chipping paint, long past brand new.
Almost like some people we know,
who are inconspicuous too.

So reliably unnoticed,
all the benches that we pass.
Sitting there, just waiting for us,
if we 'PLOP!'... run out of gas.

It's A 'Pink' Kind Of Day!

      There's not much going on around here, except that Daylight Savings Time has occurred. And for our area that means that none of the daylight is being saved from occurring earlier than normal around here anymore!! LOL It's getting dark so early in the evening now! Like, around five-ish!! O_O

      All of those lovely pink hues of a late evening sunset...*sigh*...gone! Oh well, I'll just have to find my pink hues in other places!...

      Look at the lovely pink hues on the redpoll bird in the header photo, and on the ballet dancer's tutu in the beautiful watercolor print above. :-] 

      I'm working with some pink hues of my own...scarf-wise. :-] The scarf I was working on yesterday is all done now...

      And I've already started another one! ^_^ This one is gonna be in two shades of pink, and white. And it's superbly soft too!! In fact the baby pink is a kind of fuzzy soft yarn...

 

      I love having soft scarves next to my face and skin in the wintertime. Don't you?!...
 

      The crochet hook I'm using is the new bamboo crochet hook I got in the mail today...size 'P' (17). It's the size of my old wooden crochet hook that I was using as my scarf-making hook...the one I can't find! Grrrr!
      The only thing I don't like about this hook is that the handle isn't long enough for me. I didn't realize it until now, but with my arthritis flaring up from time to time...including today!...having the longer hook was a way of resting the other part of my hand somehow...Don't try to get me to explain it, because I can't!! LOL I don't know how my hands 'work'. I just know how they feel when I crochet the wrong way for any period of time....OUCH!!
      Unless I find my old 'Go To' wooden crochet hook pretty soon, I fear that it might take a bit longer for this 'pink-hued' baby to get finished!...
 

      As with all things I talk about on this blog...I'll keep you posted! ^_^

      By the way, there was no pink in this treasury anywhere, but I still wanna show it to you...

      There's no other news to report. There have been no more coyote sightings. No mother-in-law moving in....YET! And no new dinner concoctions from hubby's kitchen! ^_^ There also have still been no sales in my wuglyees Etsy shop!! Ugh!........A pink grapefruit mimosa sounds good about now!! LOL

Daylight

Daylight, you bring such happiness,

A Nap, Mustard, And All That Kind Of Stuff!

     This duvet cover almost talked to me last night when I saw it! It was saying: "Napping......under water, sorta kinda......YES"! ^_^ 

      What a wonderful way to combine bedding with photography with napping! :-] And I have one out of the three things mastered!...Guess which one! LOL

      If you're looking for a 'cutesy' all pulled together blog post....uhhhh...sorry! :-)) This is not that blog!!...This blog is just a mish-mosh of things that are on my mind to mention, before I forget! ^_^ Unfortunately I've been doing a lot of that lately...forgetting, I mean.

      I haven't been making many of them because I have soooooo many still in my 'expire' section of my shop! :-( I really need to start selling some things or else my whole reason for being online is gonna go away!

      I wouldn't be doing this much talking online if it wasn't for my wuglyees Etsy shop...I don't think. I mean, who wants to hear me going on and on about what I had for breakfast and what animals are in my backyard, without an occasional crochet project or showing off some of my fellow Etsian's shop items?!....Huh?!

      Let's see!....Yesterday I ate a lot of these...

      ...and over the weekend I watched a lot of football...
 

      ...and after the rooms were rearranged, my crochet projects all had a nice place to reside. :-] Even Shequita (my bald head model) had a place to hang out!! ^_^

      Wait a minute! O_O I started talking about crochet stuff, didn't I?!.....So, there you go! I cannot talk without mentioning crocheting!...And a normal 'Wug' day, that would also include  napping, poetry, or music! :-) So, needless to say...I need to get-to-selling some stuff, or else I'm gonna have to change some things!...It's very expensive paying taxes, fees, and buying yarn, when I'm not selling anything!!!

      Oh Yeah...here's one of the 'Ugly Wuglyee' scarves I'm working on right now! ^_^
