Do You Plan Your Time, Or Are You A Spur Of The Moment Kind Of Person?!

      I know it's kind of a deep question for 'Hump Day' (Wednesday), but since I'm a time planner ^_^ I planned it for today!! Also, something came up...again!...this morning between hubby and I, and I thought now would be the time to find out if it's me, or if it's just another one of those cases of "It's not YOU, it's me"! ^_^

       As I tell you what happened I'll share some of the great finds from the Etsy activity feed I found!...

      So here's the story...I'm a planner. Wait! I already told you that! LOL...But what I didn't tell you is that my constantly planning and checking to make sure all of my 'ducks are in a row' sometimes drives my husband crazy!!...You see, he's a 'spur of the moment'...I'm talking sometimes LAST MOMENT! UGH!...kind of person. O_O

      I can't tell you how many arguments...Well, maybe argument is too strong of a word...struggles...butting of heads...disagreements...fracases...blow-outs...Okay, I guess arguments does work! ^_^ ...we've had about his timing. Or lack thereof, in my opinion! Grrrr!

      This morning it happened again!...I was getting my schedule set for today's activities, writing my list of 'To Dos', when he interrupted my train of thought to tell me he was leaving early. O_O 

      "What?!...Wait! I need to coordinate some plans with you for later before you leave! O_O And I need you to get some things out of the back room for me!...And there's some things we need to do together that I can't do by myself, and now I'll have to wait on you before I can start them! Ugh! O_O" ... His reaction...as usual:

     "Awww...you can wait a little while, right?!...I have to do something for the boss earlier than usual, and I have to go now!!" ... ME: "Why didn't you give me a 'heads up'?!"...HIM: "I didn't think it would matter."...*steam rising from my head*...I better show you some of my latest crochet pins NOW!!! LOL...

      Is it a man/woman thing?! Or just a me and my hubby thing?! ^_^ ... I HATE getting things dropped on me at the last minute!! HATE it!!...H-A-T-E!!!! Grrr! And when I make a point of the fact that all he has to do is give me a 'heads up' and I would be fine. He says: "No you wouldn't!!"...I say: "How do you know?! I never get the chance to find out. Stuff keeps getting dropped on me at the last minute!!!" LOL

      I think it's simple courtesy to say: "Hey, Babe...tomorrow morning I have to leave a little earlier than usual."...Obviously my planning ahead for things is not his idea of a great thing to do!! ^_^

      Don't get me wrong, I think spontaneity has it's place! You know, like when he plans a special 'virtual date night', or he brings me an unexpected gift, or when we plan to do something nice for someone else at the last minute!...But, as a general rule, that 'last minute' thing drives me crazy!!!!!

      I don't like to find out that he wants to go out and fix the car at the same time that I thought we were flipping the bedroom mattress, or doing the grocery list, or folding the clothes!...Could I do those things alone?!...Yes!...But when you have it in your mind that you are doing those things 'with' someone, it's really aggravating to find out 'at the last minute' that you're doing them alone!!...especially when, like I do!, you give your husband a 'heads up' the day before, to let him know what you plan to do the next day...and he agrees!!!...but then the next day....HE FORGETS!!!...and says: "Oh Well...you can do it without me though, right?" Grrrr!

       Suffice it to say...as I just did! LOL...I do not like last minute, spur of the moment, plans dropped on me! ^_^ Now if only I could get my husband to think this is as big of a deal as I just alluded to! LOL

      Rant Over!! LOL...I'm still working on my 'To Do' list for today and I have to do my hair now. :-) {I didn't get the hair cream I needed until late yesterday so that I could do it. So, 'Do Hair' went on the list for today instead. :-)) ...Hubby forgot to pick it up from the store! LOL He had forgotten to get vinegar for me the day before that, and vinegar was the only thing on his mind when he went into the store yesterday...not hair cream! Hair cream required a 'last minute' run! ^_^}

      I give him a hard time, but the truth is he has a lot on his plate right now. His job, me, his mom, me, cooking, me! LOL I'm gonna try to ease up a bit on my expectations...while trying to gently get it through his head that I HATE last minute, spur of the minute, things dropped on me!!!!! LOL...Do I need coffee?! ^_^

      I finally did it!!...I started a crochet project that doesn't have anything to do with lapel pins, brooches, boutonnieres, or crochet flowers! :-) And it's not a custom order project either! I just started it...well...just because! :-)

      I just had to share him!! ♥ He looks to be about the right age for someone to fall in love with tennis! ^_^ Of course I was older than this!...but we're not gonna talk about age today! LOL We're gonna talk about babies, and baby blankets! :-)

      It was a baby blanket that caught my attention when I was looking around for a new crochet project. In particular...THIS crochet blanket (below)!...

      I found the pattern in one of my old 1999 booklets. I love that the pattern looks like inter-connected hearts all in rows! :-) And the ribbon all the way around is such a sweet touch, I think!
      Of course...me being me!...I couldn't possibly just make the pattern as it appears in the book!...Noooooooooo! :-)) I'm making it with mint green yarn!...And I may put a different color on the perimeter. We'll see! :-] But this is how far I am so far!...
 

      I love the way the front posts around the stitches do look like little hearts! :-) ...

      I've actually done a couple more rows since I took the pictures above. It's looking really pretty! But I can tell it's gonna be another long project, because it takes quite a while to do the 'heart' rows!!...As a matter of fact, the rows taking so long reminded me of another baby blanket that I haven't seen in a while...Oops! O_O ...Remember the rainbow blanket?!!!

      YIKES!...I haven't picked up that blanket in....in...forever!! ^_^ I guess if I'm gonna work on this mint green blanket...I might as well pull the rainbow one out and finish it too!!...I'll keep you up on their doings as they go...if they go!...I mean, 'WHEN' they go!! LOL
      I hate leaving unfinished projects undone!!...As a matter of fact, I have a few of my girlfriend's blankets to finish too!...my friend that died recently. She left me a few of her blankets and things that needed finishing. I guess I'll focus on getting them done and in someone's hands who can appreciate them! :-]

      What a beautiful day it is!! :-) I know I keep talking about the weather, but give me a break, okay! Think about what kind of winter we've had! UGH!!! It feels good to look out the window and see something besides piles of 'white stuff', hail balls, strong winds, pouring rain, and locusts!...Okay. We didn't get locusts. LOL But if the winter had lasted any longer I'm almost sure locusts were the next thing on the list!! ^_^

      Did I say 'list'?! ^_^ Well, yes I did!!...On such a beautiful day what else would I be doing besides working a 'too long' To-Do' list?!! O_O

       ... I mean, the backyard lawn is all green and lush. The robins are hopping around all over the yard...and so is a huge bunny rabbit!! :-] I'm not kidding!! I don't know where he came from!! :-)

      Kids are running through the backyard, playing 'Tag'...or some game where they're trying to catch each other while dodging behind trees and laughing hysterically!! ^_^ ...

      It's good to hear some laughter around here! It's been a rough few months!! O_O 

      And over the last few weeks or so I've been dragging like crazy!!...not crocheting much...out of energy...and sleeping,...excuse me, napping! ^_^ But today I feel full of energy...sorta, kinda. {I'm sure it's gonna run out with a massive thud in about an hour or so! LOL} That's why I decided to take this Monday to start getting my 'To Do' things DONE!! :-]

      I actually wrote today's list of things down on paper so I could check them off as I got them done!...wishful thinking. :-)) So far, out of the twelve things on my list, seven of them are 'kaput!' ^_^ I tried to leave the best things for last...NOT!! LOL Of course it's the time-consuming, aggravating, HARD things to do, that are left!...Flip the bed-top memory foam mattress pad...comb hair {don't laugh!!...combing my hair is not an easy job! It's down my back, thick, and curly. The kind of hair that once you comb it out...you need to comb it out again to make sure it's combed out!! UGH!}

      Then I have to do my exercises...including all of the new ones the physical therapist wants me to do, with weights! UGH!...and start a new crochet project that's not a lapel brooch or boutonniere! :-) I'm crocheting a mint green baby blanket!...Probably not as cute as the one below :-) ...

      I've been looking through my crochet books to find something to sink my teeth...crochet-wise...into. I figure a baby blanket is a good way to go, especially since there's always 'somebody' having a baby! :-) ... NOT ME!!...but somebody! ^_^ I'll keep you posted on how it's going....That is, if I actually get 'to-do' it...or rather, start it, today. :-)

      It's just a beautiful day today...so far, that is! :-] As DUDADAZE cross stitch says: 'The sun is up. The sky is blue...' And considering what my day was like yesterday...I'll take it!! It was...hmmm...how shall I say?....interesting!

      I was gonna try to give you the play-by-play of yesterday's activities, but when I was trying to figure out how to write it I realized that if I told it as it happened I'd have to give you details that might hurt someone's feelings. So...I won't get into it. Just trust me when I say: 'It was interesting.' And let's leave it at that!

      Instead of 're-hashing' yesterday, let's talk about what I'm going to do today...'Virtual Friday' Date Day! :-) Hubby has today off from work. YAY!! It's gonna be a nice long weekend...with NO STRESS!....I hope, I hope, I hope!!

      We're gonna just relax and smell the roses!...provided we can find some growing somewhere!...

      It's been an interesting day. It started out with snow on the ground and a temperature of 29 degrees!...Now, all of the snow has disappeared from the yard, and the green grass looks as though there never was snow there in the first place! O_O

      So, just on the chance that winter has decided that it's not ready to go yet, I thought I'd share a few 'cover-ups'! :-) First, some cover ups for your hands!...Some fingerless gloves that have 'gone-to-the-dogs'! ^_^ ...

      I always say how impressed I am at the talented people on Etsy, but gloves where you can personalize your doggie onto them?!...WOW! :-) You can wear them when you go out to walk the dog, make some 'Woof! Woof!' noises, and totally confuse the dog altogether!! LOL

      Frankly, I don't want to give winter that much attention!! ^_^ I'm gonna pretend it never snowed, and that tomorrow I'll be able to put on a bikini and go to the beach!.....Bahahahahahahaaahha!! ^_^ ...Now you know the weather is driving me crazy!! ME...in a bikini?! O_O ...Bahahahahahahaahahahahaha!!!...Wait!...Did I just see a pig fly?!! LOL

     I've crocheted outfits before!...jackets, 2-piece skirt sets, blouses, etc... My problem was always the linings. I HATE putting linings into anything!!...YUCK! O_O Thankfully I have good friends who are great at putting linings into stuff! :-) They've even lined a few pocketbooks for me over the years! ♥

      Would you wear a crocheted dress?!...Don't answer too fast! I may make one soon and ask you to wear, and photograph yourself in it, for me! ^_^ ... I've been looking for something else to sink my crochet 'teeth' into for a while. A crocheted dress...a toilet tissue holder doll dress...a fancy shoulder shawl...or a few baby blankets?! They're all on my 'Maybe' list....Which one do you think it should be?...Or do you have another suggestion?!

       I was gonna show you some of the new flower boutonnieres I finished lately, but my camera batteries died on me...and uhhhh...when I went to put new batteries in the camera....Uhhhh...I found out that I don't have any more batteries! O_O Well...not yet anyway! Hubby is bringing me some home this afternoon!!...So stay tuned! ^_^

     

     Okay, one last thing to talk about today. My physical therapy exercises. :-) I've been such a good girl that my physical therapist wants me to add some more exercises to my repertoire! O_O 'Blink! Blink!'...Uhhhh...maybe I've been TOO GOOD of a girl!! LOL

      Not only have I exercised myself into more exercises, but she also wants me to add 2-pound weights!!!! O_O Oh Boy!...So much for doing as I'm told, right?! Ha! Ha!...Oh well, at least there will be some benefit for me in the end...Not like the time when I was younger, and was picking peas all day...only to end up almost bit by a snake, and stung by a swarm of bees!! LOL It's a long story...I'll spare you...THIS TIME!! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day, Everybody!! ♥

Dress And Feel Better

When I'm feeling bad,
