Let's Get Back To Our Normal Schedule!

       I hope you all had nice weekends!...I did! It was a very accomplished weekend...even though I missed there being no tennis on the middle Sunday at Wimbledon. :-] Thankfully I had the Tour De France though! ^_^ Today everything is back to normal...sports-wise. It's stage 2 of the Tour De France, and the round of 16 at Wimbledon...the round where everybody, male and female, plays! :-) Let the T.V. watching begin!! LOL

      {By the way, the above photo is of my vintage "OLD" orange...(Bakelite, I think)...T.V. It's not the $250 one..."Thanks Again, Leigh Keno"...but I'm pretty sure it has some kind of value also. It may require another email to the Keno brothers to find out! ^_^

      It's time to get back to normal!...barring a change in my sleeping patterns. I wouldn't mind a bit if they become abnormal. The normal routine is driving me a little bit crazy! Grrr!...Anyway! I've got a few cute finds to share with you tomorrow....and a question about a button.
        And today, I wanna show you the finished custom wedding boutonniere set! :-)

       These are the 7 groomsmen boutonnieres...

     And even though I don't think I ever would've chosen them to put together myself, the  combination of the autumn red and the persimmon are kinda growing on me! :-) I even like the sewn on pin bar in the back!...And, of course, I love the translucent button with the silver all around! ^_^ ....In case you don't know it...I'm a button nut! ^_^

     The boutonniere for the groom is still awaiting approval. We had a bit of an issue finding one of the shades he wanted. This is the one we finally decided on...

      It's a dark purple in the center, and 'Passion' purple on the outside petals. He wanted it completely different from his groomsmen...with a different button also....What do you think?!

      I hope it's a successful endeavor! O_O

      If not, it'll be back to the drawing board until I get it right!...crocheting like a mad woman....like normal! ^_^

       Speaking of normal, I'm still fretting about what to get hubby for our anniversary, which is......Uhhhh...not our first, but our 30th! And it's Uhhhh...

     ....THIS MONTH!!!...*gulp!* :-0 I've got about 4 weeks to figure it out!!...HELP Y'all!!! {By the way, the desktop calendar above is a gift from Bonnie, on the  going home to roost blog! Just go over to her blog and download it in your size --> HERE.}

       Have a good day everybody!....a normal one! :-)

Oh Yeah!.....I Almost Forgot......Giveaway!

       Okay folks, you can relax today! There's no spiders, no bears, no softball size hail....do you believe people got that in some areas yesterday?!!...or nothing like that in today's post! LOL Today it's all about flowers!! :-) I absolutely love this beautiful flower in the header photo! I don't know who took it though, so if you know, please 'give a girl a clue'. {That includes for the next photo below too. I like to give credit to people for their work whenever I can.}
     Okay, the reason today's post is all about flowers is for two reasons. One, because I'm finally off of 'spider watch'!! I no longer have that big monster spider loose in my house, I've closed off all bathroom drains...*Teehee*...and I refuse to Google to find out how long spiders incubate in a spider sac before they're born! Enough is enough! LOL So, I need something else to do with myself besides sitting and watching!
      I did finish my book (To Kill A Mockingbird). And today I also have lots of letter writing to do, and lots of phone calls to make. But, before I get to that, I have to take care of some unfinished business. I almost forgot that I didn't post what May 1st's Giveaway would be!!...*smh*...All that spider nonsense totally took me 'off my game'! ^_^
    I decided that because I have so many necklaces...crochet flower necklaces...that I've never listed, I'd make the Giveaway for May 1st one of those necklaces! And since I know what "I" like, but I don't know what "YOU" like, I decided that the winner should be able to choose which one of the necklaces they want!! :-)
    Before I show you what your choices will be, let me encourage you all to PLEASE not forget to "Follow" and put "Enter Me" in your comments below! Last month I only had 4 entries for my blanket! {I refuse to believe that it was because you didn't want my warm, ugly blanket to come live at your house!! LOL}  So, click "Follow", if you aren't already a follower, and put "Enter Me" somewhere in your comment below. One entry per day.
    Okay, these are the necklaces you'll have to choose from. They're all bold statement pieces, and they all hang from a 17 or 18 inch (43.2 or 45.7cm) gun metal chain or real leather cord...There's this dragonfly and silver metal dangle flower necklace, on a leather cord....
       ...This purple crochet flower danglenecklace, with a metal dangle that holds a purple glass stone. {And by the way, my camera made this crochet flower look like it had more blue tones, but the crochet thread was more the shade of the glass stone in the dangle...just so you know. More of a grape shade.}
       ...Then there's this red, black, and white one, with a pearl-like button, a leather cord, and a glass black and white heart hanging below it.
      ...Next is this peachy-pink one. The button is plastic and the large dangle is glass.
      ...Then this 2-tone blue one. It's a smaller one. It has a clear, plastic button that's shaped like a flower, and a very eye-catching glass dangle hanging below it.
      ...Or how about this smaller one. It has turquoise and green colors, with a glass heart dangle.
      ...Almost done! :-))...There's a pink and white smaller one, with a ribbon necklace, a glass pink and white heart dangle, a gold and white center button, and a little metal heart with "Love" written on it.
     ...This pretty red one, with a longer dangle that has all kinds of interesting beadwork, and a pretty interesting button in the middle too!...
      ...and last, this bold purple, blue, and black one. It has a black center button, and a black and blue cameo-type dangle below it.
      Okay, all done! :-) I'm going to link this post in the right side bar that talks all about my Giveaways, so you can come back here and review if you win it!...The necklaces that are left over will be offered to all of my blog followers for a very reduced price...very reduced...for a short time after the Giveaway. I'm doing that as a thank you to all of you for your constant support and making me feel welcome to blogland this year.
     Yep! William and Katherine and I have something in common....April 29th is their special wedding day, and my special Anniversary! Not my wedding Anniversary though...although YIKES! that's coming fast too!!!...No, it's the Anniversary of my very first blog entry!! :-)I can hardly believe it's almost been a year!!...Got any ideas about what I should do for THAT Anniversary?!!

The "Get No Sleep" Monster is Plastic!

   Before I tell you about the situation with my 'sleep monster' last night, let me thank grimmandgrete of Etsy for putting my "Purse Sueded Hand Bag" ...
      ...in her "Summer-It Ain't Over 'til It's Over" Treasury! And please take the time to check out her shop too! She has the most beautiful jewelry in her shop! This is just one piece:
     It's  a "Ginger. Green Czech Glass. Sunflower Necklace". Isn't it gorgeous?! Wait until you see the other pieces!!
    I've been doing pretty good in the treasury department lately! I'm hoping all of this exposure will turn into some sales soon. One sale in over a month (which I got this weekend) is not a whole lot!!...Anyway, these are the other shops sharing this treasury with me:

    Okay, back to my 'Sleep Monster' story. I was very tired last night, so I decided to go to bed early. (Plus I knew that today was the start of the first round play of the U.S. Open Tennis matches!! The earlier I went to bed, the earlier I could be up and geting ready to watch!! LOL)
    I put the TV channel on the sports highlights, turned it down real low, and set the TV timer to go off in about an hour (by that time I figured I'd be sound asleep!). Zzzzzzz...HUH?! What was that noise?!...I looked around didn't see anything. Drifted back off........*swishy swishy!!!*....HUH?! Up I popped again!...This went on...NO KIDDING...about 4 times before I was in such an alert panic and couldn't go back to sleep that I woke up hubby and asked him to do some investigating! I was sure someone was trying to get in the house or something, because I was sure I saw a light coming from the other room too!!! (The mind plays some terrible tricks on you when you're tired!)
   He wasn't in his most attractive detective gear...
   ...His Batman mask wasn't even on! Ha! Ha! (I don't think he knew this mask was still on his head.) If there had been someone in the house hiding, this view coming around the corner might have made them giggle and give themselves away! That's what I did...when I looked up from my C-Pap mask!! He was giggling at me and I was giggling at him!
    He was giggling because he figured out who the culprit was that was making all of the noise...
    ...It was my trash can (which is a basket with a trash bag over it)! Apparently my fan was blowing the bag up and down through the side holes every once in a while. UGH!
   SOME 'Sleep Monster'!!! And hubby was giggling about this because he and I have had arguments lately about his attempts at lowering our grocery bill by buying reduced price items...and THESE GARBAGE BAGS were one of his buys!!!! They are too thin, don't fit the trash can, and make noise when air hits them in the middle of the night!!! OUT THEY GO!!!! Grrrrrrr! Can a hormonal woman get some sleep around here?!!
   His solution, for the time being, was this...
    ...He threw the heavy phone book in the trash can to weight it down...Ahhhhhhh! Quiet....Zzzzzz....Huh?! Oh,....it's just my C-Pap machine. ^_^ I hope you all slept well!
    (In honor of Joanna and Alex's one year wedding anniversary, (of the blog "A Cup Of Jo") I'll share my poem today that I wrote about that same subject. Happy Anniversary Jo and Alex!!! Happy Dance for you!)
