FINALLY!...A Snow-less, Easy-Peasy, Good News Day!!

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?ref=shopsection_shophome_leftnav
(wuglyees crochet items)

I'm happy to report that I had nothing...much...to complain about all day today! ^_^ How often can you say that?!!...There was no falling snow, no angry phone conversations with telemarketers, and no nap interruptions. ^_^

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?ref=shopsection_shophome_leftnav

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?ref=shopsection_shophome_leftnav

There 'was' a lot of mail though!...'snail-mail' they call it. :-) Well, I don't care what speed it took it to get here! I'm just glad it did!! ^_^ I found out that we're gonna get some fuel assistance cash...YAY!!...That I finally have a new doctor...YAY!! (my former doctor changed his insurance carriers, and mine was not in there! O_O)
I've been fretting and searching, hunting and looking, for a new doctor...especially because I didn't want there to be an interruption in having my personal assistant come to the house every day!! I rely on her, and don't know how frazzled hubby and I would be without the support!
There was other letters carrying other good news too, but nothing you would care about. ^_^ It was just good news for us!

The day went by so fast and easy that I was even able to get enough quiet time, light, and slowed down brain cells, in here to make a couple of my dark royal blue suit pins! :-)

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?section_id=6068008&ref=shopsection_leftnav_7

I put a different backing on each of them in case I get some finicky customers. ^_^

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?section_id=6070914&ref=shopsection_leftnav_8

I even had time to look around on etsy! :-) I saw some flowered items...of course! ^_^ ...

You'll have to forgive me for the slow subject matter lately, but there's really not much going on around here! And I'm not mad at it! :-)) The quieter and easy-peasy it is, the better I like it!! I don't wanna turn over any "Uh Oh!" rocks!...NO!! ^_^ I'm just gonna keep my lap covered....*the temperatures are still ridiculous!!*...listen to some Motown, and have a bowl of soup, or something equally as warm and yummy! ^_^
Maybe tomorrow I'll find something fascinating, or at least interesting, to talk about. And if not.....you know I'll still be talking anyway!! LOL Have a good rest of the day, Everybody! ♥

Head High, Little Girl

Keep head high, little girl.
And your heart as an open book.
Think good thoughts of who you are,
so other girls can take a look.

Your self esteem, little girl,
should be pumped up wherever you can.
But shouldn't depend on prettiness,
or the sugary words of a man.

Your self esteem needs to be balanced.
Not arrogant or smug at it's core.
For the sun does not rise and set on you,
but nor is garbage dumped at your door.

So keep head high, little girl.
And your heart as an open book.
Your self esteem will then be lifted,
and the whole world will take a look.

I Am 'SUCH' A Georgia Southern Girl!!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/165500486/southern-girl-flip-flop-cowgirl-hat?ref=favs_view_1

Before I start this conversation, let me say...for the record...that I haven't done any research market studies or gallop polls to come up with what I'm about to say! It's just me!...talking about my own observations...of me! ^_^ ... *By the way, what market are people standing in, giving answers to people's questions?!...And why are they called 'gallop' polls?! O_O Are people on horses galloping along while they ask other people questions?!...Just wondering, like us southern girls do!! ^_^*
Hubby and I were having one of our conversations this morning, after reading an article in the 'Watchtower' magazine. The article was entitled 'Can you see the invisible God?'...(You can go over to jw (dot) org and read the article yourself if you like HERE.)...The article itself was great, but it got us off on another subject altogether...about perception. How other people perceive you...and how you perceive yourself!
I won't talk about how hubby perceives himself...which is another very interesting post that maybe he'll do himself one day! :-) But I realized during our conversation that even though I've lived in the north...Connecticut, Massachusetts...for YEARS!...I still perceive myself as a southern girl! O_O

https://www.etsy.com/listing/165500486/southern-girl-flip-flop-cowgirl-hat?ref=favs_view_1

Not literally, but perceptively, I don't consider myself as being like 'these' northerners!...even though, technically, I am a northerner. And I have been for at least 40 years or more!! O_O Isn't that funny?!...I don't identify with the place I live! I identify with the place I was born!!...Perceptively, I'm a southern girl!!!
I guess I should be more specific though, because there are different kinds of southern girls!...I'm not a Louisiana southern girl...Or a Texas southern girl...Or even a Virginia southern girl! I'm a Georgia southern girl!! :-) The kind of girl that prefers bare feet to shoes, and if I HAVE to wear shoes...except for dress up occasions...let it be flip flops!!!...so the toes can curl up when I laugh!! ^_^
I'm the kind of Georgia southern girl that can totally appreciate a tree-lined sunset, the sound of frogs in the woods, and big porches!! :-) Not to mention cold watermelon, fried catfish, and biscuits and gravy! ^_^ ...

https://www.etsy.com/listing/110999898/kitchen-towel-biscuits-and-gravy-dish?ref=favs_view_3

I'm also the kind of girl that loves well-mannered children...and adults for that matter!...honest and open conversation...no lies included!...and good music!! :-) And by good music I mean music that makes you learn something, cry, or wanna boogie with a group of people!! LOL...

https://www.etsy.com/listing/105468657/tea-towel-ive-choreographed-a-special?ref=favs_view_4
https://www.etsy.com/listing/105468657/tea-towel-ive-choreographed-a-special?ref=favs_view_4

As a Georgia southern girl...sorta, kinda...I realize the value of friends, measure the value of relatives when they show themselves as friends, never shy away from a problem...mine or someone else's!...and never see a single person that I don't think I can learn something from! :-)
No!...this doesn't mean that I think southerners are better than northerners!!...I just have a slight problem understanding the thinking process of northerners sometimes. Here's a few 'for instances':
-- My northern friends shift their clothes in and out of their closets for certain seasons! O_O Uhhhh...to this southern girl, clothes are clothes!! ^_^ Certain days are cooler. Other days are warmer. Just grab whatever you need to wear and move on!! Why does your closet have to be reorganized?! O_O It seems to me that all of that clothes shifting only leads to complaining that you don't have the right thing out to wear when the summer days turn colder, or the winter days turn warmer?!...Leave the clothes in the closet and pull out what you need!!!! LOL

-- The same would apply to food!!...Why do my northern friends consider certain foods as summer food, and other food as winter or Fall food?! O_O Your stomach doesn't know what season it is!! ^_^ And why can't I eat squash or potato soup in the summer, and eat watermelon or corn on the cob in the winter?!...Stores freeze and import everything nowadays!! LOL

-- Speaking of food, what is it with northerners and their fascination with summer grilling?! O_O They talk about grilling as if it's another season they're waiting for!! LOL...This southern girl's memories of grilling had to do with there being no more wood to light the fire with for the stove...to cook!! LOL So grilling was a 'necessity', not a thrill!! LOL...And I might add, I wasn't fond of that smokey taste, or the fact that half of the food would be over-done, while other parts were not done at all!! Ugh!

-- Also, this southern girl loves color, and patterns, and trying something new...just because!! ^_^ My northern friends seem to want to be as plain as possible! Black...tan...beige...non-noticeable. O_O I want to be SEEN...and conversed with about it!! LOL

-- When I see someone coming toward me, I wonder what they're about to ask me, and how the conversation will go...so I smile! ^_^ ... My northern friends seem to wanna avoid eye contact...AT ALL COSTS!!!...They seem to be thinking that everybody that approaches them must want something from them, or else they're up to no good!...Maybe they are, but I'd rather not assume that 'right-off-the-bat' about EVERYBODY!!! LOL

-- Lastly, my northern friends are always correcting my speech, or wondering 'what do you mean' when I say certain things. Hmmm...maybe it's me, but why not try to take people as you find them, and not be so concerned with other people being perfect in an imperfect world! Perfect will come later! ^_^ Right now, enjoy my silly wording of things, and my sometimes crazy observations, and let me be me....ME!...and loved by YOU, just the way I am!! That's how I'm trying to learn to love you after all!!...Okay?! ^_^

Georgia Southern girl...in a northern world...OUT!! LOL And have a good day now, ya hear! ♥

All I Have To Talk About Today Is Candy And Flowers!

You're gonna have to forgive me for this blog post today, Y'all!...Seriously!...I'm talking REAL SERIOUS forgiveness!! LOL...especially for those of you who haven't had your dinner yet, or who've had  your dinner, but didn't have any dessert! ^_^ Because there are lots of candy pictures in this post!...Sorry. O_O
But I thought of YOU Blog Readers as soon as I saw the salt water taffy! ^_^ ...

Well, 'YOU' in the 'I-have-to-blog-about-this' sense! LOL Yes, I know, it's kinda funny to have real live good-smelling taffy sitting right in front of my nose, and to be thinking of YOU!... Go ahead and laugh! ^_^ But, truth be told, I'm kinda proud of myself that when I saw the taffy I didn't think: "EAT IT!!!"...I just thought: "Oooooo! Blog-worthy!" ^_^

And I thought that even though I haven't had salt water taffy in a long, long time! :-) Honestly, I wouldn't have the taffy now if one of hubby's clients didn't think that my hubby was really nice. :-) She gave it to him today as a gift, all wrapped up and tied with a ribbon and everything!...When he came home and handed it to me I thought "I" was the one that had been thought of, and was getting a gift. O_O Foiled again!!...A first-hand gift, with no occasion attached?!....nooooooo! LOL I got a second-hand gift with no occasion attached!! ^_^ Well, guess what?!...I still love it!! ♥
The only thing missing was flowers!! :-)) And since hubby wasn't carrying any flowers today...*Teehee*...{I'm SURE...especially after mentioning it on this blog... ^_^...that I'm gonna be getting some flowers soon though!!...Besides, our anniversary is coming up next month! ^_^}... I found some fabulous flowers from some great shops on Etsy to share! :-) ...

I suppose I should get outta here while the getting is good, right?! ^_^ ... But first, let me share a few of my Wuglyees shop flowers too! :-) I listed these back in the shop today!...

"M" Is For Monday!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/162526476/cute-vintage-baby-illustration-vintage?ref=favs_view_2

Yes, people, it indeed...again!...is Monday! :-)) Soooo...how ya feeling about yourself this Monday?!...Are you raring to go?!...Exhausted from a long weekend?!...Is your mind blank and you're on the hunt for coffee?! ^_^
Well, here's a few fun facts about Monday that I found on THIS site:

-- Most people do not smile on Monday until 11.16 am.

-- 50% of workers on Monday are late for work.

-- Monday is the best day to buy a car, as the majority of sales are made on weekend and sellers expect less successful sale on the day, and as a result - more willing to make discounts.

-- Monday is the least rainy weekday.

That last fact, about the rain, is unfortunately 'not' true here in Holyoke today! It's Monday...and it's gonna rain!...Grrr!...Actually it's raining already....and it's gonna rain some more!...and rain...and rain!! O_O So much for fun Monday facts!! LOL

Moving on!..."M" is for MISSED!...I have missed crocheting baby clothes!! :-) I didn't realize how much until I started working on my latest baby sweater project...

Forgive the photos, please. As I mentioned, it's raining. And as the rain goes...so goes the darkness! Therefore I didn't have enough window light streaming in to take decent pictures...but I think you get the gist, right?! ^_^ ...

I've already crocheted the lower part of the bodice, and the two sleeves! :-) After a little studying and some breakfast I'll be right back at it today! :-) "M" is for MORE stuff to do too!! LOL I guess I better crawl away from this screen and get it started! ^_^

Just A Short Thursday Story!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/119850074/peacock-watercolor-illustration-print?ref=favs_view_7

Good Morning, Y'all!...Well, Good Morning to those of you who are having morning, I mean! ^_^ I know that some of you are getting ready to start your evening meal, while others are enjoying the afternoon sunshine! ^_^ So, no 'Good Morning' to you!! LOL Good Evening...or Good Day! :-))
Maybe that's what my problem is this morning...I need some sunshine!...because I'm in a weird mood. O_O I had some funny conversations with the relatives yesterday. Not 'funny...Ha! Ha!'...but 'funny...hmmm?'
Conversations where you walk away, or pull your ear away...from the phone ^_^...thinking: "What are they thinking?!!!!" O_O I wish I could talk to you about the details, but that would be too much information for a casual, run my mouth, kinda blog post! It would have been telling a story about things that just as well need to be locked in a book...with the key thrown away!! LOL...

https://www.etsy.com/listing/59924709/custom-hollow-book-jewelry-box-secret?ref=favs_view_5

https://www.etsy.com/listing/159694823/custom-hollow-book-jewelry-box-made-from?ref=favs_view_4
Of course, if you have things that you want hidden, but later wanna find, check out the hollow book jewelry boxes above!...They look so cool! :-)

What I'm finding in conversations with people lately, is that I'm expecting too much out of them. And when they don't behave in the way I think they should...unselfishly, caring, empathetically...I get 'so' disappointed. I mean, I just want the people I love, to be loving! Is that such a bad thing?! O.O
On a good note, maybe my congregation and my husband are doing so well at this that it's putting an expectation in my mind that not everyone can fulfill! :-] But, of course, they answer to a higher authority...who also requires a lot out of them in terms of unselfish love, integrity, and faith....Oh, if only everybody had the same standard!!
Before I go on with this any further, I guess I should also mention that I'm aware that maybe my relatives have an expectation of what 'they' think 'I' should be doing too!...In my opinion it's not realistic! LOL But whatever!!! ^_^ I'll do me!....You do you!!...I happily have a higher authority to answer to! :-) He knows my WHOLE story! :-)
Have a good day, everybody!...Don't worry, Be Happy!...The End! :-)

'Wobbly Wibbly' Toddler Girl Found A New Friend!

      Have you ever heard the expression 'Experience Is The Best Teacher'?...Well, I can tell you that my little neighbor girl, the little toddler, 'Wobbly Wibbly' as I affectionately call her now, is getting lots of experience on how to get what she wants! :-) ... {If you don't know the story about 'Wobbly Wibbly you can read the back story HERE. ^_^}
When we saw her wobble into the backyard yesterday...well, first we saw a huge colored ball come across the lawn...we noticed that she wasn't holding anyone's hand this time...although grandma 'was' following close behind. :-) But also following close behind was a little boy!

'Wobbly Wibbly' and the little blonde-haired boy were giggling and playing away, with big colored balls flying all over the place! ^_^ But in typical fashion, 'Wobbly Wibbly' headed for the edge of the woods!...But, sorry 'Wobbly', there's no more flowers to pick up there! You picked them all, and they didn't grow back this time.

'Little One' didn't seem that disappointed. Maybe it was because her little friend was distracting her, or maybe it was the fact that they had the balls to play with and run after!...

I watched for a while...there's something sweet about little kids playing in the yard in the sunshine. :-) Then I went back to what I was doing...A little later I looked out in the backyard again...

...and noticed that the kids and grandma were still in the backyard playing!...Some more time passed...Then I looked, and what did I see?!...The little blond-haired boy was carrying a fist full of purple flowers! O_O Where did he get those from?!...They must have been growing down at the other end of the backyard!
Uhhhhh...where were the balls they were playing with?! O_O And then....here comes 'Wobbly Wibbly'...with a fist full of purple flowers too!!!...*sigh*...'Wobbly Wibbly struck again! LOL I stopped looking!...Go Ahead, Enjoy!!!! :-) ...
I've learned something from watching 'Wobbly Wibbly'...that self-esteem and positivity, knowing what you want and how to go and get it, starts developing when you're really young. I can see that she's gonna be just fine! ^_^ ...But the flowers, WATCH OUT!!!!! ^_^ This all reminded me of the lyrics to a 'Peter, Paul, and Mary' song!
