NOPE!...Not Today!

      Hello Y'all! :-) I decided to 'come up for air'...sorta kinda. LOL I've been crocheting my fool head off...and napping mostly. (OF COURSE!! Ha! Ha!) In the crochet department, I'm working on one of the four black scarfs on my custom order list right now!...The list which is getting longer and longer every day now...YAY! ^_^

      I was gonna come over here to the blog today and show you a few 'cuties' I found on Etsy, but...uhhh...NOPE! Not today! :-)) It's gonna take a lot of linking and writing and concentration, and.......today I don't have the ability to do any of that!!...Nothing!...except sitting quiet...and crocheting. :-] Thankfully I already did my studying for the meeting, and have my comment ready to share, or else I'd really be fretting! :-)

       The weather has changed some. We had our first snowfall of the season the other day...such as it was! ^_^ ...

      It was a whole....'dusting'! LOL It fell overnight, and by afternoon the next day it was gone! :-) I can't get too excited about that though....we're due to get some rain, or something, after midnight tonight! Ugh!
      Thanks to hubby's wonderful efforts at promoting my crocheting offline, I've got plenty to get excited about...and to keep me busy looking down at my hands, and not looking out the window! ^_^ Over the last week or so, up to today, I finished and sold a pink scarf...

      Finished a light pink and white scarf...

      The pictures don't do this one justice. It's pretty...and very soft! :-]

      I also finished this 'shades of blue' scarf...
 

      I didn't make this ont to sell though. I made it for my personal care assistant. :-] She's been so sweet and thoughtful that I wanted to make her something to let her know how much I appreciate her. :-]
 

      It's also very soft too!...and has fringe now too! ^_^ I did that as a last minute thing and forgot to take a photo afterward. :-))

      I sold a few scarves this week, and a couple of hats. And I'm working on some custom hats and scarves right now...Well, for this week anyway! ^_^ And...Oh Yeah!...My craft show is 'BACK ON' again! O_O Long story. I'll spare you. :-)) I'll just say...it's gonna be in about 3 weeks!!!! AARGH!!!!!!! LOL.....That's why I haven't been online as much. I'm busy, busy, busy!!! :-]

      I'm even making some toddler hats and scarves!...I just finished this toddler's hat...

      ...and the matching scarf! :-) ...
 

      And this is my first attempt at a toddler-sized hat made in the style of my adult ones! ^_^ It's still awaiting a baby head to check it out! LOL Hopefully later today I'll know if it fits...If so, I'll have to get to work on a blue one just like it!...
 

      In other news, there have been no more coyote sightings. Only field-mice sightings. Ugh! They're making a nuisance out of themselves, and we're doing all we can to keep them OUTSIDE! :-)) Mice do not belong INSIDE the house!! LOL
      My mother-in-law is doing well, and so is my dad. Relations with my family are getting better daily...even though stresses in the family are accumulating daily too. SUCH IS LIFE!! ^_^
       Lastly, my book is being read by someone, and so are my poems. ***And my fingernails are being bitten OFF because of it! LOL*** I'll let you know if anything becomes of it!!!...Anyway!...I'll hopefully see you tomorrow with the latest Etsy finds....No Promises though!! Just 'roll with me', will ya! ^_^ And have a good rest of the weekend, Everybody! ♥

      Hi! :-) Look at that! Two days in a row I'm posting! Go Figure!! LOL Actually though, you can consider this post 'me keeping my word'. I told you on yesterday's post that I'd stop by to share some cute rings I saw on Etsy. So here I am!! ^_^

      What a beautiful morning it is! :-) Surprisingly, though, it's not the beautiful morning I thought it was! O_O I thought it was Saturday!....Uhhhh...apparently I lost Saturday somewhere! ^_^ Imagine my surprise when I came to the blog this morning to post the new finds for Saturday...

      ...Only to find out that it isn't Saturday at all...but Sunday! O_O WOW!...Where did Saturday go?!...Hmmmm...I do have some vague Saturday images in my head....of some belly pain...some potato soup...and a Roger Federer versus Novak Djokovic tennis match that Roger won!!! :-)

By the way, the few tweaks I made to my shop listings, and my shop announcement, have made a bit of a difference to my Wuglyees shop traffic! :-) It hasn't translated into sales that much so far, but I'm still hopeful!

Another 'Pancake Sunday' Has Flown The Coop!

      I know it's 'Pancake Sunday' in our house, but I wasn't in the mood for pancakes today. I was in the mood for chicken wings! ^_^ I know...crazy! But it's not that crazy when you realize that we had Chinese food for dinner last night...egg rolls, lo mein, and yes, chicken wings!! :-)

      So having them for breakfast didn't seem like that big of a stretch!...Go ahead, judge me!...as if you've never had leftover Chinese food for breakfast. Humph!! :-)) ... I know you have!!! LOL And guess what?...I put hot sauce on it too!!! ^_^ And I had a cup of coffee!...I'm just living dangerously up in here!! LOL

      Actually I'm just trying to enjoy my 'awake time' as long as I can. I slept most of yesterday away! :-] And the sun is so pretty in the backyard this morning!...Birds are chirping and pruning their beaks on the tree outside my window, and I can see GRASS in the yard. YAY!!! :-) I think the sunnier weather may finally be trying to hang around...even though it's due to rain tomorrow. Ugh! But at least it's not 'the white stuff'!!...I don't dare say the word. It might start sno......! OOPS! I almost said it!! ^_^

      Okay...I'm watching some 'Davis Cup' tennis matches on 'The Tennis Channel' right now. And this afternoon we have our regular meeting at the Kingdom Hall. If I can stay awake long enough, it might just be a good day! :-) I hope it is for you too!!

5 Smile-able things:

1. Sunshine in the backyard!!! YAY!

2. A blue jay flitting back and forth in the tree, even though the suet feeder hasn't had any food in it for at least 3 weeks now! (We're getting them ready for the transition to the hummingbird feeder. ^_^)

3. Leftover Chinese food, and hot coffee for breakfast...eaten with my honey bear. ♥

4. UCONN basketball...they won!...last night, and tennis on tv this morning! :-) Oh yeah, smaile-able!! ^_^

5. A chat with my sister this morning...she's coming for a visit next week! :-)

      It's a great day for faith, hope, and love...and a chicken wing or two, isn't it?! ♥ Have a good one, Y'all!! :-]

Pancakes Are Something To Smile About...Right?!

     Well...the weather is beautiful. Cold...but beautiful! But I feel terrible! Ugh!...Isn't it always the way?! O_O All I've been dong is tossing and turning, coughing, and sleeping!...Ugh!
     There has been something to smile about though!...I had a small hamburger steak and pancakes for breakfast! ^_^
 

     For now, that's the best I can say! :-) ... I'm going back to bed. *cough, cough*

    Beautiful Beatles words (from a song called 'Dear Prudence') for a beautiful Pancake Sunday morning...but without pancakes!...and maybe even without morning! ^_^  (Depending on where you live, and what time you're reading this post, it could be any time of day right now!! ^_^)

       I was more interested in 'eating up some time'! Ha! Ha!...Yes, I'm gonna get back to my pancakes eventually. But right now I'm leaving the pancakes up to my 'Honey'! :-) And he's enjoying his pancakes tremendously this morning! ^_^

      I didn't have anything to talk about today, except how tired I am, and how 'wonky' my brain is these days, and....'yadda yadda yadda'! So 'Froot Loops' talk seemed somehow appropriate! LOL

I Caught A Hummingbird With My Pancakes!

      Usually on Sunday mornings I pretty much know what I'm going to be talking about here on the blog...and so do you!...PANCAKES!! :-] But today, while I was waiting for my pancakes, I caught a hummingbird! :-)

     You may have to click on the photo to make it large enough to see him...because he is a little bitty thing! But he's there!! :-) And he's been there for a few days now!
 

     I thought, due to the pouring rain we had all day yesterday, that he was gonna be a 'No-Show'...but I was wrong! He showed up...and showed up...and showed up ALL DAY!! :-) At one point, when the rain was pouring so bad that he could have been hit by a stray raindrop and gotten knocked out!, he went underneath the leafy brush of my bushy tree and hovered! :-)

     What a little cutie!! :-)

     He's a completely different hummingbird than any I've seen at the feeder in years past. He's very tiny, and he's got different coloring. He's very dark. I'm not sure what kind of hummingbird he is. I'm not a very good name person for birds. I just like to see them. And the more colorful the better...whatever kind of birds it is! :-)
       I'm sure other hummingbirds will start to show up soon. They always do. But by then this little fella may have 'dibs' on the feeder, and he'll be ready to fight for it too!! O_O I guess hummingbirds are like people in that way. I mean...once I find a comfortable spot, or stake my claim to a certain stack of pancakes...DON'T BOTHER ME!!! ^_^
      Speaking of pancakes, I have to go and eat mine, and get myself ready for my meeting this morning (Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses). But first I wanted to show you a couple of things that caught my eye, besides the hummingbird, this morning...

Pancake Sunday......And A SECRET!! :-)

        I'm usually pretty good at keeping a secret...unless you give me a clue that it's not the kind of secret that you really want to 'keep' a secret! ^_^ That's the feeling I got about 'this' particular secret...I'll tell you about it in a second...And don't get all comfy and ready to read nothing big!! That's your warning! ^_^

       I know what 'wasn't' a secret this morning!...everybody wanted to show off their 'pretty' on Etsy today!! :-) Their 'Sunday-Go-To-Meeting' clothes and stuff! Ha! Ha! {That's what my grandmother would've said about how people were all dressed up today. ^_^}

       I saw hats and pretty colors, dresses and scarves everywhere!!...

      And they sure were pretty too!! :-] ... I LOVE this scarf! (above) :-)

      Of course, it needed some other accessories to make a 'Sunday-Go-To-Meeting' ensemble really stand out! ^_^ Something like these bracelets below...

      It's an Etsy treasury that she named "secret". ^_^ ... Well, I told you not to look for anything big!! ^_^ I have to admit though, I'm not sure why she named it 'secret'. O_O She may be the only one who knows the secret of why!

        All I know is that I'm not keeping a secret like this one! Oh no! Not with my little crochet ring in there!! LOL...

      My little crochet rings sit in my shop and ponder the universe...all day, every day!!!! LOL Nobody has been buying them!!...Well, one 'somebody' did. The 'only' somebody that did!! ^_^ THANK YOU, Somebody!! ^_^

      

      Moving on!!...Are you a good secret keeper?!...I am! Or rather, I should say, I have 'become' one over the years!...I had to learn the hard way that when someone tells you that something is a secret...that doesn't mean: 'It's a secret...EXCEPT for your bestie!' (best friend) O_O ... Oops!!

       Yeah, I made that mistake a couple of times over the years, telling the person that was the closest to me a secret that I wasn't suppose to tell...thinking that surely 'SHE' can keep a secret!!' Ha! Ha!...and then finding out that 'my' bestie also had a bestie...and her bestie had a bestie...and so forth and so on...until "I" got in trouble for being a big old non-secret-keeping blabber-mouth!!! ^_^

     Now you can tell me anything!...Well, as long as it's not something unscriptural that you're doing, or illegal!...my secret keeping abilities are like 'Fort Knox'!!! You can put your most valued possessions in this brain vault!! ^_^ ... And some people have!!

      I don't want to many more of your secrets though. I'm getting older...and I wanna talk!! LOL And some of your secrets are getting all mixed up with mine...and I'm starting to tell 'my' secrets!...I don't wanna have so many secrets in this brain that I forget where the line for yours ends, and mine begins!! ^_^

      As it is right now, I have to mentally separate the secrets from one another before I start talking...like you separate the rocks from your beans in a bag of dry pinto beans before you cook 'em!! LOL

      Oh Well!...at least your secrets are safe....TODAY!! ^_^ ... Now I'm gonna go mash 'em down with some pancakes and syrup! LOL
