Is It Monday Again?!!!!!

      Say hello to me today! :-) Well...me, in the representation of JingfenHwu's cute tabby cat!! ^_^ I saw it in my activity feed on Etsy and thought: "YEP! That's Me"!! LOL...Why?!..Well, because I'm a little tired after an eventful weekend...of which I'm not going to get into with you. And trust me, you don't wanna know anyway!! ^_^

      Instead of boring you with tales of a sick dad and a busy...sorta kinda...mental state this weekend, I'll share a couple of cute items I found on Etsy!! :-) ... Starting with this really cute 'wrist music'!...

      I know I have one of those kinds of minds that see myself as a 'fashion plate', trapped in a 'bubble girl' body, but you would wear this bracelet too...wouldn't you?! :-] When I first saw it I was thinking: "That would be a cute accessory for a Friday date night...to the theater or something! :-) ... And are we going to the theater on Friday?!...Uhhhh...Who knows! It's too early in the week for all of that folderol!! LOL

      I love the yarn color, which her son picked out himself! :-] He's got good 'color' taste!!...I may try to make a few mittens myself, children's size I mean, to give as free gifts in my Wuglyees shop. It was an idea my girlfriend gave me. A GOOD idea!!! :-)

The French Open And...American Chop Suey!

       I'm having a good weekend! :-) And yes, I do know it's actually Monday....or at least it is here. :-)) But hubby is home today, because of the holiday here. So it still feels like the weekend to me still!

     Hubby was in the mood to cook too, so that REALLY makes it a good 'pseudo' weekend!...Or does it?! O_O He wasn't making his 'tried and true' recipes. You know, the ones he does great every time!...No, he decided to make American Chop Suey, or Goulash.  

     For those of you not familiar with it, it starts with elbow pasta...

      The above elbow macaroni is not elbow macaroni at all! It just looks like elbow macaroni. It's actually a radio!! :-) I just had to show it to you because it fascinated me! ^_^ ... But, like I was saying, American Chop Suey starts with elbow macaroni. Then you have to brown some ground beef and add spices, bell pepper, and tomatoes!...

      Unfortunately...hubby's didn't look like this. O_O He used ground turkey instead of ground beef, and it ended up looking like the turkey was trying to fly the coop! LOL "Sorry Honey". 

      His ground turkey didn't brown and caramelize the way ground beef does. It kinda looked gray!...YUCK!...All of that hard work and yet...I didn't wanna eat it!! O_O Or should I say, I was afraid to eat it!!

     He ate a plate of it though, and he's still alive! ^_^ So I may try it today...after it 'melds' a bit longer! ^_^ What can I say. I'm funny about food that doesn't look, on the plate, the way it looks in my head!! LOL

      He says I hurt his feelings after he did all of that work. :-(  And his argument also included something about how "he" thought it tasted good... "Sorry Honey"...It wasn't my intention to hurt his feelings. And if it tasted good to him...great! But I couldn't eat it....I just COULDN'T!!!! ^_^ I had visions of Salmonella 'coming to get me'!! LOL

      I reasoned with him that it's really not him. It's me!...and that's true! Once I get a vision of what my food is 'suppose' to look like in my head, if the reality doesn't come to fruition...I'm OUT!!! ^_^

     I didn't used to be like that! But now that I'm going through 'the change' I'm having weird food issues. I can hardly stand the smell of cooking eggs or chicken. And don't get me started about the 'texture' of certain foods. Ewwwwwww Whee!!! We could be here for days talking about it!! LOL

      Thankfully I had some crunchy 'Cheetoes' in my stash, or I might've starved to death last night!! LOL... Okay. That's a bit dramatic. :-)) But let me just say...I think hubby's American Chop Suey might taste good with a layer of Cheetoes on top!...I may have to try that in order to get it down!.....Shhhhhh! Don't tell him! It might hurt his little 'slaving-over-a-hot-stove' cooking heart!! :-)

      Anyway!....American Chop Suey is not my main focus this weekend. And it's not crocheting either...even though I had a few sales over the weekend and I NEED to replace the items in my Wuglyees shop!...No! My main focus this weekend is TENNIS!! :-)

       It's that time of year again. The FRENCH OPEN!!!! :-) Oh, the happiness! This weekend has had a good meeting at the Kingdom Hall, a great 'virtual'date night to Jamaica with beef patties and coco bread, sales in my shop, giggle time with hubby, and tennis!!! :-) If I leave the whole fiasco with the American Chop Suey out, it might just be the recipe for a perfect weekend!! :-) "Sorry Honey".

Woohoo!!...Another Monday Has Come Around!

        Another Monday, Y'all!!...The weekend has come and gone...too fast for some of us!...and now it's time to pull out the long schedule of 'To Do' things that have to be 'Too DONE' by the end of the week! ^_^ Time to fix the lunches for school or work, get the kids up, take your shower, get dressed, eat a little 'somethin' somethin', and GET OUT THE DOOR!!! LOL...Kinda reminded me of an old 'Dunkin Donuts' commercial...
  

    
         ...Or for those of us who didn't get ANY sleep last night...UGH!...it's time to hit yourself in the head with a hammer!! LOL Ohhh! I need some sleep!!!...I've got so many things to do today too!!...Isn't that always the way?! When you absolutely need to be at your rested best...rest and sleep flee from you like a Cheetah on fire! ^_^
      And isn't it even more wonderful when you've been up all night, but your handsome spouse has been right next to you sleeping like a newborn baby...for hours...and hours...and hours?!!..Well, it seems like that amount of hours anyway! Actually, we went to bed around 10:30...but HE just happened to be the only one that actually went to sleep!
      I was laying there with my C-Pap machine mask on, listening to myself breathe!..."Luke, I am your father!" LOL...I finally turned the T.V. on around 11-ish, and set the sleep timer on it to go off in about a half an hour........Four episodes of "Storage Wars", and three re-sets of the t.v. sleep timer later...I stopped re-setting it, and just took the C-Pap mask off!...Grrrr!...Good thing though, because I was wide awake for the whole 2 a.m. airing of Oprah's interview with Whitney Houston's family!...She did a great job with it too...What?!...you don't look for long shows to look at on t.v. when your eyes have a blinking exit sign on em', but the 'dream-land' exit is blocked?! O_O
      Needless to say, it's gonna be a long day!...for me anyway...Although, considering the fact that, on his trip around the bed heading to the bathroom, somewhere around three O'clock, hubby knocked the bedside lamp onto the floor and broke a bulb all over the place, and then almost tripped over his briefcase!, maybe his day is gonna be kinda long too! ^_^...that's if he ever actually wakes up I mean!!.....Hmmmm......Ummmmm.....Okay, no. I'm not gonna do it! LOL
        The only other thing I can say is "Thank You, Etsy"!! If it wasn't for Etsy, my time from 3:30 a.m. until now...about 6:45 a.m....would've been one long haul!!! LOL But instead I had things like the martini glasses in the header photo, and these things (below), to look at! :-)...

       Tomorrow I'll share a few pieces of the jewelry from my own jewelry box...It's time to sell some of it...*gulp!*...but which pieces?!....*gulp!*...I may not get any sleep tonight either, thinking about that!!!

        Oh! I'm sorry!...Did I wake you up now too?! O_O......GOOD! Why should I be in this woke up state alone?!!! ^_^...In fact, I think I'll 'accidentally' wake hubby up now too! I'm starting to feel kinda 'snacky'! LOL...Okay, so there is a few perks of having your husband out of work!!

I Can't Believe It's Sunday Already!

       WOW! Where did the weekend go?!...Especially yesterday?! It felt like I was up really early and focused on arrangements, and this and that, and then...like an old east wind...it was gone! 
       I guess it could've been worse. It could've been a somber, dragging day. My memories and tears could have rolled themselves up in a ball and imploded!!....I'm glad that didn't happen. Instead, this morning....I have a sorta smile on my face, and I'm glad a new day has begun again.

        I have to apologize to you all though, that I didn't read any blogs, or respond to your comments or emails yesterday! Sorry, but I was so tired last night that it's a wonder I was still able to form sentences...never mind read and think!...But rest assured I'll get to that right after I get this post up! Even the thought of me not replying to your comments makes me ill! My southern upbringing I think. :-]
     In just missing one day...ONE DAY!...I feel like it's gonna take forever for me to catch up with myself! Just listen to what I have to do today now....
    --I've got to answer your comments and emails...I HAVE TO!! LOL
    --I've got to read and catch up on your blogs.
     --I've got to wrap and send two headbands that I sold last night....Woohoo!!! That was a nice surprise! My first ones sold online!...
     --I've got to wash my sweaty hair...a project I don't look forward too, with my tired self...and my piles of Rapunzel-like locks...*Teehee*!....Maybe I'll wait until later! :-)
    --I've got to pay my quarterly taxes....Aargh! I hate going on that site!
    --I've got to find out whether I'm allowed to sell a silver mink stole....My friend and I were looking to put it on Ebay and saw that someone else that was selling theirs made a point of saying that theirs was not 'wild', that it wasn't on the endangered species list! O_O What?!...How do you find out if your silver mink stole is wild or not?!......UGH! And is that a pre-requisite for selling it?...More reading!
    --I've got to write a thank you card for the delicious meal that some friends, two brothers,  made and shared with hubby and I this week. :-) It was the most delicious meal we've eaten in a while, eggplant parmesan, garlic bread, and strawberry shortcake! :-) And they made up a whole professional-looking French-style menu and everything!..."Thank you 'Brothers Bistro'! :-] The meal was delicious! And your thoughtfulness and encouragement for our tough week was even more precious to us! ♥ {Shhhhh! I'm sending them both some scarves I made! :-)}
     --I've got to finish another pink headband for the Giveaway...I finished another gray one already. And some other ones too! Including a yellow one...

          You can't see it very well, but I ran a metallic gold thread through this one too...

          ...and I made the flower on it just out of the metallic thread. :-) It's a fashion headband. Hopefully, if I get it photographed...something else that's on the 'To Do' list today!...I'll be able to show it to you tomorrow.....{By the way, only 4 more days before the Giveaway drawing!!      --And lastly, I've got to make some phone calls to some friends I got re-connected with yesterday...Funerals are an odd thing. Someone has died, but you get to see friends that you haven't seen in forever! You see little ones that have grown up into 'big ones'...hear the stories of all of the health challenges people have been dealing with, unbeknownst to you!...*I found out that one of my old friends has actually gone blind!! :-( *
      ...you hear about how the economy is affecting people...(Some have changed jobs, some are contemplating moving to another state.)...And you see and feel the love for you in all of the tears, smiles, held hands, and hugs of people who have known you for years, and who miss you terribly!...As you also miss them. Note to self: KEEP IN TOUCH BETTER!!!!
     Hubby's got his own list of things to do today too, which include doing some shredding, filing, and organizing. I don't think we're gonna see each other much...except for a wave and a smile today. Good thing we were able to have that quick trip to 'virtual' San Francisco on Friday! :-)
     The whole weekend has flown! I really can't believe it's Sunday already!! Monday is gonna be back around so quick!!

Some Things Are Just Ugly!!

     I finished it!! :-) I'm not gonna let a little arthritic stabbing pain stop me from crocheting!!....O-U-C-H!!!  ^_^ And, while it's not the most beautiful thing I've ever done....In fact I'd even use the word 'Ugly'...I like it!!

        Of course my view could be a little skewed this morning, considering that I was up and down all night with hubby...keeping an eye on something else that was ugly....an ugly water leak! O_0
      Yep! Something sprung a leak! We had a fast drip coming out, and a wall that started bubbling!! And calling repair people ...when it's their three day holiday weekend...was not pleasant!! 
       We kept getting responses like: "My hands are tied", and "I'm sorry. I can't help you!" O_O So, we were on 'Keep-Your-Eye-On-It-To-Make-Sure-The-Floodgates-Don't-Open-Up!' watch, all night!...Every three hours the bucket that was catching the water had to be emptied!...*shaking my head*...UGH!
       So, pain or not, I was thankful to have my 'Ugly Wuglyee' to work on...

       I don't know if you can really see it, but the ends of the scarf...with the rose and beige mixed thick part...is sorta like the feel of fur. Soooooo soft!

      My photography makes it look like there's some blue in there! LOL But there's no blue. Just a brownish beige and a rose red sorta kinda. :-))
     In the other sections of the scarf there's chocolate brown, some micro-fiber black (that's in between each section), and some fuzzy pink...

        Oh yeah.....it's a 'Wuglyee' alright!! :-)

       It looks very nice on Tina, out there in the backyard. Hopefully somebody will be able to visualize themselves in it...wherever they live! :-] ...Anyway...my new 'Ugly Wuglyee Crochet Scarf' is now on sale in my Wuglyees shop!! :-)
      We have a lot of enjoyment of the backyard going on these days...besides Tina I mean. ^_^ I'll share some photos of what I mean tomorrow...In the meantime, hubby and I are gonna have some breakfast....yes, he's home! (waiting for the plumber...or a wall of water to come barreling through! LOL)...and then try to make the best of the day. Hey!....at least he's home! :-)

Monday Musings About The Fall, Crochet, Parks, Owls And Gardens

        It's Monday...whether you want it to be or not! ^_^ I hope you all had a good weekend. I did. Not because there was anything special going on...but because there wasn't anything special going on!! You know....no drama!....Just peaceful....quiet.....nice! :-) Except for the humidity we're having right now...(which is suppose to break by Wednesday...YAY!)...it's like the perfect Fall/Autumn season.

       And I guess I'm not the only one feeling that way because I woke up to the nice notices of being in two new treasuries. One having to do with the Fall. The other having to do with a special kind of garden. 

       First...NatCraftsandPhotos included my Chocolate Brown and Pumpkin Orange Brazilian Citrine Crochet Dangle Necklace from my Wuglyees Etsy shop...

        ...in her Fall-inspired treasury entitled Signs of Fall...

     She also included a scarf from her own shop in there too! Her Lots of Color Crochet Scarf...

          I love the colors she chooses for the items in her personal shop...And I also like the colors of a couple of the things she chose for this particular treasury...like this 'Encinitas Cotton photo print' by rachelheath...

        There's blues and yellows and greens in this one. Happy colors for a Monday, don't you think?! :-) And who doesn't like an owl?! Especially one as cutely made as this Oliver Owl Throw Pillow from RobinsNestBoutique!
