I'm Singing Of Spring...But I'm Not Sure About The Words!

      Have you ever been singing a song for a long time with words that you were SURE were correct, but then you found out that you were waaaaaay off?!...If you say "no!", or you claim you don't know what in the world I'm talking about,....Uhhh....I'm not gonna say it, but you know what you are! O_0

      There's a song I've been hearing almost every day for weeks on t.v....a song that was being used as the theme music for a television series...that I was sure the words were one thing, but when I finally looked it up on Youtube I found out that the words were something all together different!!...Completely! Ha! Ha! (I'll share it with you below)

      But that's not the first time that's happened to me! I've sung some songs for years...usually while I was riding in the car...

       ... that I'm sure have 'my' very own lyrics to them, and that my 'spin' on them would be a total surprise to their song-writers! ^_^ ...I guess that's to be expected when you have as much music in your head as I do, and you've gotten to the age where your brain is trying to file away all of your useless information! ^_^

       I KNOW I'm not alone here! In fact, my hubby...with almost every song he sings...has outright butchered some song lyrics in my earshot! Ha! Ha!...

       By the way, he hasn't done that within the last two days. He hasn't been singing...unless you call Zzzzzzzz singing! LOL...His bug...or whatever this is...has had his fever up and down, he's had aches and pains, a raspy throat, a mucousy cough, and he's been sleeping...sleeping....sleeping. I've been doctoring him though, and he actually is feeling better than it sounds...And, thankfully, so far...he's the only sick one in the house! And I'm trying to keep it that way!...I'm still singing! ^_^

       I'll tell you what I'm not singing about though....the weather! Is this Spring...or not?! I'm confused!...

                ...One day it's 70 something degrees. The next day it's 30. The next day it's raining and 50 something!...that would be today....I think! We'll have to wait and see!

      I guess Güler Mızrak, of likeknitting, thinks it is Spring, because she made this treasury...

       It's entitled Colorful Spring!!...and WOW! Is it ever colorful in this treasury! There's so many pretty colored scarves and things that I think it would be better if you click on the treasury above and go over and look at them yourself!...And...Oh yeah!...she included something colorful from my Wuglyees shop too...

      Now I'm off to do some more sleeping...didn't sleep much again last night...And later, some crocheting....didn't do any of that yesterday either! I've been a little distracted trying to make sure my man is okay and comfortable. Now that he seems to be on the recovery mode, I've got stuff to do...including singing songs with the wrong words! I thought the catch line to the song that I just found out the name of,  This Year's Love (below), was ♫ "This here love is fatally..." ♫ *shaking my head*...

       Now I know that the lyrics are ♫ "This year's love had better last...." ♫ *shaking my head*...

 Spring!

I barely can wait for Spring.
With winter I've just had enough!
The ice on the sidewalks,
 and snow in the yard,
have been so depressing and rough.

I usually don't wait for the Spring.
I'm not a real fan of the bees.
My eyes fill with water,
and nose fills with pollen,
and my only pastime is a sneeze.

But this year I can't wait for the Spring!
I await how my nose has to blow.
My glee I can't hide.
I've been cooped up inside,
Emotionally tackled by snow!

February!!!.....And It's Spring!!....Sorta Kinda. O_0

        It's February 1st...FEBRUARY FIRST, PEOPLE!!!...and it's suppose to get up to 54 degrees (Fahrenheit) today!!!! O_O If this was southern California I'd say: "Okay!", but it's gonna get up to 54 degrees...in Massachusetts...in February!!

     Let's be honest, how many of you New Englanders, or north coasters, were expecting Spring in Massachusetts...in February?! O_O ...I'm confused now. Do I continue making hats because....because...we just might get winter after all...eventually?!...Or do I move on to the crochet jewelry, toilet tissue covers, and pocketbooks of Spring?!...SPRING!

        I have to decide because I'm all done with my latest hat and I'm just working on a replacement headband, and then I have to get another project going!...*sigh*...Well, I can show you the hat anyway!...

          Yep! A white one!

        So soft too!

       I agonized over which button to put on it...Can't you see the sweat on my brow?! ^_^ I couldn't decide whether to choose one with color, or to stay with the white theme. But I finally decided...

       I decided to stick close to the white color. After all....it's Spring!....sorta kinda. O_0 It's time for sunshine and warmer temperatures, daffodils and butterflies!....Not the time for snow (alias "the white stuff") and shovels, heavy soups and donuts with coffee......Well, let me re-think that last statement.....Hmmmm.....I need a visual...

       Doughnut Madness!!!! :-) ... Okay! I threw you a little bit of a curve ball. Maybe it "is" time for some doughnuts!! At least Aron and Ashley, from the blog Hither & Thither, think so!! :-) And they're New Yorkers...north easterners! :-) 

      They're enjoying the nice weather, but they're not rushing the seasons. They're enjoying the doughnut madness!...so why can't I!! ^_^ ...So let's keep the doughnut option on the table, Okay?!...and the coffee too...just saying! I mean...just because it's Spring...sorta kinda....that doesn't mean we have to get all tofu and celery stalks around here!....Not all the time anyway! ^_^

     Quick Updates: 1. Our car is still not functioning. :-( Although hubby thinks he knows what's wrong with it now....a blocked fuel filter. It's gonna have to be replaced this weekend;...

     2. Also, hubby has had a job change...of sorts. He changed routes. He used to have a route out of state. As of this week he'll be MUCH closer to home! :-) He'll be able to pop home during the day. Isn't that great!!!...

      His reasoning may not be all that great though. He's been worried about me. My health is not getting any better. Physically I'm showing signs of wear and tear...like an old roof on a hundred year old barn! LOL So, just in case I need him, he's switched routes so he can be here quickly if I need him.

     Considering the economy, I was a little worried about him making the move. His previous route was one that nobody else wanted to do! In fact, the new guy he showed it to...was flabbergasted that he had done it for as long as he did! And he was feeling overwhelmed that now it was gonna be his responsibility!! O_O

    So hubby was kinda NEEDED on the other route! Now it'll be different. Anyone can do this route without a problem...We're not gonna worry about it. Some things have to be put in the hands of the one who can do something about it! So we're keeping our trust in Jehovah. We know that, if push comes to shove, he can handle it! :-)
     3. {And I almost forgot to post this!...*shaking my head*...I had to come back!} The Giveaway winner of my fuzzy keychain is...

Spring!

I barely can wait for Spring.

I've Been Waiting For This!

      I saw this beautiful print with the singing yellow warblers when I was roaming around through a treasury on Etsy yesterday and I immediately began to smile! sarahkdesigns has all kinds of birdies in her shop. Chicadees, cardinals, bluebirds, etc... It reminded me that...Yes!...it's almost Spring!! :-) I've been waiting for it this year!
      Just looking out my back window, you'd hardly know it was close to Spring! I've still got lots of snow...but I can see a little bit of my grass now! YAY! The happiness!! ^_^ Okay, so I'm being a little bit TOO excited! After all, even though there's a lot of melting going on now that the temperatures are rising...a little...there's still a LOT of snow out there! (I'm going to try to get a couple of photographs to show you tomorrow)
     Thankfully I've got lots of photos to remind me of how close we are to Spring though...

      ...all it takes is a picture of a flower to put you in the right mood to welcome the Spring, right?!! :-)
     It'll be nice to see the ice and snow gone! It's been wreaking havoc all over the country...and in other countries too I might add! We've even had some personal incidents with the weather this winter. Like the loss of our beloved old 'hoopty' {our old car}. The cold got to her and we had to get rid of her.
      And hubby took a spill on the ice the other day! Thankfully he didn't hurt himself too bad. He got dirt all over the back of his clothes, got embarrassed a bit, and had a few aches and pains the next day...We had a whole conversation about how we're not as young as we used to be, and how we can't afford to break a hip because our 'nutty' family might try to put us out to pasture! LOL
     Oh! The things we talk about now!! LOL...It did lead to a decision that had to be made about his job though. They've been requiring more and more time out of him a day, and putting more and more stops on his route to take care of....in the same amount of time! It's been really bothering hubby. So, yesterday, he filed a grievance with the company. He felt that it was something that just had to be done, just in case his job gets in jeopardy because of him not being able to do all that they're requiring him to do now. Oh! If you only knew!!!
    On other fronts, I didn't talk to my dad yesterday. I take that to mean that he's feeling pretty good! I'll call today to check on him...just in case. His silence though, usually means all is well......And while the flowers are de-icing themselves outside...

     ...I've been working away on my crocheted flowers inside! :-) I just finished another small crochet necklace flower. It was made in honor of these flowers...

      ....but with a crochet twist! :-)

     I altered the reflection in the center button a little, on Picassa. You could see my big hands and stuff in it. ^_^ I spared you!...I'm really loving these little flowers. I hope they catch on and start to sell in my shop! I'm going to keep making them anyway...for now...until my arthritis kicks in and says: "That's enough, Old Lady!!" ^_^
     Okay, last thing for today...I won a Giveaway over on the blog planettreasures!!! :-) A pair of earrings!...Woohoo!!! And considering how beautiful her jewelry is in her Etsy shop, I can't wait to get them! You can take a peek at her earring section HERE! 
     Okay, I'm off to make some more flowers...and look out the window for Spring...It's not a joke, right?! It really is coming.....right?! :-/
