Friday 'Virtual Date Day'!...Let's Play It Again!!

     Hi!...It's 'Virtual Friday'! :-) I was up at five o' clock this morning this about our trip tonight! :-)) I guess you can tell that Fridays are important to me, huh?! ^_^ Especially this month, with our busy schedules and mental 'frazzle'!! LOL

     We haven't been venturing too far from home on our Friday dates lately. Partly because 'who has the time to do all that packing?!'...and partly because there's so much scary stuff going on in the world that traveling abroad to almost anywhere, with the plane rides, and suspicious body searches, and having to wear flip flops (^_^), etc....is just too much to deal with!!!

     But we 'can' dress up!...and dance!...listen to music ("Play it again"!! ^_^)...and eat good food!...almost anywhere!! ^_^ ... Speaking of which, this Etsy treasury below is the perfect place to look for some 'dress-up' clothes to wear!! :-) ...

     The last little bird reminded me that pretty soon all of my entertaining hummingbirds will be gone. :-( They're still darting and playing...or...uhhhh...whatever they're doing! LOL One of them stays on his little branch perch all day long, going back and forth to the feeder, and coming to the window to check out what I'm doing! ^_^

     I guess it's about time to get some suet ready for the winter birds!! :-) What are backyards and birdies for...besides entertaining me?!! Ha! Ha!

     Time to get to crocheting! I'm making another hat...with angel hair yarn this time! I 'have a hankering' to see that cowboy hat pattern made with some variegated yarn! ^_^ You know I'll show you when it's done. You KNOW it!! Ha! Ha!...Have a good weekend, Y'all! Let's play it again!! ♥

      If you follow my ramblings on this blog, you know that today is 'date day' for hubby and I. We 'virtually' go somewhere in the world on a date 'get together' every Friday...Today...Uhhhh...we couldn't decide where to go! ^_^

      Hubby has been home all week, so the whole week has already felt like a date! :-) We haven't even had much rain this week!...

      We 'did' have some windy days...And it is kinda cold out there! But nothing too bad...So, where shall we go?!...What shall we do?!...As, per usual, it has to include good music, good food, and maybe some thing good to look at!...

Saturday Plans?!......Hmmmm....

      I know that Saturday is usually the day that most people are looking forward to doing stuff...You know, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden, going on day trips with the kids, inviting friends over for a meal, doing grocery shopping, visiting grandma, etc.

      But, for me, Saturday looks like almost every other day...A day for reading, writing letters and cards, tennis, crocheting, and napping! :-) And, Oh Yeah, an occasional conversation with the hubby about silliness. ^_^

     And today is no different in that regard!...Hubby and I had a silly conversation this morning about why we do silly things...like why I insist that my breakfast items...scrambled eggs, sausage, and grits with cheese...be on my plate completely separated...COMPLETELY!...and then when I get ready to eat it I mix everything up...COMPLETELY!...before I eat it!! LOL...It reminds me of that 'loading the spoon' scene from "The Mirror Has Two Faces". ^_^

     But he's no better because he has this thing about not finishing anything completely. That's why after dinner there's always a spoon of this, and a fork-full of that, that ends up as leftovers in the refrigerator! LOL...Leftovers that get found in the refrigerator months later and has to be thrown out!! ^_^ ... He also has a thing about walking around the house with his zipper undone...and I'm not talking about a romantic issue here...just comfort...but that's a whole 'nother' issue I'm not ABOUT to get into online anyway!!! LOL 

     So, what does your Saturday plans look like?! :-] ...Spending time with your elders?!....

     Yeah!...I'm starting my 'Virtual' Friday Date Night blog post today with a beautiful photo of somewhere cool...watery...vacation-y...Ahhhhhhhh! :-) Oh Yeah! We have to go 'THERE!'...NOW!! ^_^ And we will!! LOL
      Actually, 'ANYWHERE' is better than Holyoke in a heatwave!!^_^ Yep! We're still ♫ having a heatwave ♫, and it's suppose to actually be hotter today than it's been any of the other days!...up to 100 degrees maybe!!...*gulp!* O_O
    My mother-in-law must've been sweltering!! O_O She must have been sweltering when she was in the house, I mean, because part of the day she was in the dentist's office! O_O YIKES! Which is worst...having your house the temperature of the right hand side of the sun, or sitting in a dentist's chair, having them tell you that you need a root canal and a crown that costs a gazillion dollars?!! O_O

      In other news, I just saw on the news that the city of Detroit Michigan is filing for bankruptcy! O_O WOW!...In the first place, I didn't know that cities could file for bankruptcy!...and in the second place, how sad is it that the place with the nickname "The Motor City", (because of it's automotive center), and "Motown" (Oooooo! The music!!!),  could go bankrupt after giving a lot of us such 'rich' history!! :-(

       Something else that was interesting was this chart about the differences between how men and women see color!...

     I'm sure that not everyone will agree with this...but in the Wug household...it's soooooo true!!! ^_^ Hubby sees 'one' color, not shades of color!...and sometimes even the colors themselves get blurred. For instance, pink and red are the same color to him. And sometimes with the two colors right next to each other he still can't see the difference!
    I can't tell you how many times I've been filling an order and asked hubby to hand me the red one, or the wine red one, or the brick red one, or the blood red one, or the orange red one, etc....and ended up instead with a hubby glare! ^_^
      I thank Happy Mango Beads for letting me see the chart. She shared it on her Facebook page. :-) ... By the way, I took a quick look at HappyMangoBeads Etsy shop too! :-) I found these gorgeous beads!...

       Lastly, for today, I spent some time crocheting some variegated  boutonnieres yesterday, for my Wuglyees shop...

What I Did Yesterday

        What did you do yesterday?!...Work at a secular job all day?!...Have lunch with your girlfriends or guy friends?...Do some crafting or needlework?...Mow the lawn?...Etc....? Was it a good day?!

      Well, my day just flew by! It seemed so productive, but......but......! O_O Well, here's what I did!...

       I had a little breakfast...nothing special. Just nourishment.

        You know how it is. Sometimes it's got to be like that!...especially when the next day is 'Virtual Friday'...like it is today!! ^_^ ... the day when hubby and I eat something we've been craving all week, while we're on our date...somewhere in the world! :-) Tonight it's a trip to South Africa!! :-)

       After breakfast I needed a nap! :-)

     With my 'female' issues lately, I've been taking lots of refreshing naps! ^_^ The key word is 'refreshing'! Not 'sleep'...which would be 'restoring'. LOL Yes, people! There is a difference!!

       After my nap, I looked around at what some of my friends have been doing lately. I saw that my friend Cindy made another one of her cute necklaces for little girls! :-) ...

       I love it!! :-) Of course I would. It's a flower, and it has colorful green in it!! ^_^ It's such a cute necklace for a little girl!!...Keep up the good work, Cindy! ♥

      Then it was lunchtime.

        But I wasn't hungry!...So instead of eating, I...

     After 'that' nap I spent some time with hubby. We listened to some really encouraging public discourses, and talked a little about life...with a few giggles along the way. ^_^

       Then I did a bit of crocheting...

       I still have a couple of backings to put on a couple of other boutonnieres I finished. I'll do that on the 'virtual' airplane out of the country later...if they don't give me a hard time about taking my crochet hooks! O_O 'Virtual' traveling takes so much thought these days! ^_^

      Then it was time for dinner!...and since I had missed lunch...I WAS STARVING!!! It required a little 'snacky-poo' while I was waiting for dinner to be finished cooking. :-]

        And after another talk session with hubby, it was time for...you guessed it! ^_^ ...another nap!!

     The last nap was taken right before my meeting last night...which was wonderful by the way, even though I was 'low energy'. 

      "And wait! That's not all!!" ^_^ Sorry. The infomercial phrase came into my mind! Ha! Ha! After the meeting hubby and I talked about the talks that were presented. We especially loved the little ones' presentations. :-)

      Then it was a relaxed viewing of the NBA basketball final! :-) Congratulations to the Miami Heat on their repeat championship win!! 

    Can you see, from my goings-on yesterday, how 'exciting' of a day it was?! LOL Okay...so it wasn't that exciting. ^_^ I'm still not at 100% yet. But I'm working on it!...Still...
