      I was just getting ready to take my nap...so that I can be all rested up to pay good attention at my meeting tonight...when I realized I hadn't done my blog post today to tell you the good news!...I FOUND IT!! :-) Of course I'm talking about my elusive rainbow baby blanket that I've been searching for a few days!...

      I decided to 'really' look for it today, instead of just looking for it in the bunched up filing cabinet of my mind...like I've been doing for the last few days! ^_^ Oooooo! That filing cabinet is a mess!!! LOL
      I had to go through bags and bags of yarn in my work-room! O_O Yikes! Who knew I had that much yarn anyway?!!! WOW!...And not only did I find the rainbow baby blanket...half done, of course!...but I found other projects that need to be either given away, thrown away, listed in my Wuglyees shop,  or finished!
      NO! I don't know where they came from!!! ^_^ And even worse, I don't have the pattern for them written down anywhere, and I'm gonna have to go back into that bunched up filing cabinet of my mind to try to remember how to finish them!! O_O ...Uhhhhh...it could be a lost cause! LOL
      I found this throw pillow cover...

      I remember finishing this one!...but why I didn't list it in the shop?!...I don't know. O_O It's really soft, with frilly yarn on the front, and a big, soft, crochet button flower! :-) ... And on back?.....
 

      ...no frill, but lots of softness. :-)

      I also found this very soft and pretty baby blue baby blanket...in progress. :-) ...
 

      In was in a bag with all of the yarn to finish it...but no written pattern! O_O UGH!...

      It's not right!...It's not right, I tell you!...for a woman with an Etsy shop that has the theme:  "Where nothing is wasted--not even the ugly!" to have all of this yarn, and these crochet projects in bags 'going to waste'!! O_O I've got to get them done!!!...

      And I will!!!...as soon as I finish the project I started with this pretty yarn. :-) ...

My Team Is Out,.....But I'm In!!!!!

      I hope you all had a good weekend. I certainly did!! :-) I was a 'play-off football' watching, eating, and crocheting fool this weekend!!...And considering that my football team, the Dallas Cowboys (I'm talking U.S. football, Y'all! ^_^), is no longer in it....*Booooooo....Hisssssss*...I'm amazed at how much I'm still enjoying watching!!

     The reason may have something to do with my hubby! :-] We have a very friendly rivalry going between the two of us. Every team that he likes....I like the opposite one! ^_^ We've had some fun yelling at the television during plays! LOL

      For those of you not into sports.....I'm sorry. This post is gonna bore you to tears!!!! ^_^ ...because it's Superbowl play-off time...and I need to talk about it!! :-)) The Superbowl is on Sunday, February 3rd this year...I CAN'T WAIT!!! :-)

      There are only 8 teams left, and thanks to a few great shops I found on Etsy, including artmatryoshka with her 100% natural wood and paint Matryoshka nesting dolls, I can have fun telling you about them! :-)) ...In the NFC division the teams left are the...

     I'm into football!...I'm hoping New England stays in it right up to the Superbowl!! :-) That would be a great substitute for my Cowboys!! :-) ... But I'm also into other sports too...like, for instance, tennis. And guess what?!......*EXCITEMENT!!!!! ^_^*...next week, starting January 14th, is the start of the Australian Open Tennis matches!!!! YAY!!!! :-)

      What am I gonna do with my fool sporty self when football play-offs and tennis matches land on the same weekend?! O_O .... I know. I'm gonna channel surf back and forth all day, that's what!!!! LOL....I'm in, Baby!!! ^_^

      The other stuff I'm into is crocheting! And I did some of that this past weekend too!! :-) ...

      I made some three-color men's boutonnieres. This last blue, gray and white one is already listed in my Wuglyees shop --> HERE
        I'm hoping to get the other two listed today. It shouldn't be a problem...there's no football or tennis matches on today! ^_^ ... Okay, I'm off to do some reading, studying, and more crocheting! :-) Have a good day, Y'all!

Nothing Major...Just Wanted To Share!

        I haven't told you a few things that have been going on around here lately...nothing major. But I just felt like sharing today...Translation: I slept about seven hours, so WATCH OUT WORLD!!! LOL...Just kidding. ^_^

     One of the things I wanted to share with you was a couple of new Etsy shops I found. They both specialize in cool items.  BeachBlues (above header photo) specializes in the coolest re-dos of Mason jars!!...These painted and distressed ones can hold school supplies for the kids...

    ....Or you could use them for decorative Fall flowers, put in specific spots in your house...

       ...Or you could decorate tables at a wedding, with them holding a little bouquet of pretty flowers! :-) ...

       Such a pretty use!...Not like the uses I'm putting the jars to in my house! LOL...My jars are holding marbles, paper clips, buttons, jewelry bags, old and melted peppermints.....don't ask! LOL

       And how pretty are these silver Mason jars?!!...

     ...And these shabby chic ones!...

     How great would a table look with soft lighting from a shabby chic Mason jar!...Once again I say...Etsians are so creative! :-)

      Before I share the other Etsy shop, let me share a couple of things going on with us...Some of it is not so fun, so be prepared. O_O

1. Hubby's mom is STILL in that house!...No takers for selling yet, and no place to move to. Grrr!...I'm worried because winter is just around the corner! 

2. Hubby has a cataract, a small one, in his eye. Apparently he's had it for a looooong time, so it's not causing him any problems....except that it's inspiring him to become Mr. Funny Man! ^_^ Last night I had to be an un-willing audience for his 'Cataract Rap' singing! LOL...Stop laughing! You'll only encourage him...and I'll be the one to suffer!! LOL

3. We are between health insurances right now. The one we had from his old job ran out, and the company we applied for is REALLY SLOW about getting things on the road!...."Fill out this and that."....."Oh! We're sorry...we forgot to send you this and this. They have to be filled out too! Look for them in the mail....Ummmm...around the same time when pigs fly." ^_^

4. Friends of ours were burned out of their home a couple of days ago! O_O Terrible!!! And they have four children!...Water damage, temporary hotel stays, no furniture, moving to a new place, UGHHHHH!...I feel soooo bad for them! But I also know it could have been worse!

5. I got 4 more sales last night! :-) ...My crocheting always gives me something to smile about, no matter what else is going on!...Now I have to list the other 8 lapel pins I made over the last couple of days!

      Okay....Phew!...Let me move on, and share something that you can definitely smile about! :-) ...

       Hand blown glass pumpkins!!.... :-) ...beautifully colorful hand blown glass pumpkins!!....Oh! I love them! And I love this shop! The shop is ajjewelrydesigns!...Somebody from this shop is really talented!! :-]

      They have sapphire blue pumpkins...

        ...Orange multicolored pumpkins!...

    ...Small Yellow Pumpkins!...

    ...An orange pumpkin...of course! :-) ...
 

     ...And my favorite...a multicolored pumpkin, with strong green and blue tones! :-) ...
 

      Aren't they gorgeous?!! :-] And what I love most about them is that you could decorate almost any spot...year round...with them! ♥♥♥

It Was A Kitchen Take-Over!!

      I know it's early, but I just had to show you! My hubby outdid himself yesterday. This was ONE of the things he made after he took over the kitchen...a chocolate pecan sheet cake...for ME! :-) ... I'd love to share it with you, but since I can't I'll just have to figure out something to do with the leftover part...I'm sure I'll think of something! LOL
      As I said though, this cake was only ONE of the things he made! He started with a stew in the crock pot. I was enlisted as resident potato peeler. :-) I would've shown you some pictures of that too, but by the time it got done...I was 'done' too!...done taking pictures! :-))
      It was loaded with veggies...potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, green and red peppers, celery, stew beef chunks, and seasonings...Ater it was on, he made some potato salad...and Oh Yeah, I got pictures of that!...It was his first time making it EVER! And it was sooooo good!...

         ...He even made a pan of homemade corn bread!!!...Why the kitchen take-over you ask?!...I don't know exactly. I think it had something to do with the weather though.
      He had plans to clean and take pictures of his car that he wants to sell. It was his dad's car, but his dad is in the facility now, so his mom gave it to him. It's just been sitting in the yard all this time. The other day he went over and changed a flat tire, bought a battery for it, and washed it. Now he's trying to decide whether to keep it or sell it. It's a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer...in case anybody's interested! ^_^ The blue book price on it is about $5,000 in great condition. But because it's been sitting in the yard all this time, and needs a little work on the brakes...and a tune up...he's only asking for $3,000.
      Anyway!...He couldn't do anything with the car yesterday because it was raining off and on all day, so he spent his time as 'Chef Jeff' in the Wug kitchen. :-) ... After he put the stew on he was off to the cake baking races! He made my chocolate pecan sheet cake....AND...a lemon pound cake with cream cheese frosting for himself!...

      ...he made it in a bundt pan...Let me be honest, it didn't look that good when it came outta there!...but sometimes the 'ugliest' things come out the best, because I'm here to tell you it was DE-licious!!! :-)
      Today, thanks to a break in the weather...rain-wise...he'll be off to take care of the car, do some job hunting, and a few other errands. No worries though...I've got enough food around here now to keep my strength up while he's gone! ^_^
      Speaking of things to do while he's gone, while he was in the kitchen yesterday...except for a short potato peeling stint...I was in here crocheting my fool head off! :-)

         And when my fingers started aching too much to crochet anymore, I looked around on etsy for inspiration for future projects.....and look at what I saw!...

       It's an orange crocheted brooch...being used as an accent NOT on a man's lapel!, but on a woman's top! :-) ... Why didn't I think of this?!!!...Way to go WhimsyTimeStudio!!!...Any new place to put a crocheted flower...I'M IN!!! :-)
       And as to blog posts for today...I'M OUT!! LOL Have a good one today, Everybody!! And if you need a piece of cake or a bowl of stew....holla at me!! ^_^
