Now Here We Go!....Anxiety!

      Hello Everybody! Don't you love seeing green?! That's what I'm looking at in my header photo, and out of my window this morning. ..and rain. Oh Well.
      I hope you all had a good weekend. We did...even though I'm still having a few sleeping issues. In fact I think I'm developing some kind of anxiety disorder associated with it! O_O No kidding!
      I'm finding that, for some strange reason all of a sudden, I don't sleep more than two or three hours at a time...if that!...and when I wake up I feel like I'm in a room that needs air...NOW!!! O_O What's up with that?!!! There's nothing new going on. Everything is fine. I'm feeling pretty good...mostly, except for my normal "stuff". Soooooo...what's up with the anxiety?! Could it be some new level of hormonal issues?! O_O ...UGH!
       I've had friends that got to this point in their life...past the teenage stage, waaaay past the 30s, and on the sunny side of 60...who have dealt with this wave of anxiety coming on them out of nowhere. I sure hope that's not what "this" is!! O_O I don't need my brain having anything else to wrangle with! It's already having so much fun wrangling with 'ME' on a daily basis! ^_^
      Oh well, at least I have something to try to help me focus anyway....crochet flowers! :-) And focus I did, this weekend! I made keychains...

        This is the only one I've listed in my Wuglyees shop so far...

       I made a few. Some I'll sell in the shop, and some I'll give away as free gifts with purchases...whether they want them or not!! LOL
         I also made my very first crochet flower ring this weekend!!...

      It's an adjustable ring. Just something to use as a fun piece...

      I'm gonna have to decide what colors I wanna make them now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I mean...I know you don't have anything else to do with your time! LOL

      I think it's gonna be kinda fun knocking out ring after ring, anxiety attack after anxiety attack! ^_^ ... UGH! What's next?...The return of zits?!....teenage crying jags?!....Locusts?! ^_^ ...Whatever!!!!

     As I say all the time...getting old is not for sissies!...And yes, that's my "old" hand wearing the ring...*shaking my head*...And to think, those are the same hands that are crocheting all that pretty jewelry! ^_^ ...Good thing I can laugh!...and see! ^_^ Shhhhh! Maybe the sight will be next! O_O
       I'm only fooling around here. Yes, it's frustrating and annoying, getting old and anxious, but it's better than the alternative! LOL...Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

Quick Ditty About "Change"

No! I don't do "change" well.
I like things just the way they are.
That's why I wear a the same deodorant
and drive an old  beat-up car!

My clothes are classic, retro style;
I still shave. Will not use NAIR.
Until my hair falls out...
then I'll be off to buy some hair!

It's A Wild And Wacky, Smart And Red, Washing Machine Story!

         Are you wondering why I'm starting a post about a washing machine with a picture of an out-of-control, wild-looking plant?! Well, I'll tell you. It's because THIS is how I'm feeling about the new washing machine we just bought!! Let me explain......
       Growth is wonderful! And just like hubby's sunflower plants outside in the backyard are growing beautifully...
        ...the growth inside the house is going beautifully too. We've gone from washing our clothes in this top-loading, 'agitating' agitator model....
        ...to washing our clothes in this red front-loading, computerized model!.....
      ...*pretend you hear a chorus of 70,000 people humming and a big light just went on over it* ^_^...It's called 'LG-Life's Good'. No......seriously!! That's what the washing machine model is called!! ^_^
       Hubby agrees with the name of it too! If I didn't have almost 29 years of hard earned years in with him already, I think he might be ready to get a new model...from me...to this washing machine...and 'put a ring on it'!! LOL
     A few days ago I told you about our wait for this washing machine. As it turned out it was an even longer wait than we imagined...It was suppose to be delivered on Thursday, at dinnertime. We waited........and waited.......and waited. It never came!! What 'did' come, the next day, was an automated phone call telling us that our 'delivery had been delayed'....NO KIDDING!!!! UGH!
     After some wrangling and some complete annoyance with the whole 'ask-too-many-questions, don't-give-you-any answers' online telephone arrangement system.....UGH!...we finally got another delivery date.........Sunday morning! O_0 Is this the 'Wacky World of Wuglyees Washing Machines'?! In the past when we've tried to get a weekend delivery of...ANYTHING....we'd get 'poo pooed' like we were crazy 'don't-know-nothing' back-woods country people!!
     Whatever!!.....So, it came.....late!....but it came. Then hubby went into 'giddy, smiling, manual reading, mode'...For two days I've heard....."Ooooo! It talks to you! Not a literal talk like 'THE DOOR IS AJAR', but it makes noises!!...You remember when Red Skelton would jump and they'd play that music?....." {Okay....he's going waaaaay back for this story!! ^_^}
    "....It kinda sings to you when you turn it on, and when you choose the cycles. Then if you leave the door open or something it 'bings' and a digital code comes up!"....So it's digital?! Interesting. ^_^
     He also says that when the washing cycle is finished it sings a little 'diddy' and a sign comes up that says: "End"...I know it plays the music because I heard music playing...coming out of the bathroom...and I was kinda startled. LOL
     He's also ecstatic because it's energy efficient. It hardly uses any water. In fact, when you first start the machine the digital technology in it weighs the clothes and gives you an estimated time of how long it's going to take to wash! Then it squirts water in, a little at a time, until it fills the tub to how much water was needed. Then it washes a little while one way. Stops. And washes the load, flipping the clothes the other way!!
      But now, for the wacky part!!.....We found out....after we got it home...bad consumer planning on our part!...that it doesn't use regular detergent!!!!!!
        It's an 'HE' washer, which means it's 'High Efficiency' and only uses products marked 'HE'!!
       My translation of this is that it doesn't use sudsy detergents! NO SUDS!!!...O_0 That already has me puzzled!....But hey! It has a allergen cycle too, where you can wash your bedding and have it come out dust mite free! So, whatever!! ^_^
       My real problem with the 'HE' stuff is this...
        I don't like using stuff I've never used before!!!! Downy fabric Softener......okay. I've used this all my life!...But, for detergents, I went from things I became allergic to over the years {from 'Cheer' and  'All' to 'X-tra'} to things my skin and body would tolerate. Now I have to change again!!!!.....
           .....to this 'HE' Tide...I've never used Tide! Have any of you used it?!....Did it cost this much?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
       UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an efficiency washing machine that requires an inefficiently priced detergent!!!!!!......Yep! I think 'HE' has another meaning! I think the makers of the washing machine are somewhere laughing and saying: 'Ha-Ha...Easy'! LOL ......*shaking my head*
        Oh Well, for now all we can do is listen to the music and wait for the light bill next month. Hopefully somewhere down the line this thing will pay for itself...at least in scraps! LOL
      I'm off to have some breakfast, get some photos set for my finished hats, and get ready to start another black and white shawl...Tomorrow I hope to have my Jane Austen novel in hand too. I'm determined to read one! I'm gonna see today if the library has 'Pride and Prejudice'. I'll keep you informed.....Oops! Music is playing!.....Later! ^_^ {The poem below was written for hubby a while ago...but it fits today! LOL}

I'm A 'Soft and Dri' Girl!

    I know you're probably wondering: "What in the world is she talking about now?!!" ^_^  Well it's all about a conversation hubby and I had yesterday about what kind of "People" we were! I'll tell you about it in a minute, but first I want to show you the fingerless glove I finished yesterday!!
       I made it very small, petite.
     The wrist and forearm section are only about 6 or 7 inches (15.2 to 17.8cm) around, with a bit of stretchiness beyond that. I don't know if anyone will ever buy them, but I started them more for experimenting purposes, to see how the doily pieces would look on them. So I'll just have to wait and see if there's any tiny armed buyers out there. ;-]
     The doily circles though, will not be finding a home on these gloves! No matter how I looked at them, they were just exuding "TACKY"! LOL
     I tried one of the doilies near the cuff.....Nahhhhh!
        I tried it a little further down.....
       Nahhhhhhh! It just looked like a big out-of-place pinwheel circle, waving at people! LOL
       I found some other, smaller, more colorful crocheted circles in the little cup she gave me too. I hadn't noticed them in there before...So I tried them, to see if 'smaller would be better'.
       The smaller ones were cuter, but.....Nahhhhhhh! Not on THESE gloves. The color is all wrong for these. Maybe yellow gloves, or blue even! I'll have to look into that later.
       So, back to the drawing board for this flower doily circle idea.
         I'm gonna just put some buttons on the cuff of these gloves...and call it a day! :-) {I still have to finish the other one first though....don't want to leave it before the project is done! Noooooo! LOL}
       Now, back to my story about what kind of "People" we are!...I was down to my last can of spray deodorant...and yes I said SPRAY CAN! I'm not a roll-on person. Well, I used to be a roll-on person...until I started stinking up the place every time I wore it! LOL I think it had something to do with my hormones changing on me in later years....Whatever!...I would smell like a pair of freshly washed linen sheets...for about an hour! And then....P-U!!! ^_^
     Well, hubby couldn't find my deodorant.....ANYWHERE! Not in the grocery store, the convenience stores, the dollar store, or anywhere!! Not even on one of his Mall walks...and you know how many nook and cranny stores are in the Mall!!
     So, he suggested I switch to another brand.....WHAT?! I'm not that kind of person! I have been a 'Soft 'N Dri', original scent, spray can girl for most of my life!!
          {I used to be a roll-on 'Soft 'N' Dri' girl...before the stink-fest began! LOL}
      He didn't think it was that big of a deal, considering the fact that he wears whatever hits his fancy at the time, and whatever comes within the price range he's willing to spend that day! {If he ever died and I had to go and identify his body....Sorry. Leftover thought from talk about the murder mystery yesterday *Shiver*...let's just say, I wouldn't be able to identify him by smell! LOL}
      This started a conversation about which deodorants I've used and why I ended up stuck on 'Soft 'N Dri', original scent...In a nutshell, here it is, 'Mum' {the inexpensive cream deodorant that came in a small red and white jar} was too messy; Some of the roll-ons just didn't work; Others, I was allergic to the flowery smell...traitors, considering how much I love a flower! LOL...Some gave me big knotty bumps under my arm after using them; and some were just too expensive and too hard to find.
    Once I found my beautifully smelling, original scent, long-lasting, not too expensive, non-allergenic  to me, 'Soft 'N'Dri' I was hooked....for YEARS now! I reveled in the clean smell, and the complements from friends about how GOOD I smelled all the time! {Partly because of 'Soft 'N' Dri' and partly because of my White Linen perfume by Estee' Lauder.....but I digress! LOL}...And now this!!! I can't find it anywhere! What am I going to do?!!
     For days now I have been wearing my husband's latest find, 'Degree' deodorant FOR MEN. {I don't know why they feel the need to put FOR MEN on a stick of deodorant anyway! Women have armpits just like MEN! How does the deodorant know the difference?!....And as I was using his deodorant, it dawned on me that these companies must think that all women have narrow, paper thin armpits...whereas men have wide thick armpits, because his roll-on stick is so wide compared to the female versions!...That's a subject for another day though. LOL} I think the underarm intrusion is getting to me! LOL
     I can't be the only person that has been using the same deodorant from childhood. Can I?!...My dad is a 'Right Guard' man. For as long as I can remember, he always has been!...I found out the other day that Oprah is an 'Arid Extra Dry' girl. I mean, with all of the money in the world, and the ability to MAKE and SELL her own deodorant if she wanted to, she's apparently still using the same deodorant she used as a child!! :-]
     Hubby can laugh if he wants, but I'll be Googling 'Soft 'N Dri' today to see if the company has gone out of business...like my rope sausage company did! ;'_';...and if they haven't, no matter where I have to ship it from, I'M GOING TO GET ME SOME 'SOFT 'N DRI'!!! ^_^ That's the kind of person I am!!! ^_^
