It's A Soup & Crackers Tuesday!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/113872510/5-dollar-sale-campbells-tomato-soup-mugs?ref=favs_view_3

Hi Y'all!...It's Tuesday!...That's right, right?!...It is Tuesday, isn't it?! O_O I'm a little bit fuzzy about it this morning. It was a looooong night...and a looooong day yesterday. That's why it's a soup & crackers day for me today!
I keep finding reasons to smile, no matter what happens, but my 'wonky, up and down feeling' body doesn't make it easy! And yesterday was no exception!...I must've eaten something that didn't agree with my stomach's delicate disposition these days, because I was 'tossing my cookies'...in other words, throwing up...over and over last night. :-(
It started early yesterday afternoon, with an overly full feeling in my stomach. But as the day went on, it was a dull ache, and then a pressured pain, and then...queasiness...and then...UPSY-DAISY!!! ^_^ In other words...up she came!!! LOL
So today it's me...some hot soup...

...Some crackers ...{By the way, the above poster can be yours with free shipping. Just add the coupon code: THEWUGSBACKYARD at checkout!}...

      ...Some soup and crackers together...

...maybe some hot green tea with honey and lemon...and a blanket!...

Thankfully I already finished writing my talk for the meeting. All of my sold items were wrapped and sent off (one to Greece!)...And also, thankfully, hubby is home again today! :-) I need 'babying' today. :-] Tomorrow it can be his turn. ^_^ ... For all of YOU bloggers...stay UN-sick!...and have a good soup & crackers Tuesday!! :-)

This I know!

I am breathing every morning,
moving limbs and reaching out.
And while my brain cells might be fuzzy,
of one thing I have no doubt...

I know I don't do this alone,
even though some don't agree
I know the fruit tastes good that falls,
but someone had to make the tree!

I have respect for other's views.
I don't push my beliefs on them,
but on a daily, weekly, basis,
I give all my praise to him.

It's Not Just Any Old Full Moon!

I initially wanted to start this post talking only about one of the favorite things that I look forward to at the 'end' of this day...the full moon! But as I was writing it I realized that I wouldn't be "me" if I didn't tell you the story of why the whole day is special to me. And not just to 'me'!
        This is a special day for many people around the world...Well, it 'will' be, starting after sundown tonight. Then it will be Tuesday, Nisan 14 on the calender, and the anniversary of the death of Jesus Christ....There will be public talks given in Kingdom Hall meeting places around the world. Jehovah's Witnesses invite any of you that wants, to meet with them and examine what makes Jesus and his sacrifice so vitally important. {Just call your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses to find out the exact time.}
     I've been preparing my mind all week, reading the scriptures that follow his footsteps for each day leading up to his death. {Luke 19:29-44;...Luke 19:45-48; Matthew 21:18, 19; Mathew 21:12, 13;...Luke 20:1-47;...Luke 22:1-6; Mark 14:1, 2, 10, 11;...Luke 22:7-13; Mark 14:12-16; after sunset today --> Luke 22:14-65.}
It's the kind of day where I thought that my usual silliness...you know, my rambling stories about something hubby said, or his wonky high five...or my family or hormone issues...should not be the focus! I'm mindful today of the ransom sacrifice that was paid to give me a chance at perfect health and life, and to remove the reproach from the name of God, Jehovah...Sooooo many people don't appreciate God anymore! :-(
Hubby and I used to ride home in silence after the 'Memorial talk' (Memorial of Christ's death), just staring at the full moon that always accompanies this day...

So, later this evening, I'll be looking to the skies...and be thinking thankful thoughts...Tomorrow I'll be back to my usual chatter, because this blog is not meant for a 'preaching place'. It's the place I share what's going on with me, my crocheting, my poetry, my life! ...What kind of person would I be though, if the most important event of my year wasn't talked about?! O_O
So, forgive my indulgence if you don't approve. But if it's a reminder for others of you who may have forgotten when it was...you're welcome! :-] ... Have a good day, Everybody. And a good evening. Don't forget to look at the full moon this evening...and remember. ♥

This I know!

I am breathing every morning,
moving limbs and reaching out.
And while my brain cells might be fuzzy,
of one thing I have no doubt...

I know I don't do this alone,
even though some don't agree
I know the fruit tastes good that falls,
but someone had to make the tree!

Another Pancake Sunday Breakfast Success Story!

Aren't they pretty?! :-) ... And, believe it or not, they tasted almost as good as they looked! ^_^ ... I'm only sorry that you all couldn't be here to have eaten a bite or two of them with me....Okay! That wasn't the 'total' truth...I'm glad I had them to myself!! If I had shared a bite or two with you all, there wouldn't have been enough syrup left for me to truly enjoy my bite or two! LOL

Although, I could've been a bad host and let you have a whole plate of your own...of the 'bad' batch that came off of hubby's skillet! ^_^

After I saw these, I fought him for the other plate!! LOL... I pretended to be the Baltimore Ravens...the winners of today's 'Super Bowl' game! ^_^ I love the San Francisco 49ers, but I don't think they're gonna even make a good showing today!...That's my story anyway. I'll let you know if I'm right tomorrow. ^_^ Either way, with all of the 'back stories' of the players (two brothers coaching the two teams, a long time player's very last game, etc...)...and the commercials, it's gonna be a hum-dinger!! ;-)
I hope I'm still awake for it after filling myself up on this 'HUMONGOUS' breakfast hubby made this morning!! O_O

If I ate all of the pancakes, ham, egg, and grits he made, I wouldn't be able to keep my eyes open this afternoon for the meeting, or be ready for 'kick-off' this evening for the 'big game'!!...Not to mention the homemade meal we had last night!...Chicken wings and gravy, brussel sprouts, and coconut cream jello pudding pie, with added coconut! ^_^

My nighttime photos of it don't do it justice...

But let me just say that with the added coconut...and the added whip cream...it was DELICIOUS!!!! :-] ... I may have to give up eating food for a week to get my palate ready for 'normal' again, but this weekend's food fest will have been well worth it!! ^_^

     Okay, I need to do a little crocheting, and take a nap before my meeting...For those of you who are Jehovah's Witnesses, enjoy the meeting today. The Watchtower is such good reminders!!! {For anybody wanting to read the article we'll be studying, go to jw.org and look up the Watchtower article entitled "Find real Success In Life".}
For those of you watching the Super Bowl game later.....ENJOY!!! :-) ...Everybody else...have a good rest of the weekend!! :-)

 This I know!

I am breathing every morning,
moving limbs and reaching out.
And while my brain cells might be fuzzy,
of one thing I have no doubt...

I know I don't do this alone,
even though some don't agree
I know the fruit tastes good that falls,
but someone had to make the tree!

Easy...QUIET!...Sunday Mornings

Do you have your cup of coffee or green tea in hand?!...Okay. I can talk to you now! ^_^ ... I remember Sunday mornings when I was a little girl in Georgia. They were the quiet times of my life. Quiet because my grandmother insisted on it being that way on Sundays! I don't know why. I suspect it had something to do with the way she grew up, of which I know hardly nothing!...Or superstititons, of which she had tons!...But whatever the reason, you could hear a pin drop on her old wood farmhouse floors on Sunday mornings...and you could hear her yelling from every room: "BE QUIET!" LOL
As a kid I remember being annoyed that we couldn't go outside and run around as usual, and that we had to take a bath, sit quiet, and listen to each other breathe! LOL...But strangely, now that I'm in my 50s, I still find myself seeking quiet on Sunday mornings...and sitting around listening to my husband breathe! :-) ...Note to self: Remind hubby that it may be time for a nose hair trim! LOL...Shhhhhhh!
As I was saying, I love quiet Sunday mornings...and especially sharing it with you! :-) I get to sit here rambling on if I like, I get to share the new poem my peacefully patient mind came up with, and I get to ask you...what do you do on Sunday mornings?!...Do you sit with your significant other reading the paper, studying, eating a little piece of toast and sipping on some coffee or green tea, like we do sometimes?!...

...Although this morning it wasn't toast for us. It was a boiled egg and an apple. :-) ... I was thinking of something much more substantial...

...but my body wasn't having that this morning. It was yelling: "QUIET!" Sounded just like my grandmother! LOL

Or, on Sunday mornings, do you have a big breakfast including biscuits and gravy, eggs and ham, homemade preserves and fresh milk straight from Petunia the cow?! ^_^ ... Wait a minute! That was "MY" Sunday mornings as a kid! :-) My grandmother was doing all of that "QUIET!" yelling from the kitchen, where she was slaving over the big breakfast to beat all big breakfasts!! :-)
By the way, at the same time as she was making breakfast, she was starting the meal for later in the day!...Georgia folk love a BIG Sunday dinner!...She would be cutting up collard greens, simmering meat, etc... for all of the people that "might" stop by during the day!....And somebody always did too! :-)
Or are you the kind of person that likes to take it easy on Sunday mornings, listening to soft music?...

Hubby and I have a meeting this morning. That's something else that we regularly do on Sundays...remember where we came from. And I'm not talking about coming from an old farmhouse in Georgia! LOL I'm talking about remembering our ultimate creator. :-) If not for him I would "really" be quiet on Sunday mornings!! O_O

    Okay...I'm off! Enjoy your Sunday morning...WHATEVER you're doing! :-)
