Sooooooo...How Is Your Middle Of The Week?!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/181759144/tanzanite-swarovski-crystal-choker?ref=favs_view_2

Soooooo...it's another Wednesday...or 'Hump Day'! :-) What are you up to today?!...Me?! O_O Well...at the moment I' watching tennis! ^_^ Svetlana Kuznetsova vs. Simona Halep. It's a match that was suppose to start over three hours ago, but it was raining! Ugh! Actually, it's raining here in Massachusetts too...or it WAS! We have a bit of a reprieve for the moment, but we're due to get walloped later tonight!
Surprisingly, it's not enough rain to put my joints and muscles into a spasm. So, I did my exercises, did some studying for the meeting this week, did some reading, etc. I was down-right productive!! ^_^
The choker in the header photo is just for YOU!! ^_^ There's no real reason to share it, except that I saw it...with it's pretty self!...when I was doing a quick scroll through the activity feed on Etsy a few minutes ago!...That'll let you know just how busy I was! LOL All I really was doing was wasting some time! ^_^ (Nice way to waste some time, looking at pretty things, don't you think?! ^_^)

I'm very excited about the quarter-finals at the French Open today! :-) Three of my favorites are playing!...Simona Halep, Gael Monfils, and my 'Baby Boy', Rafael Nadal! :-) ...

I believe that Svetlana Kuznetsova, Andy Murray, and David Ferrer are all gonna give them a run for their money...and it's gonna be fun to watch!! ^_^ Of course, I'm partial to seeing one of them in particular come through for sure!...

Yes! In tennis, I'm partial!! ^_^ What else do I have to do in the middle of the week?! LOL Have a good one! ♥

Why I Love Sports

When I see something done at it's best,
When I see the hard work and the skill,
When I know they could give it no less,
and if more could be given, they will,

When I hear in their voice the request,
to be put in, yes, even if ill,
When the time that they're spending is pressed,
and the love for the sacrifice real,

When the rules of the game they've addressed,
and for them, the price well worth the bill,
When I've felt them embracing the test,
then I love it, and I always will!

Sometimes Monday Brings Inspiration!

Happy Monday, Y'all! :-) Well...at least I hope it's a happy Monday! O_O My Monday just got started, and it's dark outside still!...and not because of the time. Unfortunately it's about to start pouring rain. And it's suppose to be raining until Wednesday morning I think. They have us under a flood watch already!!
Whatever the weather does today, I'm gonna be doing some crocheting though! I'm determined to finally get back on my schedule! I've been slacking off like crazy!...especially this weekend!...Part of the reason is just tiredness from hormonal issues...*AARGH!*...but the other part has been bad weather, which affects my pain level...especially in my hands and fingers.
But, come what may, I'm doing some crocheting today!!!...And I got some inspiration to get started on some crocheting yesterday. It was the black and white polka dotted vase! :-) ...

...I love the red dot on the side. :-) And the flowers too! :-) ...

Just as a general rule, I love black and white together anyway! But I love to see a little pop of red on a beautifully designed piece, like the bud vase above...

      ...Or the clutch purse below!...

It got my mind reeling about how to make a similarly inspired crochet men's boutonniere!! :-) Here's my version of black and white, with red...

What do you think?!....I LOVE the end result myself! But of course I would!! LOL...Just wait until you see the piece I'm doing today! I have another item of inspiration to work from. I'll show you tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I did crochet another item yesterday too. A green item. :-) It was before the black, white, and red inspiration hit me. :-) This item's inspiration came about when I was just using up some green thread I had laying around. I decided to do a woman's brooch...but a different design than I normally do....experimenting! :-) ...

Do you see the little triangle-like points?!...

      Kinda different, huh?!...

I'm not sure if I'm gonna make any more like this one, but I do like it!...Only time...and inspiration!...will tell! ^_^

Okay....off to crochet! :-) But first, let me say my congratulations to Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams. The winners of the French Open men's and women's final championships!!! :-) Woohoo!!!!!....It was all good....except for a scary incident with some men setting something on fire near the court during the men's match. O_O CRAZY!!!! But it was taken care of quickly. *Phew!*

         Have a good day...and a good week, Y'all! :-)

Today It's Just Gonna Be.......

I'm not forcing it today! I'm just gonna relax and go with the flow. After all...it's my Friday Virtual Date Night'! I'm allowed to just...'BE'...today! :-] And if you wanna join me, please do! It'll just be you and me....'being' us!
There will be no 'grown up talk' today. I'm gonna be and talk like a kid...'virtually'. :-)) In fact, I may or may not even be tall enough to reach any grown up subject today! LOL

Instead I'm gonna try on all the jewelry in my jewelry box that I haven't been wearing...all of it, if I want to! ^_^

      I don't think any of mine is as elegant as the two above pieces... O_O ...but that's not the point today, right?! I'm just gonna put jewelry on...and wear it!.....Whatever it is!....because......JUST because!...I love jewelry! ^_^ {By the way, YOU can wear whatever you want! LOL}

Also, because I'm not forcing it today, I'm gonna spend some time just sitting and staring out into the backyard. :-) It's a good time to do that too, because hubby's flowers are growing so pretty out there. He took these close ups of a couple of them yesterday...

Aren't they beautiful?! :-] ... They're relaxing me...and making me wanna chase the butterflies that have been flitting all around them in the backyard too!....Maybe today I will! :-) ...Why not?!

What else am I gonna do?!....Crochet, of course! :-)

I didn't do anything on my new crochet project yesterday. It required more brain power than I could muster. :-)) ...I did make some flower brooches though! Making them doesn't require any kind of deep thought anymore. I move my fingers and they almost make themselves! ^_^ I'll show 'em to you tomorrow...I couldn't muster up enough energy to photograph them yesterday either! LOL

And, seeing as it's Wimbledon semi-final time, you can just about guess what else I'm gonna be doing today, right?! ^_^ ... Yep! The same thing I was doing yesterday...every time my eyes opened I mean...(Oooo Whee! I was doing some sleeping!!)...watching tennis!

Yesterday it was the Wimbledon women's semi-final matches, between Angelique Kerber and Agnieszka Radwanska...(The photos below are from the Wimbledon Facebook site)

          Radwanska won.

....After that match, it was Serena Williams versus Victoria Azarenka...

         Serena won.

They were both good, but they were straight matches. Predictable straight matches...The men's semi-final matches today are NOT predictable!

The first match will be Roger Federer versus Novak Djokovic...And, after that, Andy Murray versus Jo-Wilfried Tsonga! {I'm still missing my 'Baby Boy', Rafael Nadal, being in it though ;_;}...This is gonna be good, edge of your seat, tennis y'all!!...If you've never watched tennis before, and you're wondering what the big deal is, today would be the day to watch and find out! ^_^

I picked a good day to just 'BE', don't you think?! ^_^ ... Now tomorrow I have to put my big girl....Well, you know what I mean...I've got to get back to the job of choosing my husband a gift, and cheering up a certain someone with some devastating news hanging over their head. :-( ...Like Scarlett O'Hara though, from Gone With The Wind, 'I'll think about that tomorrow...because tomorrow is another day!'

      Have a good weekend, Everybody!

Finally....A Champion Emerges!

It wasn't the Boston Celtics' time. :-( They played their hearts out last night...especially for the first half of the NBA basketball game...but to no avail. The Miami Heat were just too much for them! So I'm gonna be a good sport now and say congratulations to Miami, Dwayne Wade and LeBron James...Go Miami!! Have fun against OKC (Oklahoma City Thunder) in the finals, starting on Tuesday next week.
I'm able to brush it off a bit because I know that today I'll have tennis!!...'More' tennis, I should say. :-] The men's final at the French Open, with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, is gonna be played!! :-)
Today is one of the few days that I'm thankful to know that the networks will play the game LIVE on TV, and then will replay the whole match in it's entirety a couple more times throughout the day...because I have a meeting this morning at the exact same time that the game is gonna be played!...Priorities, priorities!! :-)
I have yesterday's match, between Maria Sharapova and Sara Errani, still in my head to hold me over though...

Sara was like a little fighting machine, shot after shot, but still...Maria kept coming.....forward....forward....forward!!

I think it became pretty clear after Maria won the first set, that she had waaay too much fire power for Sara to handle.

It was still a great match to watch though. Sara made it so...because she never gave up! She kept right on whacking away, adjusting, thinking and trying to figure it out. I'm gonna be keeping my eye out for her in the future because of it! :-] Good Job, Sara!

Considering the field you had to beat to get here, ending up as number two is not so bad! :-) ...I think the Bryan brothers, who came in second to Mirnyi and Nestor yesterday in the Men's Doubles match, would heartily agree!...

And "Good Job!" to you too,  Maria! :-) You were a great player, and now will no doubt be a great women's champion!...

       This win made her now the world # 1 and completed her bid as a Grand Slam winner! {By the way, all of the sports photos in today's post are found on the ROLAND-GARROS Facebook page --> HERE <--}

After today's Men's match I'm probably gonna need a big nap! I haven't been physically feeling at my best for a little while now, especially with the lack of sleep thing that kicked in out of nowhere! Grrrr!..and I barely slept again last night...up and down....up and down....Ugh!...

...but I've been kept company through it all by some focused prayer and study....and some crochet. And highly entertained also, by great sport. :-] It's been a really good combination! :-) ...Okay, off to get myself some breakfast and get ready for my meeting. Have a good day, Everybody! :-)
