Sweet 'Friday' Date Day...Shipped!

       What a wild Friday this has already started to be!!...That's why I'm so late posting today! O_O I won't get into the details, but here's the short story...custom order...sick friend...chocolates (hubby bought me some! ^_^)...date plans...shipping...etc...etc....etc!

      I'm looking forward to a quiet afternoon and evening with the hubby...relaxing!...and eating something yummy too, of course! ^_^ I'm not sure what that will be, but I'm excited about it! Food....good food...has that effect on me! LOL

     Before I go to get the REST of my day started, let me show you what the custom and sale items are that I've been busy with this morning....I sold this scarf...

      It was made with a specialty yarn that I bought from a shop on Etsy a while back. I loved the yarn, but it was VERY expensive! I didn't have enough of it to make a 'reasonably priced' scarf, so I paired it with some of my other soft yarn. I'm happy that it's off to a good home. :-) The customer said that she's had her eye on it for a while. :-) I love that!

        This is the diagram that another customer drew to show me what colors she wanted on her custom ordered scarf...

     Country blue and blueberry. I actually showed you this scarf yesterday I think...{by the way, the baby blue scarf is still in my Wuglyees shop HERE.}...I had to add a couple more blocks of blueberry to it....

      And now it's off to it's new owner already too! :-]

     Then I sold another black and white boutonniere to a repeat customer...

     ...and I'll probably be making him another one in a specific color he requested when he gets back from vacation! :-) That one will have 'mauve' in it!...I've already been practicing with 'mauve' :-)) Tell me what you think of these...assuming you care!! LOL...

      This one (below) is mauve with lilac...

       And this one is mauve with purple AND lilac! :-))))

      Yes! I do know that I'm going overboard! ^_^ That's what color does to me!!...But there must be somebody out there that likes these colors, right?!...I'm gonna put them in the shop later and find out!! ^_^ 

     I don't know why I never used mauve before!...And as it turns out....thank you Pantone!...I found out that there's apparently a lot of colors out there that I haven't used!! O_O

      I have never even heard of some of these colors, like 'alloy', 'monaco blue', linen, and 'tender shoots'!!...but I'm excited about trying to find them so I can!

     Okay, I'm off to have lunch with the hubby....*shaking my head*....LUNCH!! I can't believe it's that late already!!!...Oh Well, Have a good day, and a great weekend everybody!...and to my favorite people....you know who you are!! ^_^ ...have a great 'date night' too! ^_^

My Favorite People

My favorite people listen well,
and talk almost as good.
They like to eat good food,
and hang out in my neighborhood.

They like a chuckle now and then,

and no! they haven't all been paid!

Some 'favorite people' are, I'm sure,
still ones I haven't met.
But until then, my favorites are
ones owed a 'loving' debt.

They've loved me through some heartache,
and the hardest, roughest time.
They're my favorites for a reason,
and deserve this 'Debbie' rhyme.     

Shades Of Blue...And Banana Bread!

     "Wug!...You're not suppose to lead your blog post with your 'worst' photo!" LOL...I know! I know!...but since I couldn't get a 'good' photo of Tina (the headless model) from the backyard this morning...*It's very shady near the house, and too much snow to go out further!*...I had to get the photos I could!

      Can you see the nuances of the shades of blue in the scarf...country blue and blueberry blocks?! O_O ...Oh well, I'll have to take some more photos of it later this afternoon. {If you're looking for a scarf, you can check my Wuglyees shop HERE...Just saying! LOL}
        Let me show you some photos I took of it while I was making it though!...

       You can see the colors now, right?! :-] ... It's still not showing them perfectly, but better than that shady photo...for sure!
        I'm gonna list the custom scarf for the customer later on...It'll sit next to the other purple boutonniere I listed yesterday...AGAIN! :-)

      The only other thing I have to share this morning is....BANANA BREAD!! :-) ...

     My thoughtful girlfriend brought it with her when she came for a visit yesterday!!!...

 

    It's soooo good...by itself or, as I'm having it this morning, toasted...with a little bit of cream cheese on it! :-) YUM!!!....What is it with me sharing all of my food with you lately?! O_O
      Anyway!!...I'm off to do some shop listing and eat the rest of my breakfast! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!

It's easy rolling out our 'good'.
We do that every single day.
But Oooo! The 'bad' things we destroy
we quickly want to put away!

So, let's be bigger than our 'bad'.
Let's see some beauty in 'mistake'.
Let's give a pause to being 'perfect',
and give ourselves a little break!

Me And The Chickens...And Music!!

      I'm 'up with the chickens today', meaning that I got up before the sun did! ^_^ That doesn't mean I slept well though. Ohhhh Nooooo! O_O In fact, I have a headache and pains upon pains at the moment!! Usually that means that we're gonna get rain or snow! ^_^ My body tells the weather like that! But I'll have to turn the television on and check in a minute.

      Part of my earliness has to do with the fact that I have plans with a girlfriend today and I wanna be prepared....as prepared as an old paining lady can be these days! :-)) Part of my preparation involved making sure I got my blog up before she came! :-)

      There's no 'biggies' going on otherwise...except that my red and salmon orange boutonniere was chosen for a treasury! :-) ...

       I was gonna wait until tomorrow to show those to you, but.....I didn't! LOL It'll just have to be something else tomorrow....like, for instance, a certain blueberry and country blue custom scarf! ^_^ Yes! I finally got started on it! And, believe it or not, I think I might be through with it by tonight!! :-]

       With the big crochet hook I'm using, I'm ♫ movin'...movin' movin' ♫!!! Ha! Ha!...Moving so much that I had forgotten that I started another purple men's boutonniere the other day, and I didn't finish it!! ^_^ I saw it sitting there on the box last night when I moved one of the skeins of yarn...*shaking my head*...So needless to say, I'm gonna have to interrupt myself from the scarf and finish the boutonniere, and get it listed in the Wuglyees shop!

      I have to....because the purple boutonnieres seem to go out of the shop as fast as I put them in there!...The last customer that bought one emailed me to ask if I would like a picture of him wearing the boutonniere for my Etsy shop! I said.....Uhhhh.....well.......Uh, YEAH!!! ^_^

       As I've said in the past...I LOVE my customers!! :-)

I saw a documentary on our public access channel the other night about Paul Simon's trip to South Africa years ago.       Yeah, Baby!!...I'm eating leftover Pizza for breakfast! ^_^

     But not just any old Pizza! No!!...I'm having 'Uno's' Chicago style Pizza!...with the butteriest and most appropriately crunchiest thick crust on the planet!....sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, onions, and chunky homemade tomato sauce!!! YUM!! :-) ... Why did I have to share?!...

      ...If you were eating this right now, wouldn't you share?! ^_^ I would hope so!!

Salads; veggie, seafood, chicken.
Fried and floured, finger lickin'.

Hoagies, subs, and roast beef stew.
Catfish, dash of hot sauce too.

Pizza, mushroom, peppers, tomatoe.
Apple fries instead of potato.

Catch-up, mustard, condiments.
Onion rings? I'm on the fence.

Frosty, frothy, milk shake sip.
Coffee Coolatta, donut, dipped.

No matter if it's hot or chilled.
Definitely a happy meal.

My Team Is Out,.....But I'm In!!!!!

      I hope you all had a good weekend. I certainly did!! :-) I was a 'play-off football' watching, eating, and crocheting fool this weekend!!...And considering that my football team, the Dallas Cowboys (I'm talking U.S. football, Y'all! ^_^), is no longer in it....*Booooooo....Hisssssss*...I'm amazed at how much I'm still enjoying watching!!

     The reason may have something to do with my hubby! :-] We have a very friendly rivalry going between the two of us. Every team that he likes....I like the opposite one! ^_^ We've had some fun yelling at the television during plays! LOL

      For those of you not into sports.....I'm sorry. This post is gonna bore you to tears!!!! ^_^ ...because it's Superbowl play-off time...and I need to talk about it!! :-)) The Superbowl is on Sunday, February 3rd this year...I CAN'T WAIT!!! :-)

      There are only 8 teams left, and thanks to a few great shops I found on Etsy, including artmatryoshka with her 100% natural wood and paint Matryoshka nesting dolls, I can have fun telling you about them! :-)) ...In the NFC division the teams left are the...

     I'm into football!...I'm hoping New England stays in it right up to the Superbowl!! :-) That would be a great substitute for my Cowboys!! :-) ... But I'm also into other sports too...like, for instance, tennis. And guess what?!......*EXCITEMENT!!!!! ^_^*...next week, starting January 14th, is the start of the Australian Open Tennis matches!!!! YAY!!!! :-)

      What am I gonna do with my fool sporty self when football play-offs and tennis matches land on the same weekend?! O_O .... I know. I'm gonna channel surf back and forth all day, that's what!!!! LOL....I'm in, Baby!!! ^_^

      The other stuff I'm into is crocheting! And I did some of that this past weekend too!! :-) ...

      I made some three-color men's boutonnieres. This last blue, gray and white one is already listed in my Wuglyees shop --> HERE
