LOL But the header photo is of a mug so cute that I wish I had it to hold my coffee this morning! :-) Maybe that would've helped me have a better day...and then I would've been sharing the bag...or should I say 'bags' below...sooner! :-)

And just so you know, I don't have any monetary payback for sharing any of the Etsy items I share here! I just like to share stuff I like! ^_^ And when I'm feeling up to it...I just like to talk! ^_^

Do You Believe It?!.....I'm Done With The Hats!!

      I wanna start this Saturday post by saying a big 'WELCOME TO ETSY!' to Dee Dee of VintageRetroDelights!!! :-) Back when she used to blog regularly I was a regular visitor to her blog, to see all of her vintage items, views of England, and life! :-) But she doesn't blog as often anymore. Although I occasionally see her posted messages on Facebook.

      I'm gonna get to see her vintage items on more of a regular basis now, because she has opened up an Etsy shop! :-) The 1970's coffee pot in the header photo is one of the items in her shop right now! :-) I saw it and said to myself: "Wouldn't a large pot of coffee be good right about now?!"...I didn't answer myself though...because that would be crazy!! LOL And my mama didn't raise no crazy!!....Uhhhh...scratch that. Because that may not be altogether true! LOL...Moving on!!! Ha! Ha!

      Wanna see the hats I finally am finished with?!...And thank you for saying: "Yes!"...because in my head you always say yes!! ^_^ So here you go!...

       

      And, believe it or not, after three attempts at the red newsboy hat...the customer doesn't like it. :-( (That was the red hat...I mean cap!...And NO! I'm not gonna show it to you again!!!! Grrr!... O_O ...Did that sound 'huffy'?!...I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sound huffy. I'm just a little frustrated...three red newsboy hats later!!! O_O) I sure hope somebody likes them though, because they're listed in my shop, and they need to GO!!...so that I don't have to look at them anymore!!! LOL
     By the way, even though they were completely frustrating to make...the brim was, mostly!...they're still well made, and will give someone...ELSE!...immense joy to wear!! ^_^ I'm gonna be making flowers for a few days now. I need to get back to my 'happy place'! ^_^

      The customer, thankfully, loves the hot pink and the black hats! :-) ...

      I can't say I'll hate to see them go though. I'm 'hat OUT' now...meaning I'm done with hats for a while!! (You can take them off my hands HERE!) LOL {By the way, she just did!!}

      Aren't these the most adorable tags you've ever seen?!! :-) ... It was that time again, thanks to all of the lapel pin sales in my shop. Time to re-order my tags!
      The last ones I got from LillyThings were perfect!...

      I needed a bit of room inside to write my notes to my customers, and these folded out and were just the right size. In fact, I liked them so much that these are the ones I requested this time too...what can I say, I'm a girl who loves familiarity! :-] I also love not being sick...but since I can't have that right now, I'll settle for familiarity. ;-]
       Anyway!...I contacted Elizabeth, owner of LillyThings, and asked if she could "hook me up" with some more tags! She said to give her a chance to show me some choices...Great! I like choices! :-) In the meantime, I looked around her shop. What cute items she has...

      I decided to give away yet another afghan. And yet again, it's one of my Remnant blankets. 

     I saw a blanket pattern in one of my books a while back, and decided to do my own modified version of what it looked like....It's approximately 100 inches long {254cm} and 50 inches wide {127cm}...It has a lot of colors: Different shades of Green, some Watermelon, White, Beige, Pink, and Yellow...It's a great blanket for throwing across your lap to watch T.V., or to throw around you when you're going on a Hayride!....What?! You're not Hayride kind of people?! ^_^
     Anyway, the Giveaway drawing for this afghan/blanket will be on March 1, 2011.         In other news,...which some of you already know because I was so excited I couldn't keep my big mouth closed! LOL...I sold one of my flower brooches yesterday in my Wuglyees shop!!

   

      It's not a big deal to anybody else...Well, except the person that bought it! :-] ...but it's a big deal to me, because I hardly ever sell my brooches! I sell my necklaces, scarves, and everything else. But my poor little brooches just never get much love....until yesterday that is!! :-)
     And I got some more really good news too! From January 13th, through February 8th, readers of the About.com nominated their favorite Handmade Artisans and so forth. And guess what?!...My Wuglyees crochet shop was nominated in their 2011 About.com Reader's Choice DIY Fashion Awards!!
    Voting closes on March 8th for the 10 categories. I'm in the 5th category down: Favorite Handmade Artisan: Crochet Designs...at the top of the list. :-) And even though I don't have any delusions that I'll win...{Crochet Dude is already blowing me out of the water!!! LOL}..."It really is a honor just to be nominated"!!!....***I'm not turning down votes for me though people!!!*** Vote HERE!! :-)

Butterflies Are Free and......Changing!

     I thought this would be a good day for some butterflies. So, it's great that I was privileged to have my Butterfly Under a Wild Flower Necklace be included in this wonderfully curated Treasury by Etsy shop owner,  CinLynnBoutique!

      She entitled her Treasury "Butterflies Are Free To Fly.......Fly Away!" If you follow the link you can check out all of the other butterfly artists  that she chose. It's worth doing. Trust me!
    The reason I thought it was a good day for some butterflies was because of things that have been going on the last few days in my life, and because the butterfly kind of represents a lot of what I'm feeling and wanting to feel right now. Butterflies go through a big change in their life. From drab to beautiful in a short period of time. I'm going through a change too. I'm hoping my change ends up as beautiful as a butterfly in the end. Of course, my change is not physical...I sure wish it was!! (It's raining again this morning and I'm feeling every drip and drop in the achiness of my body.)
    What I'm going through is just some changes with my business. Decisions, decisions! And, along those lines, I'd like to say a big  THANK YOU to SnowFlakeDreams1, a wonderful Blogger friend who answered a tremendous amount of questions for me yesterday about the Craft Mall situation!!! She has made it much easier for me to know what direction I want to go in now. I'll be updating you on that in the near future.
    Butterflies are also kind of carefree, flitting here and there, never seeming to take themselves too serious. That's definitely me! Especially with all of the tennis I've been watching lately!! All of my Twitter Friends could tell you about that! I've been tweeting tennis matches for the last 2 weeks!! And it's not over yet either. The Men's final was suppose to be this past Sunday. It was called on account of rain. I waited all day yesterday to finally see it, and what happens in the 2nd set?!...It started pouring raining again!!!! So, it's suppose to finally finish today. The forecast looks good...but we'll have to just wait and see!! :-))

Shhhhh!...Quiet

The backyard is quiet...

...It appears that it got more rest than me last night. And guess what?!...There's no rain in the forecast for today. Hooray! It's suppose to be 87 degrees and beautiful!! Doesn't the backyard look happy about the news?!

   Even the trees are thanking the sky! *Teehee*...Can you tell that's I'm not completely awake yet?!

 But this little guy is wide awake! He looks like he's been hard at work for hours...

He's got breakfast already!!! I guess I better go and get mine...I hope the rest of this day stays this quiet!
