Waking Up To.........On A Sunday Morning!

        Usually I'm waking up on a Sunday morning to the sound of my husband's chit chat, and soft music playing...first, in my head, and then in the room. ^_^...But this morning I woke up very very early. Like...3:40 a.m.!! Hubby was sound asleep...probably still counting sheep! LOL

      I tried to lay there for a while. I thought about the last six granny squares I have to crochet in order to finish my little friend's blanket. I thought about my meeting at the Kingdom Hall today, and what my comment would be. I thought about what might be on tv if I turned it on. And then.....I woke hubby up! ^_^ I mean why should I be laying there enjoying all of that thinking by myself! LOL

      Thankfully hubby is always good for a conversation...even when he's half asleep! ^_^ But he woke up quickly. And before long we both realized that one of the things we both were thinking was that.......we were hungry! :-) Then we started thinking together.....about pancakes, and ham, and oatmeal, and hot tea with lemon. :-) And then we made it.....and ate it!! LOL

      Now we're sitting here watching "Dark Victory", with Bette Davis, while folding laundry. :-) I've already bathed, crocheted a granny square, and everything!...and it's only 7:30 a.m.!! :-) It feels like it's gonna be a very productive day!

      There is some 'not so fun' things that have to be done today. :-( Hubby has to clean all of his things out of the trunk of our car so that it can be towed to the junk yard this week....Yes. The car is beyond repair. :-( Apparently all of that time just sitting in the yard at his mom's house allowed a lot of time for rust to take over the exhaust system. BOOOOOOOO! HISSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Now it's gonna cost about as much as a new car in order to get it repaired.....and we can't even afford the price of a bottle cap!!! :-))

      Oh Well...feet were made for walking anyway, right?! ^_^

      Okay...I'm off to find something else to do with the whole rest of my day!...And it's a whole lot of it left, considering that it's only.....7:42 a.m.!! LOL

      *yawn*...I've been sleeping almost all day today. Or, as I call it, 'napping'! ^_^ Frankly, I was happy to get a long nap. I haven't been sleeping too well for a few nights now. In fact, I'm on my way back down for another 'nap' right now! ^_^

Let's Just Call This Post..."RED HATS And PANCAKES"! :-)

      Guess what I've been doing?!...no, seriously. Go ahead and guess! ^_^ And if you said: 'crocheting hats?'...you would be amazingly astute, and right! LOL
 

      This post is just photo after photo of the two red hats, now being worn my Tina...without her hair! ^_^ I know. It's a terrible thing to do to a girl, on purpose, for no noble reason at all...except to show off my hats! :-)) 
 

      But it just had to be done!! ^_^ I was after a 'fit' thing. I needed to know how they would look without long curls in the way....DONE!! :-)
 

      I finished both of the red hats, and a hot pink one, and I'm now working on the black one. I'm really just practicing the patterns right now...making sure I can work 'em.

      And frankly, I'm not quite sure if this brim is exactly right! O_O The pattern is almost impossible to follow when it comes to the brim. It doesn't give as much detail as it should, or a picture of how it's suppose to be fitted together! So I had to keep doing it over and over, and seeing which way worked!

      I'm gonna try one more red one after I finish the black one. I'm gonna try to 'fiddle around' with the brim placement a bit more....Although, I have to admit, I like it like this!!...
 

      I like it that it can be easily flipped  up or down, depending on the look you're after! :-]

      I do have a confession though....I don't love this yarn! O_O I sooooo want to try these patterns with my 'Caron Simply Soft'...and I probably will!! :-) I don't know how to explain it, about the yarn, except to say that this yarn seems too thick...or something...even though it doesn't seem heavy!
      I 'do' like that it clearly will 'snap-back' into place easier than my Caron yarn might, but my Caron Simply Soft is easier on my hands, and softer to wear, has a nice rich-looking sheen, and is heartier! O_O What can I say?...It's my favorite for a reason! :-))
      Now, if only I can find some Caron yarn with all of my good qualities...AND...some 'snap-back'!! LOL Until then I'm gonna just work up one of these hats with the yarn 'AS IS' and see what happens....I'll keep you posted. :-]

      In other news, my hummingbirds are still air-dancing. :-) ... Deer are still roaming through the backyard on occasion. (O_O And NO! I don't know why they just started doing that this summer!!!)... My dad and mother-in-law's health are worrying hubby and I lately. LONG story! Too long, and too involved, to try to explain on the blog without personal details that I really don't wanna divulge here! O_O You'll have to just trust me on that one!...and lastly, I actually had pancakes for breakfast this morning!! ^_^ Blueberry pancakes...and sausage!!...And it was DE-licious!!!!! ^_^ (Sorry...I ate 'em to fast to even think  about taking pictures of them!! ^_^)
      I even took a left turn on my regular hot beverage and had a large hot chocolate too!!! LOL Yep! I'm going all 'wacky-wacky'...food-wise...over here!!! ^_^ Okay, I'm going all 'wacky-wacky' in other ways too...memory...focus...timing...solitude!...but we won't talk about the other ones! ^_^ It's Pancake Sunday, so let's just stick to red hats and pancakes, shall we?! LOL...Have a good rest of the weekend, Y'all!! ♥

...And Sometimes Things Are NOT What They Appear To Be!

      I'm not talking about the coffee beans in the header photo. They ARE what they appear to be...coffee beans. :-) In fact, they look like they would be some really 'good-tasting' coffee beans!...Wish I had a cup right now! I really need to wake up!!!

      I think the cooler weather, and the serene backyard scenery, is lulling me into an attempted hibernation! ^_^ All I wanna do is sleep!...And I'm doing quite a bit of it too! I 'took a nap' yesterday, around 4 p.m., that was suppose to be NO MORE THAN a couple of hours...tops! When I woke up it was almost 8 p.m.!! O_O And believe it or not, by 10 p.m. I was back down for another 'nap'!!

      I only woke up a couple of times during the night....you know, because I HAD to! ^_^...and then it was right back to sleep!...And I didn't get up again until almost 7 a.m. this morning!!!! O_O I think I may be a bear!!...a real bear! LOL And considering my hormonal mood lately, my hubby would probably agree!!! LOL

      No. I don't look like a bear!....but sometimes things are not as they appear! ^_^ ...

      I used to have a silver necklace like this. Mine was a silver choker, with silver metal rods hanging down, on a gradating level like the amber stones above. It was so fun to wear!...Hmmm...I wonder where my necklace is now! O_O

     Looking out my window this morning, and seeing dark cloudy skies, made me wish that it wasn't what it appeared to be...but it is. :-( Rain is coming. YUCK!! All you have to do is look at the smiley face --> :-) ... and know that it is NOT as it appears to be...happiness. I AM NOT HAPPY about the rain!!!...Bears don't do well when they're wet...or arthritic...or moody...or hungry! ^_^ At least...not THIS bear! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!

Are they dying already?!!!

     I know...you're probably saying to yourself "Wug, why are you showing us dying leaves?!" ^_^ I know you're probably saying that because that's what I would be saying too!!...Well, let me tell you why.

     The reason is because I can't believe they're dying this fast?!! I mean...it's just the beginning of August! Summer isn't even over yet!...Yet already...while the hummingbirds are still chasing each other, and another set of hummingbird babies are no doubt in the works...the leaves are starting to show signs of Fall (Autumn)!!

     WOW! Out with the old, and in with the new....so fast!! O_O Is it just here in our area, I wonder?!
 

      Oh well...there's nothing I can do about it! That's the way life 'rolls'! ^_^ So, I'm just gonna get my mind ready to enjoy the un-obstructed view of my backyard trees, which are gonna be really easy to see pretty soon when the tree goes leaf-bare!! :-)

     And I'm gonna remember that no matter what happens, I'll still have foliage to look at...sorta. ^_^ Flower foliage!......of the crochet thread variety! ^_^ 

     Well!!...What kind of flowers did you think I'd be talking about?! LOL You know I'm practically allergic to the sound of my own voice!...not to mention being allergic to anything that's growing outside right now!!! ^_^
 

      Anyway! LOL...These are a few of my latest creations. I'm gonna list them in the shop later this afternoon.

     This morning I have some 'other', more spiritual, business to take care of! :-) If you lived in my area, or if I knew your phone number, you might have a personal visit! ^_^ So, I'm off to take care of that. I think it's gonna be a good day!...You have a good day too!!

Wouldn't This Make You Wanna Stop In Your Tracks And Look Too?!

       There are no words!...Well, for most people there would be no words! For me...there are ALWAYS words!! LOL...I LOVE Federikas!!!...*deep breath......breathe......continue breathing!* ^_^

       Truth be told, I have loved Federikas for years now. Her jewelry is one of the first things that ever popped out on me when I started to scroll the search on Etsy years ago! :-) But I hadn't peeped by her shop for quite a while. But when I saw these 'dragonfly necklace' babies...

     ...I had to stop in my tracks!! :-] ... You still got it, Federikas!! :-) {And these are only a few of her creations. I noticed in her shop that she's making rings now too!!...Go by and take a look...if you dare! ^_^}

       The amount of snow we got last night isn't gonna mess with people who are trying to stop in their tracks today. And that's a good thing!!...We were suppose to get anywhere from 4-to 8 inches...maybe. What we got was maybe...a quarter of an inch! THANK YOU!! :-) But even that small amount looks pretty on the trees in the backyard!...
 

        Maybe the birdies will be tracking their way back to the feeder today!...I miss my little 'chirpers'! 
 

     And I have to stop right here and thank my neighbor/girlfriend for tracking over some blueberries to hubby and I! :-)
