It's A 'Pink' Kind Of Day!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/182647947/common-redpoll-photography-adorable?ref=favs_view_1

There's not much going on around here, except that Daylight Savings Time has occurred. And for our area that means that none of the daylight is being saved from occurring earlier than normal around here anymore!! LOL It's getting dark so early in the evening now! Like, around five-ish!! O_O
All of those lovely pink hues of a late evening sunset...*sigh*...gone! Oh well, I'll just have to find my pink hues in other places!...

https://www.etsy.com/listing/126684360/pink-ballerina-dancer-original?ref=favs_view_3

Look at the lovely pink hues on the redpoll bird in the header photo, and on the ballet dancer's tutu in the beautiful watercolor print above. :-]

I'm working with some pink hues of my own...scarf-wise. :-] The scarf I was working on yesterday is all done now...

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?section_id=6006578&ref=shopsection_leftnav_9

And I've already started another one! ^_^ This one is gonna be in two shades of pink, and white. And it's superbly soft too!! In fact the baby pink is a kind of fuzzy soft yarn...

I love having soft scarves next to my face and skin in the wintertime. Don't you?!...

https://www.etsy.com/shop/wuglyees?section_id=6006578&ref=shopsection_leftnav_9

The crochet hook I'm using is the new bamboo crochet hook I got in the mail today...size 'P' (17). It's the size of my old wooden crochet hook that I was using as my scarf-making hook...the one I can't find! Grrrr!
The only thing I don't like about this hook is that the handle isn't long enough for me. I didn't realize it until now, but with my arthritis flaring up from time to time...including today!...having the longer hook was a way of resting the other part of my hand somehow...Don't try to get me to explain it, because I can't!! LOL I don't know how my hands 'work'. I just know how they feel when I crochet the wrong way for any period of time....OUCH!!
Unless I find my old 'Go To' wooden crochet hook pretty soon, I fear that it might take a bit longer for this 'pink-hued' baby to get finished!...

As with all things I talk about on this blog...I'll keep you posted! ^_^

By the way, there was no pink in this treasury anywhere, but I still wanna show it to you...

...because the curator was thoughtful enough to add my beaded button crochet brooch to it! :-) ... THANK YOU!! ♥

There's no other news to report. There have been no more coyote sightings. No mother-in-law moving in....YET! And no new dinner concoctions from hubby's kitchen! ^_^ There also have still been no sales in my wuglyees Etsy shop!! Ugh!........A pink grapefruit mimosa sounds good about now!! LOL

Daylight

Daylight, you bring such happiness,
shining on the Autumn hues.
And when you're gone, you leave more darkness,
bringing on some moody blues.

How could some light, or lack of it,
have me waxing poetic rhyme,
wishing for a place with celestial money,
so I could buy some Daylight Saving Time?!

Pink...Treasuries!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/189035250/back-to-school-crochet-miniature?ref=favs_view_3

Hello Saturday People! :-) I'm back with another couple of Etsy treasuries, some new items I've been crocheting...including a new hat!...and some flowers! Just what you would expect from a Wug on a Saturday, right?!
That cute turtle in the header photo, this bracelet (below)...

https://www.etsy.com/listing/122961980/silver-pearl-daisy-stretch-stack?ref=favs_view_2

...and my turquoise blue and white crochet necklace (below)...

...were all in this treasury (below)!...

...along with some other cute jewelry and flowers, which you can check out for yourself if you click the link above! :-] I particularly liked the hand-decorated wedding wine glasses! :-]

Sooo...what have I been doing with my Saturday?!...Crocheting and eating! ^_^ Eating homemade spaghetti with meat sauce, mint chocolate chip ice cream, etc. And crocheting some pink lapel pins, per request of a customer! :-) ...

He wanted pink. But I have three or four different shades of pink!! O_O I decided to just do two. The regular pink (above), and the baby pink (below)...

Before I made the lapel pins though, I finished this angel hair hat! :-) ...

It's a variegated blend, with black, white, powder blue, and pink in it!! :-) ...

The large pink button on the side was just for a focal point of interest....

Once again, my photos aren't doing it justice. :-( It's a lot cuter in person. Or at least I think so!!...And it's really soft and warm too!!

To continue my treasury theme, here's another one...with a different color scheme! :-] ...

My pumpkin colored boutonniere fit right in, don't you think?! ^_^

These things fit right in too!! (below) ...

As usual, I had to end the post with a flower! :-) ... Unfortunately, or fortunately...depending on how you look at things!...not much else is going on around here to talk about! I've talked about my hummingbirds until I'm blue!...and yes, they're still here. And still flitting and flying about! :-)
I've also talked about my food, my crochet projects, and my backyard raindrops. What else is there?! O_O ...Oh! I know!!...I organized my crochet items for my shop, so that they're easier to process for shipping. And I now need a long nap!! ^_^ See you tomorrow!! ♥

Artist's ROCK!

Their eyes see what their heart sees,
and in colors on canvas or in yarn.
You can see it in their photographs of foliage,
or the red and brown that's painted on a barn.

Their heart says: "This bead color's perfect!"
Then you see the artist's work on jewelry stands.
They recycle, mix the media and show you,
and collect a lot of now adoring fans!

Whatever medium they work in,
Whether working with their hands or just their eyes,
you can be sure they'll get some ogglers and lookers,
who, like me, will give them "Ahhhs" and "Ooooos" and sighs.

Upside Down, But Still.....Crochet!

I'm not gonna talk about why I'm so late getting started this morning, but YOU know!....Yeah, YOU know!! ^_^ I'm not gonna talk about it because that's not what I'm talking about this week! What I'm talking about this week is crochet, crochet, crochet!!

And along those lines...and nothing else,...especially nothing else about upside down sleeping issues!....Uh Oh! I just talked about it! LOL...Oh well, onward and crochet-upward! ^_^ I wanna show you a few of my new lapel pins and brooches.
I think I showed you this one. It's the one my hubby wants. I'm still debating on giving it to him. ^_^ I can make him ones any time...

But I've been crocheting a 'pink bonanza' of pins! :-) ...If you ever saw "Bonanza", with all of that land they owned, you'll get that reference. ^_^ If not, I've been crocheting A WHOLE LOT OF PINK! LOL

I made these three using some variegated thread...

This one (above) is one of my lady brooches with a few extra petals. I'm still debating about whether to put a button on it...What do you think?!

This is one of my regular 2-inch (or smaller) ones. (above) I advertise this size for men or women...but I don't know about this color for men...unless they're 'manly men' who eat quiche and wear what they wanna without shame! Ha! Ha!....Yes, it's early in the morning here. And no, I don't have anything alcoholic in with my green tea.

This my favorite of the bunch. (above) It has such a delicate look. And I can put any kind of button on it to appeal to men or women...for a wedding party, a special dinner, or something like that...I put brooch pins on the back of all three of these...

...I didn't want to put the fold-able pins on them, even on the ones for men, because of the pink. I'll have to wait and see who they appeal to most :-) ...But these weren't the end of my crocheting...I KNOW! Shocking, right?!...I did something yesterday besides....Oh, wait! I can't talk about that. ^_^

I love the iridescent looking button on this one. It's smokey gray and black.

This one is definitely for men. I even went ahead and put a button on the back of it. There's no turning back now! ^_^ ...Truth is, I felt pretty confident that this one would sell. I had a customer tell me yesterday how happy he was to find a black lapel pin in my shop. He said I would be surprised how hard they are to find!...I'm gonna try to make sure that they're a little bit easier to find from now on. ^_^

Okay, that's all I have for today. Tomorrow will be another day! ^_^ ...WOW! Now I'm quoting Scarlett O'Hara! I think it's time to go! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!....especially YOU crocheters!

 You Probably Don't Care!

I know you probably don't care,
but I will tell you anyway!
I mean, I have to talk about it.
It's what I do most every day!

I know you have your own things going,
and my things? You could care less.
But I have to spill it, talk,
share, converse, chat, or confess.

Don't you have some days like that,
when you just 'let down your hair'?
Well, today was that for me,
and it's okay if you don't care!

As you see, it didn't stop me.
I'm still talking, cracking wise.
You don't have to read about it.
You can cover up over your eyes.

Dreaming In A Pink Haze

I'm not gonna do a lot of talking this morning. I've got a few things to do before my meeting this morning...including getting another little nap! ^_^ Yes, the sleeping saga continues!
Thankfully though, I'm getting at least 2 hours of sleep at a pop...in between the 'eyes wide open' moments in the middle of the night!...*shaking my head*...And for last nights episodes I owe Donna Carrick a big THANK YOU!!
Because of her request about making a fuchsia dangle necklace for her, I had something pretty in pink to mentally chew on while I was awake, and to dream about when I dropped off for a few minutes. ^_^ It was much nicer to think about than my mother-in-law in her house with no hot water!...UGH!...Give me a minute. I'll tell you what's going on. First, let me show you the necklace I came up with for Donna! :-)

The bead dangle was the one I purchased from CinLynnBoutique just recently!...I wasn't initially sure if all of that gorgeous orange nugget was gonna look good under my tiny fuchsia crocheted flower, but when I got to work on it...they looked like they were made to be together! :-) There's even a little fuchsia striping going through the secondary rondelle bead (see the 2nd photo above).
I made it yesterday...listed it last night....and it SOLD before I got back to the shop this morning! :-] Awwww! I'm in a pink haze!...

I made three different necklaces, so she could see if any of them were sufficient. So now that she got the one she wants, I've got two other pink 'pretties' in the shop for sale. And they both have shells. :-) ...
This one has a rose shell...

...and this one has a shell too. A natural white shell...

Hopefully somebody will scoop these up as fast as Donna scooped up the other one! :-))

Now, as I was saying, my mother-in-law doesn't have any hot water in the house now. The reason is because of the gas leak. It was leaking from three different places in the house. One of those places is beyond the main cut-off somewhere. So a plumber would have to come in and fix all of the piping in her old house in order to repair it...and restore her hot water, because it's leaking  isn't allowing her to use her hot water heater tank!...Aargh! O_O
We tried to get her to come over to our house for a while...or at least to come and take a shower.....but No! She's happy as a lark, cooking in the microwave and leaving water sitting outside so it can be heated up by the sun, for washing with! :-/ What can I say...She's a woman from the South. She's used to getting by with whatever you have...For that matter, so am I! But I would never turn down a hot shower and a stove cooked meal!!! ^_^ ...She did let us share our dinner with her though.

And it's been decided. My hubby's brother, who owns his own home and lives alone, is gonna take Ma to live with him just as soon as they decide what's gonna happen with the house. Right now they're organizing and getting ready to sell any and everything they can in the house, so that Ma doesn't have to worry about it. And the few extra 'pennies' wouldn't hurt! :-] ...Anyway, she's not QUITE ready to go just yet!...But soon!

Okay...back to my pink haze, a little nap, a meeting, and then maybe a little pink key-chain and pink crochet ring too, to use up some of the leftover pink cotton thread I have. :-)
And here's a little 'Pink' for you too!... :-)

Have a good day Everybody! :-)

Ode To Flowers

Ode to all loved flowers,
whatever color, shape or form.
You enthrall with sheer delight!
At other times, make my heart warm.

Whether photographed or made,
growing tall out in the yard;
In a vase or porch-side planter,
or just naturally unmarred;

Please know you always make me smile,
and lift my mood when I am down.
The world would be a different place
without a lot of you around!
