Upside Down, But Still.....Crochet!

I'm not gonna talk about why I'm so late getting started this morning, but YOU know!....Yeah, YOU know!! ^_^ I'm not gonna talk about it because that's not what I'm talking about this week! What I'm talking about this week is crochet, crochet, crochet!!

And along those lines...and nothing else,...especially nothing else about upside down sleeping issues!....Uh Oh! I just talked about it! LOL...Oh well, onward and crochet-upward! ^_^ I wanna show you a few of my new lapel pins and brooches.
I think I showed you this one. It's the one my hubby wants. I'm still debating on giving it to him. ^_^ I can make him ones any time...

But I've been crocheting a 'pink bonanza' of pins! :-) ...If you ever saw "Bonanza", with all of that land they owned, you'll get that reference. ^_^ If not, I've been crocheting A WHOLE LOT OF PINK! LOL

I made these three using some variegated thread...

This one (above) is one of my lady brooches with a few extra petals. I'm still debating about whether to put a button on it...What do you think?!

This is one of my regular 2-inch (or smaller) ones. (above) I advertise this size for men or women...but I don't know about this color for men...unless they're 'manly men' who eat quiche and wear what they wanna without shame! Ha! Ha!....Yes, it's early in the morning here. And no, I don't have anything alcoholic in with my green tea.

This my favorite of the bunch. (above) It has such a delicate look. And I can put any kind of button on it to appeal to men or women...for a wedding party, a special dinner, or something like that...I put brooch pins on the back of all three of these...

...I didn't want to put the fold-able pins on them, even on the ones for men, because of the pink. I'll have to wait and see who they appeal to most :-) ...But these weren't the end of my crocheting...I KNOW! Shocking, right?!...I did something yesterday besides....Oh, wait! I can't talk about that. ^_^

I love the iridescent looking button on this one. It's smokey gray and black.

This one is definitely for men. I even went ahead and put a button on the back of it. There's no turning back now! ^_^ ...Truth is, I felt pretty confident that this one would sell. I had a customer tell me yesterday how happy he was to find a black lapel pin in my shop. He said I would be surprised how hard they are to find!...I'm gonna try to make sure that they're a little bit easier to find from now on. ^_^

Okay, that's all I have for today. Tomorrow will be another day! ^_^ ...WOW! Now I'm quoting Scarlett O'Hara! I think it's time to go! ^_^ Have a good day, Everybody!....especially YOU crocheters!

 You Probably Don't Care!

I know you probably don't care,
but I will tell you anyway!
I mean, I have to talk about it.
It's what I do most every day!

I know you have your own things going,
and my things? You could care less.
But I have to spill it, talk,
share, converse, chat, or confess.

Don't you have some days like that,
when you just 'let down your hair'?
Well, today was that for me,
and it's okay if you don't care!

As you see, it didn't stop me.
I'm still talking, cracking wise.
You don't have to read about it.
You can cover up over your eyes.

  1. You DO have to talk about it! And it's alright. We don't mind. I'm sorry the sleep issue is still an issue for you. Hopefully it'll get better.
I really love that black lapel pin with the gray button. I sure wish my hubby would wear something like that! He's got a couple of suits that it would go with. (shaking my head). He doesn't think outside the box sometimes. LOl
Have a good day. I have a lot to do today with my son and daughter in law coming this evening.
Say hello to Jeff for me!

    1. Ha! Ha! I Do. I DO have to talk about it, don't I?!! ^_^ ...Ooooo! Your son and daughter in law are coming! How exciting!! What a great weekend you're gonna have! :-)...About the button, I think that if your husband wore a lapel pin one time he'd get so many complements that he'd become a lapel pin wearing nut!!....So let's leave well enough alone...for now. LOL...Have a good day with your 'prep' fun, my friend! :-)

  2. Deb, wow you have gotten alot done. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't, but that is life. I know that by telling you it's fair week over here you will know exactly what I have been up to. Love all your work. I say put a button the one. Love your poem. Have a Great Day!!!!!!

    1. WOW! Fair week!...Yes, I know how much work you do for that. So you've been busy too actually! ^_^ ... And I wish I had seen your suggestion before I went over to the shop and listed the brooches. No buttons on any of them, but they're listed now. O_O ...Have a great rest of the day, Velma! :-)

  3. Thanks for featuring my artwork. I'm glad you like it!

I think the pink brooches are sweet. Love the variegated color. :)

    1. It was entirely my pleasure! :-] And thank you for the nice words about my brooches...Have a good weekend!

  4. I always love seeing your creations!
I need to find a poster: Keep Calm and Sew On.

Hope your days is going good.

    1. Awwww! Thank you, Priscila. :-) And by the way, there are a ton of "Keep Calm and Sew On" signs on Etsy!! Here's the link...
