Whatever...I'm Late Anyway!

       Hello!....Yes, I'm still alive! ^_^ I'm just really late getting the blog up this morning. I got up late...after a long, long night of sleeping. (I went to bed before 9 p.m.) And after I was up, hubby and I got into one of 'those' long conversations! ^_^ Then I looked up and...."WHOA! Look at the time!!!!"
       Now I truly do understand the expression about how times flies! LOL

      I'm not gonna be hanging around here long. I'm still nursing a somewhat uncooperative stomach. I'm gonna try to keep it on the 'low, low' today food-wise. I'm hunting organic apples and apple juice. YUM!!...Blech! LOL
      Thankfully, my mind is gonna get much better food than my stomach today...spiritual food! :-) In fact, that was part of what hubby and I were already doing this morning. We listened to part of a magazine article about the 'Sand Cat' on the JW.Org website. :-) Very interesting!...I've got to grow more hair on my feet! ^_^

      All of the clocks today are from an Etsy shop called walldecoration. I found it when I was trying to find some 'time' this morning. ^_^ The clocks are so interesting, aren't they?!...I figured I'd stop and show them to you because...

      My plans today include my meeting at the Kingdom Hall, apple sauce, hummingbirds, folded clothes, crocheted boutonnieres and brooches, lots of distilled water, giggles and a bit of reminiscing. :-) What about yours?!...Have a good one, whatever! :-))

Remember Being Little?

Do you remember being little?
Wish you could stay like that?
Playing 'Hopscotch' in the yard,
and dressing up in your Mama's hat?

Do you remember getting attention
just by smiling, being you?
Singing into pens and brushes?
Getting dimes for things you drew?

Do you remember flannel Pjs,
with the closed in, too warm, feet?
Or the shiny patten leathers
you couldn't play in in the street?

Do you remember bouncy curls?
Wish your hair would do that now?
Or your first grade stage performance
with your shy and humble bow?

Do you remember being little?
Wake up and wonder where you're at?
Make yourself go back to sleep;
Then dream the world is just like that?

I Thought We Needed Some Culture With The 'FUNNY!!!" Today!

I learned how to upload Youtube videos!!! :-) I hope, over the next little time now, that you'll enjoy the things I share with you because of it. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but felt like I'd better leave 'Well Enough' alone before I made my whole blog inoperable!! LOL
I shared my first attempt last night. I was surprised at how well it worked, although not perfectly. The second video was much larger than I wanted, and covered up my Wuglyees shop widget! LOL...WHATEVER! You could still see it! :-)
So, today I thought I'd try another one! I hope you enjoy the soft sounds of "Pachelbel Canon in D". After that I want to tell you the cute story of what happened last night. So, after you're all mellow and cultured, come read some 'FUNNY'! ^_^.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
...The phone rang. Hubby answered it. It was my dad's voice, in an excited tone, but in the background were also the soft voices of kids saying: "No, Granddaddy!!" Then my dad said: "Is this the Police Department?! I have some bad kids here I'd like you to come and get!!"
After hubby figured out who it was, and what he was doing....he played along! :-) My dad said: "Officer, can you come and pick up two bad kids from...(he said the address). The kids got really loud and said: "No,...is that really the Police?! O_0" {They sounded a little scared.} My dad said: "Yes it is. You wanna talk to him?" They said nervously: "Yeah."
Hubby, in a deep voice deeper than his usual deep voice I mean} said: " Who is this?! (Grrrr!) Did I hear that there's some bad kids over there?! Do I need to come and pick you up!!"....One of the little ones (one was about 4 and the other was about 6 years old) said, in an "Awwww!-I-know-who-you-are!" kind of voice: "Who are you?!!"
Hubby repeated what he said, and then.....the two of them started laughing hysterically! LOL In the meantime we could hear my father saying: "No, really, it's the police! You wanna go to jail?!" But they weren't buying his story anymore. 'Uncle Jeff' let the cat out of the bag with his bad police officer acting job! ^_^
We could hear that they were jumping all over my father, and giggling in that 'little-kid-belly-laugh giggle'. ^_^ My nieces love my father so much. It was cute to see that my dad had lost his fierce authority stance. He had it strongly in place when we were kids. But it didn't scare us for long either! :-)
He thanked Jeff for trying, and said goodbye. Before the phone clicked though, we heard them tussling and giggling like crazy, and heard my dad say: "Where's my rope?..." I'm afraid he can threaten all he wants. They're onto him now! :-) ...Just a reminder of why I am the person I am, and feel the way I do about myself. I had good 'Brought-upsy'!! :-) Sara Haze's song "Lovely" says it all.

Have a good rest of the day everybody!! :-)

Do You Remember Being Little?!

    This is a photo of the "Supermoon" setting over Hungary, the biggest full moon in 18 years. All the excitement and talk about it yesterday got me to thinking back to when I was a little girl. I remember my small town in Georgia getting all hyped up for weeks about the eclipse of the sun that was going to happen.
    I remember us kids being let out of school for the day, with dire warnings not to look directly into the sun or "YOU'LL GO BLIND!!!" And having to 'home-make' some kind of 'make-shift' glasses to look at the sun through...SO exciting!! LOL
       My girlfriend's daughter...who was visiting me yesterday...is about the same age I was when this happened. And she has the same wide-eyed excitement about things that I did. She also has an artist's heart, and loves to draw.
      We were sharing some time and looking online at different artists. I showed her one of my favorite children's art artists on Etsy, DUDADAZE. She loved it too! {All of the prints I'm sharing in this post, you can find in her shop HERE.}
      Do you remember what you were like when you were little?!...My little friend reminded me how excited I used to be about art and writing. How much I loved running barefoot outdoors, turning somersaults, dressing up in my mothers hats and high heels, swinging on the school-yard playground.....
      ...feeding and running after the chickens in the yard, milking the cows, going fishing, playing...
       ....even when I was sick!
        She also reminded me about how much I looked forward to my mother's best friend playing the piano.....Jackson Five and Donny and Marie songs....and how we used to dance around for hours.....giggling! :-)
      That was around the age I also developed my love of knitting and crocheting...the crocheting stuck!!! :-))
        With the news yesterday being full of political uprisings, bombings, missile strikes, planes being shot down, reactor meltdowns and earthquake aftershocks, I was thankful for the 'Supermoon' and an excited friendly young visitor :-] There was enough stuff going on in the world to be serious about on another day.
     Yesterday we just were 'little'! Hubby included. We spent the day looking at art, giggling, listening to music, eating, and looking at the moon. :-) {Hubby took these shots from the backyard last night. :-]}
      "Hello, Mr. Moon! You're the same one that was there when I was little.......I just remembered that today too."
