      Sorry for another late post. But this time it was on purpose! :-) I waited to post because I wanted to see if I was gonna get the results of my latest round of bloodwork...but unfortunately I didn't get them. Maybe I'll hear from the doctor tomorrow...I hope!...Besides...I was able to get in another afternoon nap in the meantime. :-) So all was not wasted! LOL 

      When I finally came online to do the blog post I was side-tracked from my original blog theme...showing you my latest boutonnieres and lapel pins. ^_^ Why was I side-tracked, you ask?!...Because I saw some napping paraphernalia! :-)) The pillow covers above (in the header photo) and below...

      They made me smile! :-) ... The clouds pillow cover especially, because our weather is starting to change outside right now...into a rainy cloudy sky. We're due to get some wind and rain starting tonight. Of course, I knew it was coming already because my joints were screaming at me......"RAIN IS COMING!!" LOL Oh, when I think about how I used to laugh at my grandmother when she said her corns were hurting, and she was sure rain must be coming! LOL...*shaking my head*..."Well, I'm not laughing now, Granny!!" ^_^

      Maybe I'll show you my boutonnieres and lapel pins tomorrow. Or maybe not! ^_^ Who knows what will be on my mind then!! LOL Whatever it is, I know I'll be hunting for a smile! :-) Speaking of which, here are my 5 smile-able things for today:

1. One of my 'Besties' sent me a letter in the 'snail mail'!! :-) She knows how much I like to put my hands on the paper, and look at the handwriting, and smell the print, and...etc. ^_^ And she also sent us a big surprise gift!! ♥ I love her!!!! She makes me smile all the time!! :-)

2. Pork and beans and fried spam...That is all. :-))

3. Pharrell Williams was on 'Good Morning America' this morning singing his "Happy" song. Oh! Watching the little kids dance to it really made me smile!!....and dance!!! ^_^

4. Hubby bought me some black and red embroidery thread today!! :-) A lot of it!!...Be watchful for upcoming flower pins! :-)

5. And last, but certainly not least, hubby got the new car (well, not exactly new) insured, and got plates for it, today!! :-) After a little spark plug and tire action, he'll be back on the road soon!! :-) No more huge work van. YAY!!!! :-)

Another 'Pancake Sunday' Has Flown The Coop!

      I know it's 'Pancake Sunday' in our house, but I wasn't in the mood for pancakes today. I was in the mood for chicken wings! ^_^ I know...crazy! But it's not that crazy when you realize that we had Chinese food for dinner last night...egg rolls, lo mein, and yes, chicken wings!! :-)

      So having them for breakfast didn't seem like that big of a stretch!...Go ahead, judge me!...as if you've never had leftover Chinese food for breakfast. Humph!! :-)) ... I know you have!!! LOL And guess what?...I put hot sauce on it too!!! ^_^ And I had a cup of coffee!...I'm just living dangerously up in here!! LOL

      Actually I'm just trying to enjoy my 'awake time' as long as I can. I slept most of yesterday away! :-] And the sun is so pretty in the backyard this morning!...Birds are chirping and pruning their beaks on the tree outside my window, and I can see GRASS in the yard. YAY!!! :-) I think the sunnier weather may finally be trying to hang around...even though it's due to rain tomorrow. Ugh! But at least it's not 'the white stuff'!!...I don't dare say the word. It might start sno......! OOPS! I almost said it!! ^_^

      Okay...I'm watching some 'Davis Cup' tennis matches on 'The Tennis Channel' right now. And this afternoon we have our regular meeting at the Kingdom Hall. If I can stay awake long enough, it might just be a good day! :-) I hope it is for you too!!

1. Sunshine in the backyard!!! YAY!

2. A blue jay flitting back and forth in the tree, even though the suet feeder hasn't had any food in it for at least 3 weeks now! (We're getting them ready for the transition to the hummingbird feeder. ^_^)

3. Leftover Chinese food, and hot coffee for breakfast...eaten with my honey bear. ♥

4. UCONN basketball...they won!...last night, and tennis on tv this morning! :-) Oh yeah, smaile-able!! ^_^

5. A chat with my sister this morning...she's coming for a visit next week! :-)

      It's a great day for faith, hope, and love...and a chicken wing or two, isn't it?! ♥ Have a good one, Y'all!! :-]

      I did a post late last night, so I'm not gonna do a lot of talking here this morning...and STOP clapping Y'all!! ^_^ But I did wanna say 'Happy Virtual Friday' to my husband. My hard working support system. ♥♥♥ He's had his hands full lately, but he's handling it like a 'trooper'!! ♥

      We're gonna just spend the day alone in a tent somewhere. I'm not gonna tell you where because somebody might show up and 'squash' our Friday vibe!! LOL As it is our trip might be delayed by another round of blood-work. But whatever! I can do blood-work now! Go ahead, white-coated vampires!! Take all you want...Uhhhhh...within reason! O_O

     I'm all about Friday...and Love...and Music...today! :-) And I hope your Friday has lots of the same! Happy Friday, Everybody!! ♥♥♥

An Update: Better Late Than Never, Right?!

      Sorry about the late post, but I wanted to wait until after the doctor's appointment. But things got difficult somewhere along the way...somewhere around the time I had to see the physical therapist.

      She tired me out!! :-] And the doctor's visit was after that!...And when I got through talking to him about the test results and so forth...I needed a nap!...A LONG nap!!...A long nap in a tent in the middle of nowhere...all by myself!!!!

      Oh, if only I could afford this tent!! :-) I'd pack it up and take it with me and hubby on our virtual trip tomorrow! ^_^ Sounds good, right?!...Going away on a virtual trip so that we can be all alone. :-))
      
      So here goes....The doctor says that the second round of blood tests produced a slightly higher sed rate than the first. O_O And my white blood count is elevated. O_O And some other stuff that I'm not in the mood to talk about right now. Ugh!
      I like to try to keep it positive around here, so I guess I can focus on the fact that while the doctor isn't sure what's going on, he does have a plan to try to find out. A plan that includes...*sigh*...another round of blood tests. He wants to see if the leg issue I have...that seems to be getting better (sorta, kinda)...is producing these results because of an infection or something that I might've had...That may be clearing up now.
      He's still concerned though because I'm just so tired all the time now! I mean REALLY tired! O_O ...About a half an hour after I get up in the morning I'm ready to snuggle back down for another six or seven hours, kinda tired!!
      WHATEVER!!...I'm sure it will sort itself out eventually. No sense in worrying about something I can't do anything about right now anyway! I'm just keeping the whole thing in prayer. If it turns out to be 'something' then I'll need to have strength to get through it. And if it turns out to be 'nothing' I don't want to have wasted a lot of worry time turning my insides out over nothing! ^_^
      Besides, I've got stuff to do!! ^_^ Like packing up an order I just got....An order for nine flower pins!! :-) It's from a repeat customer too!! ♥ Just when I was thinking I would crochet a few other things...for fun!...I get this big order and now have to fill the shop back up!! ^_^
      I can still dream about new projects though!...

      Oh Yeah...5 things to smile about today:

1. I had a funny conversation with the doctor, or should I say...I found out my doctor has a sense of humor! ^_^ I said to him that it's too bad humans aren't like televisions, so that when something goes wrong with them health-wise all we'd have to do is turn to the channel that has your symptoms and the diagnosis would pop up...with ways to cure it. ^_^ He responded, without missing a beat, that humans 'are' like televisions....We just have 800 channels. LOL

2. Andy Griffith Show and Bonanza reruns never get old! :-) And they are great companions to nap by.

3. There are robins in the backyard again. :-)

4. My husband has been so loving and attentive today. It was funny watching him talk to himself after the doctor's visit..."What is wrong with that doctor anyway?! Grrrr! He didn't wash his hands before he touched your leg!......" ^_^ I was in the other room smiling....while I was almost in nap-land. :-)

5. I finally got my pork chop!!...and it was DE-licious!!! :-)

Butterfly-ish

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna flutter...move real slow.
Wanna wander...mind and body.
Not be fast, and 'on the go'.

I'm feeling like I need
a quiet day to hang around.
Have everything wrapped up,
and just block out surrounding sound.

      *twiddling my thumbs*...♫ hmmmmmm hmmmmmmm ♫ ...You know what this means, right?!...Uhhhh...there's nothing new going on. ^_^ So I'm just popping in to say "Hi!"...and to show you a couple of cute things I saw on Etsy this morning....Starting with the cute blanket in the header photo! :-)

      I saw it and thought how cute it would be to have people coming by to visit your new little one, and have 'little Johnny'...ummmm...'TALK' to them from the crib! LOL Well...sorta, kinda talk to them. You know...just say: 'Hi!' ^_^

      Considering the fact that I've never had any children myself, I'm really fascinated by baby items, aren't I?! ^_^ I think it's because I've walked, burped, sang to, and rocked a lot of babies in my life! And my relatives and friends were very thankful! LOL Especially one particular friend who had twin boys who were restless, non-sleeping, cryers! YIKES! But for some reason when she gave them to me...one in each arm, like little footballs nuzzled up under my chin :-)...and I rocked and hummed to them...THEY STOPPED CRYING IMMEDIATELY!! O_O More than that...they went RIGHT TO SLEEP!! ^_^ 

      I remember one particular night...it was late...when she came over to our house with the twins all bundled up in their little coats and hats...screaming at the top of their lungs!!...while she was sobbing uncontrollably! O_O She had been up for hours trying to quiet them, and they were having none of it!!...I was half asleep, but I went into my 'baby whisperer' mode...and withing 20 minutes everybody was asleep!! ^_^ Including their mom!! LOL It became a true 'sleep-over'...literally!! ^_^

      Anyway!...on to another cute etsy item! :-) ...

My empty stomach's grumbling
was as noisy as could be!
So demanding in it's urging,

I awakened to it's music,

I tried to just ignore it,

I'll direct some food into it,

Forgive Me For My 'TALKER' Being On The Blink!

      Look at this, Y'all! Two posts back-to-back!! ^_^ Yes, my 'talker' is getting back in shape! :-) I knew for sure this was the case when I woke up early this morning and I was mulling over lines to a new poem in my head!...I didn't write it down, but I'm happy to know that my words are now trying to get out again! ^_^

      My personality is still being worked on though! I know that because I said something to hubby this morning...something that I can't repeat, and don't want to repeat here on the blog, out of shame! O_O...and hubby said: 

        "Sooooo...what fruitage of the spirit are you working on today?...Orneriness?!" (= bad-tempered and combative. With synonyms like grouchy, grumpy, cranky, crotchety, cantankerous, and ill-tempered)...Uhhhhh...OOPS!! O_O ... *snaps finger out of disgust with herself!* ..And I did so good with self-control yesterday!!!...Oh well, back to the fruitage-of-the-spirit drawing board!! :-]

VERY early!...and that I have another doctor's visit later in the week. Other than that...it's all a big ball of mental mush!! LOL

Mixed Report...Of The Weather And Me!!

      Hello from 'rain and snow mix' central! :-) Or as hubby and I call it, 'sleet meets mess' central! LOL...Do I dare go missing for days on my blog and then come back and talk about the weather?!.....Yes!...I dare! ^_^

      I'm not complaining today though! I told hubby that I was gonna pick a 'fruitage of the spirit' to work on today. (Galatians 5:22, 23 = "...the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control.)  The one I'm working on today is self-control...i.e., I'm gonna control my tongue from complaining. Or should I say...that's the aim! :-)

      In solidarity hubby decided that he's gonna work on patience. :-) Of course, if I'm not gonna complain, his working on patience oughta be a piece of cake!! LOL I'm the one that complains his patience away!! LOL...Whatever!! ^_^

      In other news: I am still alive!! :-) I still don't know anymore, health-wise, than I did the last time I posted...even though I've seen many nurses, and the doctor, and am due to see more of them this week!!...My body is a puzzlement right now. And as many tests as there are that say all is well...there are as many weird things going on in my body! ^_^ The good thing is that whatever it is doesn't appear to be life-threatening. Unless strangling doctors and nurses is considered life-threatening! LOL

      I've been feeling good enough to crochet a bit. YAY!! :-)I made a few tiny lapel pin brooches that I plan to list in the Wuglyees shop today...

      I listed a tiny white one this morning already.

       And I listed these flower pin boutonnieres yesterday!...
 

      The white boutonniere sold last night...along with a black and white one too! :-) YAY! I'll be making new ones today to replace them.

      Well, other than these few things, nothing else is going on around here...except for a really cute new etsy shop I found!! :-] I'll share a few of the items that caught my eye tomorrow....And yes! I think I'm back to my daily posts now. Don't quote me though, just in case! LOL

The changes to my schedule
and responsibility.

I'm not complaining...Well not much!
This change is good. I will adjust.
