I'm Still Showing Off...Stuff! :-)

      I 'was' gonna start this post by saying something amazingly clever, like: 'No, I didn't 'leaf' for good! I'm back...pack!' :-)) But, as you can see, I thought it might be too 'cheesy'...so I decided against it. LOL Instead I just figured I'd show off this cute back-pack instead! ^_^

      It reminded me about how much I love the Fall (Autumn)! :-) Although Fall is fast disappearing!! O_O In fact, in our neck of the woods, it's starting to feel like Fall is being wrestled to the ground, and is about to get the 1-2-3 from winter!! O_O Our local forecast says that we're due to get 6 to 10 inches of 'the white stuff' starting tomorrow afternoon into Thursday! O_O *gulp!!*

      It's a good thing I have lots of reading material, yarn, and food!! ^_^ ... Speaking of yarn, look at these colorful crochet hooks I saw on Etsy!! :-) ...

      You'd just have to make something big and happy-looking with those 'cuties', wouldn't you?! ^_^ 

      And...yes, I'm gonna say it!...speaking of big and happy-looking.....it's a castle (below)! ^_^ ...

      Well...not an 'actual' castle! But the kind of castle I know my husband would love! A castle with compartments for......STUFF!! ^_^ I'd be happy if it just held his keys!...Oh! The time we've spent looking for his keys!!!!! LOL

      And just so you know that I haven't changed who I am, here are a couple of things I've been working on lately! :-) ...

      Mostly though, over the last week or so, I've just been crocheting custom orders and delivering them! :-) A bunch of scarves and hats, and some hooded wrap scarves...like this one I'm working on below...

      It's nice to be busy...CROCHETING!! :-) With all of the loud cricket sounds in my shop over the last year, I was starting to think that maybe people weren't interested in crochet items anymore!...But seeing the orders coming in...OFF-line!...I'm beginning to think that maybe I've just been focusing my energies in the wrong place!

      It's kinda sad for me that my shop isn't getting the traffic it used to. I LOVE my Etsy shop! But I can't keep spinning my wheels where nothing happens. I can't afford to!...So, more and more, I'll be focusing my marketing off-line. It seems to be more productive. At least it is for now! Who knows what will happen later! I 'do' know that I won't have the time I used to. I hae a list of items to make right now!! A scarf...another scarf...a hat...another scarf.....and some more hats!! :-) Now you know where I've been!! ^_^

      I do miss running my mouth as much though! :-)) Along those lines, I think I'll be selling more of my poems too! Maybe in handmade book form. But that's still up in the air. I'll keep you posted....For now, I'm off to 'crochet-ville' again! ^_^ Have a good rest of the day, Everybody!! ♥

     

Butterfly-ish

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna flutter...move real slow.
Wanna wander...mind and body.
Not be fast, and 'on the go'.

I'm feeling like I need
a quiet day to hang around.
Have everything wrapped up,
and just block out surrounding sound.

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna lay in bed till noon.
Wanna have some time to morph.
Need a tree and a cocoon.

Tomorrow they'll be time
to change and modify.
To spread my wings, add color,
like a brand new butterfly.
