Mama's Got A Brand New Bag!...But Not Mine!!

     So, here I am again!! ^_^ But I have to apologize to you that I'm not back with my finished crochet tote bag!...Sorry. I had a glitch in the plan and ended up visiting with some friends, and watching tennis instead. ^_^ (Go, U.S. Open!!!)

     But I 'AM' sharing a tote bag!!! Just not mine! ^_^ This rainbow tote is from another shop on etsy. When I saw it I smiled! :-) And, of course, if it causes a smile it's worthy for the blog, right?! ^_^

 

      I love that it has all of that wonderful color! And all of that wonderful texture! And all of that wonderful slouchy style!! ^_^ And a FLOWER!! :-) 
      My tote bag is all green. But this bag is making me think...maybe my bag needs a colorful flower too!...Don't you love it when you get inspired from someone else's creations?! ^_^ Hopefully I can finish mine tomorrow...if there's no other distractions!...besides tennis I mean. LOL Or hummingbirds!!
      The hummingbirds have been 'swarming' the feeder! I can't tell if there's a big battle going on, or a big date trying to be made! ^_^ They were very entertaining for my visitors too! It was like having a wildlife episode right outside the window while we were talking! :-) Although, there was a lot of repeating of conversation in between shrieks of: "Did you see that?!!!"...and..."Here they come again!!!" ^_^

Just A Quick Shawl Post!

      This is just a quick post today, to show you the beginnings of my new bridal wedding shawl! :-] It's very time consuming, but also very lacy and pretty!...
 

      I don't have a lot of time to chit chat today. I'm about to get started on a multiple item custom order, and I'll be face-down into the crochet all day today and tomorrow I'm sure! I'll try to share it with you at some point...if it happens, that is. I'm waiting for the details from the customer right now.
 

      Hopefully I'll get to come and do some talking soon. I've got all kinds of stuff to talk about, but no time to do it! ^_^ Such is life, right?!...Have a good day, Y'all!!

Blue On 'Virtual' FridayDate Day!

       All you have to do is look at that beautiful beach scene in the header photo and you will know what's on my mind this morning. :-) Friday...Virtual...Date...Day!!...I have been waiting for Friday to get here!!

       What do I plan to do today?! And where are hubby and I going on our date tonight?!...That's for us to know, and for you to find out! LOL...Sorry. My pre-school brain was hollering at me, and I just had to respond!! LOL...The truth is...I'm not sure where we're going! ^_^ I put my desire in the hat for somewhere warm though! Hubby is in control of bringing it all together. I'm sure he will!

      So, while I'm thinking of blue skies and blue water...instead of the 4 degrees we're having here in Massachusetts, and the hour of sleep I'm gonna lose this weekend (Daylight Savings Time)...let me give 'you' some blue to look at too!!...

Tuesday...Chocolates And A Movie Day?!!

        Hello, Y'all! :-) ... Don't you just love this little teddy bear plaque?! ^_^ It reminded me of my 'Baby Wuglyee'! :-)) And he's doing the same thing that me and 'Baby Wuglyee' are doing now too...because of the weather!...*Another 3-5 inches of snow today! UGH!!!*...He's ♫  'putting his arms in the air, and waving 'em like he just don't care!' ♫ LOL

      We give up!!!! Ugh! What do you want us to do, Mr. Snow?...Get down on the ground?...Put our hands behind our back?...Walk a straight line?...Close our eyes and touch our nose?!....What?...WHAT????!!!! ^_^

      Here's what ther backyard looks like right now...just as the new snow is starting to fall....Ugh!...

      We have snow...We have ice...We have ice under snow...We have ice on top of snow!!!...After today's snowfall, we'll have ice under snow, and ice on top of snow, and ice under snow and on top of snow, and snow on top of ice and snow!! LOL...Thus, a good day for chocolates and a good movie!! ^_^
      I've already been looking through the movie listings...Hmmm...What shall it be?!...I know what it 'won't' be! It won't be any movies with snow in them!!! LOL No "It's A Wonderful Life" or "Ice Age"!!!...I've got enough of that to see right here!...

      I could handle a chocolate 'Mounds' bar, and "Finding Nemo"! :-) I don't mind a movie with lots of water!! ^_^ In fact, a movie with some happy talking fish might be right up my alley today!! ^_^ 


      

I see that "The Rainmaker", with Burt Lancaster and Katherine Hepburn, is in the movie listing too!...Hmmm...it's a movie about water...well, rain...but there's hardly any water in the whole movie!! LOL...Whatever! A movie about water, that has no water, would still be a good snow day, with a lot of snow, movie to see! ^_^


      

And Oooooo!...."The Notebook" is on today too!! :-) ... Water?!...Yep!...and a little bit of snow too. But it also has swans and stuff! :-) ... Let's face it...it's  just a good 'lay-around-on-a-snow-day' kinda movie. :-)


      

Now all I have to do is get me some chocolate...and I'm good for the day! :-) Well, except for the cold I seem to be fighting...*drip, drip, drip*...What?!...You knew it couldn't be ALL good, right?! ^_^ ... Anyway!...Have a good snow day...or whatever kind of weather day you're having...Everybody! :-)

Pancake Sunday...With A 'Fishy' Twist!

     Ahhhhhh!...Sunday!...Quiet time to sit myself next to the window, watch my hummingbirds, and have a hot cup of green tea. :-) ... But wait! This isn't 'Green Tea' Sunday! It's 'pancake' Sunday! :-) So let's have some pancakes, shall we!!...
 

      I'm showing you my pancakes without the syrup poured all over them already, because some things shared with you on the blog this early in the morning would just be cruel and unusual punishment to your eyes!! LOL
       And when you 'sea' the 'food' I'm having with my pancakes this morning you just might think that it's cruel and unusual punishment to my stomach!! ^_^ It's....

      I know!.....weird. Well, weird for some people! ^_^ Hubby and I don't eat meals according to the norm most of the time anyway!...so fish sticks and eggs, with pancakes, is not so unusual for me!...The fish sticks are all 'me' though. Hubby is allergic to some fish products, fish sticks included, so when he was bringing me breakfast in bed....YES HE DID!! ^_^...the fishy sticks were held at arm's length....sorta like '10-foot-pole' distance!! LOL
      

     Ummmmmmmm!.....fish sticks, eggs, AND pancakes!! :-) Are you drooling.....or horrified?! ^_^ Whatever!!!!!...You enjoy your breakfast...oatmeal, grits, Pop Tart, toast, omelet, donuts and coffee, bagel, yogurt, waffles...sausage McMuffin...boring! ^_^...and I'll enjoy mine!! (Just kidding!...I'm good with all of those things too. Just not this morning! ^_^)

Happy Hump Day...Wednesday?!

     It's Wednesday!!...Hump day, as some call it. :-) It's like going uphill Monday and Tuesday, having Wednesday as the hump in the middle, and going back downhill to Thursday and Friday! :-) ... Hmmmmm...what about Saturday and Sunday?! O_O ...Wouldn't having seven days of the week make Thursday the hump day?!...Although if your week starts on a Sunday, then Wednesday 'IS' hump day!! ^_^ ... Oh Well, that's a dilemma for another day!...I'm just trying to wake up here!! :-))

      Other than that, it's just me trying to stay cool, keep the allergens out of the house...*Achoo!!*...(The nice lady is coming to clean the house today, so I'll be 'Achoo-less' shortly! ^_^)...eat good stuff, and get as many naps as I can!! ^_^ 

     This is the time of year I start to reminisce about being a kid...Wearing my sun dresses, and going bare foot everywhere. Chasing down the ice cream truck. And hoola-hooping!! :-) ...

Thankfully There's Color In The World...Once You're Awake I Mean!

      I'm gonna try my best to keep it positive today. No easy feat, considering that last night was night two of the sleep study....By the way, calling it a "sleep" study may be a bit misleading!...at least it is in my case...because "sleep" is not what I'm getting most of the time! What I'm getting is tired-er, more aggravated, and annoyed!...In fact, in my case they should call it a "Stay-Awake, Annoy-Your-Husband, Stare-At-The-Wall-Till-All-Hours" study!! Grrr!
      Wait a minute! I said I was gonna try to keep it positive! ^_^ In that case, scratch that first paragraph and just stare at my sweater blanket! :-)

      I just added my next color. It's the first color I started with in the middle. I figured I'd better work with the colors I have on it already and not start any more. They seem to be working. And I know how quick one extra color can make "good" go straight to "weird"! I'm stopping at 'good'! LOL

       In more positive news, I added two new re-fashioned brooches to my shop yesterday...

      Look at that gorgeous raspberry truffle Czech Glass and fire agate dangle, and that pretty yarn too! :-)

      And I also added this brick red flower dangle, with a copper resin bead dangle...

       I think they'll make nice additions to coats or pocketbooks or whatever!...Now, Is that enough positive for you?!...I hope so, because the next few pictures, unless you're hankering for some rain in your area, are not gonna seem all that positive! ^_^

      This was our backyard practically all day yesterday!...

      And yes....that "IS" a puddle!...A huge puddle. The first puddle of the season...That lets you know how hard and fast the rain was coming down yesterday too!

      The hummingbirds were waiting it out in the tree...while we were waiting it out in the house!

        More rain is due today....all the way up to Thursday even!....Ooooo! A rainy day for our anniversary!...Great! That'll make our "virtual" trip that much better! :-)

       I'm "positive" that it's gonna be an interesting week!....I'm thankful I'll have color to look at in the house....in the form of a rainbow sweater blanket. :-] And maybe I will have gotten some sleep by the latter part of the week too. Tonight is the last night for the so-named 'sleep' study.
       I have a meeting this morning. I just hope I can keep my eyes and ears open! O_O I'm sure I'll get some help! :-] ... Have a good day, everybody!

Could These Be The Sleeping Pills I Needed?!

      I am in shock that it's the time the clock says it is!! I feel like Alice in Wonderland or something. Like I went down a rabbit hole into a world of sleeplessness...and all of a sudden I woke up into a world where I can't get enough of it!! LOL

      I'm not kidding!...Day before yesterday, just out of the blue, my mind said: "You're sleepy. You should take a nap."...It was 10:30 a.m. when it said that.....So I did! And I woke up at around 5:30 p.m. O_O I didn't get excited because I thought it was probably just a fluke after days and days...or weeks and weeks (I've kinda lost track!) of not sleeping!!

      Then yesterday my mind said: "I think you need another nap."...And just so you know, No! I'm not actually hearing voices! LOL It was just sort of a strong feeling that I translated into words...Anyway, I laid myself down. It turned into a four hour or so "nap"!

     I woke up in the early evening, still feeling like I could sleep some more...but I didn't dare allow myself to go back to sleep! If I did, I was sure that it would mean I'd be up all night again! O_O So, hubby and I got some things done, giggled our way through writing an update to our 'couples blog',...By the way, do you follow our blog?! If so, sorry it's so long between postings. We do it when the feeling hits us...If you wanna follow it, click --> HERE <--...Then we had a late dinner, took our vitamins and went to bed.

      It was now about 10:30 p.m. After a kiss goodnight, and a back and body rub...(hubby does this every night for me, to help my circulation and to relax my muscles)...hubby, as usual, went immediately off to dreamland. I laid there for a few minutes blinking and breathing into my C-Pap machine. LOL

      I turned the T.V. to the music channel, hummed some Stevie Nicks, and the next thing I knew.....it was 8 O'clock.....this morning!!!! I remember waking up around 2 O'clock, blinking a few times, and then resetting the timer for the music channel. One hour please! ^_^ I'm wide awake right now....behind time on doing my blog, but awake! Relaxed. Rested. Ready to go!! ^_^

      This sudden sleep bonanza has me wondering what I did differently to start getting all of this sleep. The answer?...Hubby bought me a large bag of M&Ms with almonds the other day, and I've been snacking on them all times of day and night...Could M&MS be the sleeping pill I've needed all this time!! LOL If so...well, alrighty then!! Point me to the candy aisle!! ^_^

       I know, I know! It's probably got nothing to do with the M&Ms....but I'm gonna stay stocked up with M&Ms with almonds anyway.....just in case! ^_^ ...Speaking of candy, I finally listed my candy holder slipper in my shop yesterday...HERE... and as an incentive to get somebody to buy it, I'm throwing in a large bag of fruity tootsie rolls (the ones shown in the photos). I Google searched yesterday to make sure I could send candy in the mail. ^_^ I can!!

      Now....just because I feel kinda guilty being all awake, and talking your heads off and everything, I'm gonna share a couple of Etsy finds to break up the monotony. ^_^ Enjoy!!
