It's Doctor Appointment Time!

       Yeah, that's what I'm doing today! O_O I'm gonna get all my body systems checked for efficiency! LOL...Doesn't that sound better than 'I'm gonna let the doctor poke and prod and see if I'm done for'?! :-))

      Okay, so it's not that dire...or at least I hope not!! ^_^ But I do have a few things to ask him about. Things that are a bit different from last year's visit...I'm actually considering making a question list. You know..."Doctor, is my hitch suppose to get-a-long like this?!"..."Doctor, how long can I expect this menopause to pause?!" ^_^

      I've had a busy, busy week already! And tomorrow I have ANOTHER appointment!...*sigh*...The only thing good about it is that next week I can sleep all day every day if I want to! :-) Or crochet until my fingers fall off!! LOL

     Am I the only one with doctor's appointments and stuff?!...No. Do you need to hear about it?!.....No! But hey! You were here!! ^_^ And I had to talk about something, right?!

      I would tell you about breakfast...but I haven't had any yet!...I could've told you about my latest crochet project...but you know it's a boutonniere! ^_^ And with the way things are going in my Wuglyees shop right now, I'm spending a lot of time crocheting the same colors over and over. Not that exciting for conversation. :-]

    Maybe tomorrow I'll tell you what the doctor found when he checked under my hood! LOL I'm sure I at least need a quart of oil and some new spark plugs! LOL...Wish me 'Happy Waiting'...because I'm sure I'm gonna do a bit of that today!...Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

I want to do it now!
What's all this waiting all about?
Too much time spent in the middle
turns my surety to doubt.

I guess it could be worth the waiting,
all this check-list, errand, chore.
Then again, that all depends
on what it is I'm waiting for. 

Show-N'-Tell...Microwave Repair Guy Style!

      Once again my schedule is all off this morning...Ugh! We're waiting for the microwave guy to come back this morning. He came yesterday, tore up the kitchen, scattered his repair and work stuff all over the floor, and then.....left to get a part that he found out he needed...or make some deadline...or something! Then, in route,  he got an emergency call (somebody got a busted water pipe or something), and had to go there instead of coming back to finish replacing our microwave install. Grrrr!
      He's coming back to finish this morning, but we're not exactly sure what time! And considering that it's already been months waiting for this microwave (it's one of those 'over the stove' install types), and having to deal with the hole, and no cooking vent, we don't dare re-schedule him!!
      The whole thing has thrown me off though! Ugh!...So, while I'm waiting I'll blog a little 'Show-N'-Tell' for you! :-)

      This is the 'Giveaway Keychain' I made the other day out of some white thread and some leftover strands I had...

       I 'really' hate to throw yarn and thread away!! ^_^ I think it came out kinda cute! :-)) Of course I would say that! ^_^ ...But what do you think?!

      I'm excited to show you this next thing!...

     This was a gift from hubby! :-) ...When he handed it to me in the pack, it didn't say what it was...Would you have known from looking at it?!....I didn't!...I said to myself: "Here he goes again!...giving me a gift that's suppose to be for ME, but it turns out to be some gadget that he knows I won't use. So it ends up being a gift that's really for him!! LOL"
      But that was not very nice thinking, because as it turns out...the gift was TOTALLY for me!! :-) ... It's a headlight to work on my crocheting at night!! :-) ...

       I just wrap the strap (above) around my head...and turn the light on!!!...

     WOW!!...So when the sun goes down early, or hubby wants to go to bed before me and the light is bothering him....

      I just put on my trusty reading headlight...
 

     ...and crochet to my hearts content!! ^_^ I can even peep up and down and check out what my Facebook friends are saying!! ^_^ ... "Thank you, honey!!" ♥ ... It's not the cutest thing I've ever worn, but I don't have to look at me, so I'm good with it!!! ^_^

      Last, I wanna show you the two white flowers I finished for a custom order yesterday....no biggie!...

      I'm gonna head over and list them in the 'Wuglyees' shop right now...while I wait for the microwave guy who is at this minute almost 25 minutes late and hasn't called!!! Ugh!...How do you get repair and delivery people to respect your time as much as they want theirs respected?!...Oh how I wish we could hand them a bill when they show up late, or don't show up at all!!...That's what the doctor and dentist's offices do!! LOL

      I had planned to get up this morning, get some beautiful photos of my in progress crochet projects, and continue my posts about crochet this week. I said 'planned to do that' because there was a little 'kink in my hose'! LOL...The weather!

     We woke up before 5 O'Clock this morning with the sound of loud claps of thunder and bright flashes of lightening! Apparently we were in the heart of a severe thunder storm!...And also, apparently, we're not done. O_O We're just experiencing a slight pause at the moment. We still have rain....a lot of it! Actually, flooding!...The thunder boomers are gonna start back up this evening.

        So, instead of showing off my 'stuff', I'm gonna show off other people's 'stuff'! LOL...Like those gorgeous earrings in the header photo. They look like the color of water, so I thought they would be a good 'lead off' for a post where I couldn't talk about what I wanted to talk about...but instead could talk about them! ;-) ...Here's some others...

       I think I've mentioned on the blog before about my love of Irish music. Have I also mentioned that I'm kinda drawn to plaid...and tartan...and green?! :-] And no, I'm not Irish. So I don't know where this attraction comes from. But it's strong!!...And so is my love of 'turning a phrase'. So a green plaid tartan journal is right up my alley! :-)

       I wonder what the weather is like in Greece this time of year! :-) Maybe I should put a barrette in my hair and take a trip there!...Clearly being here in Massachusetts right now is not the barrette in the hair, umbrella-less, plaid skirt wearing best place to be! LOL

      I do all this talking, but you know where I'm gonna be.....just hanging around! ^_^ ...Just like these...

RAIN Again!...."Come On Eyes, Let's Get To Work!"

      I have a LOVE/HATE thing with rain. Most of the time it's a 'love' because I love the way it pitter patters onto the leaves of the trees in my backyard, and how sweetly the birds play around in the little puddles that it makes. I also love the look of the sky right before a storm and the sound of rain when it's pounding away at the windows. I know...crazy. :-)  But I LOVE it!

       But then there are the times I 'hate' it! Like when it's cold 'and' raining, and you can't seem to get dry after you come in from it. Or when the dampness of it has every bone in your arthritic body screaming for relief! Or when it floods streets and basements, and goes on raining continuously day after day, after day, after day!!! UGH! 

      At these 'hated' times though, I still find something to 'love' about rain!...I love that it gives me time to read, write letters, or go sight-seeing online! :-] And that's what happened yesterday. The arthritic pain thing and a lot of napping, and sight-seeing! :-) And since I mostly was just moving my browser hand...*giggle*...not much crocheting got done either!...Wanna see what caught my eyes?!

     And this Map Puzzle by PipeDreams2010 would've looked so cool up on my wall!! I would've had so much fun with the magnets, moving states around to places they weren't suppose to be! ^_^

      *shaking my head vigorously*....What happened to me yesterday anyway?! Did I get too much water in my ears and revert back to my childhood?!! ^_^ .... MOVING ON!!

How Long Do I Have To Wait For It?!!

         Yesterday was errand day. What I should say is that it was errand day for hubby! My errands consisted of Waiting...Waiting...and more Waiting! 
        I shouldn't complain too much because I've found that my lack of mobility does have some perks! ^_^ When I was mobile, Saturdays were filled with hubby and I going from one place to the other, getting the errands done that would allow our mid-week time to run smoother. 
      We spent a lot of time waiting in grocery store lines...because everybody and their mama would have the same idea as us and would storm the grocery stores with 'To-Get' lists as long as ours, and with grandma and her coupon booklet in tow. Not to mention the little ones, who daddy refused to watch at home and some flat 'ready-to-go' shoes on their feet! LOL
      I remember standing in long lines in the grocery store and waiting in the car for hubby while he got a 'quick' hair cut along the way. A hair cut at the neighborhood barber shop that was full of men with nothing to do but sit around 'chewing the fat' (gabbing), waiting for the 'one good barber'! ^_^ Yesterday I did that waiting here at the house! 

       It came out very nicely! :-) ... As he gets older the wait for the hair cut is getting shorter and shorter though!! ^_^ Pretty soon he'll be able to do it for himself at home...without the results that 'Beaver' had to deal with!........You need hair for that!! ^_^  (Shhhh! Pretend you didn't hear that! LOL)
      I was just wondering how long I was going to have to wait for him. We had big plans, and somehow when hubby does errands it always takes forever!!...I think he gets distracted easily. Well, I know he does! LOL He always comes home telling me about something he saw on sale in the store, or some new food he thinks he should buy 15 of, or how many gadgets the new phones have nowadays, when......he didn't have phones, or any new foods, on his shopping list! LOL
        We had some online shopping to do, and I just wanted to get on with it...so I could do my crocheting and take a nap! ^_^ I wanted all of his run-around errands to be over, and for him to come home!...Hair cut done....check!....Pick up more multi-vitamins before the other bottle completely runs out....check, check!

         Do a little grocery shopping....check, check, check!....Run around to 3 different stores to see if he can find the new cell phone  at the same price it said it was suppose to be when he saw it online......Ch....Huh?! O_0 That kind of running around wasn't on the list! UGH!
       Thankfully I had his pretty garden to look at. The plants are growing so nicely now!

       Oh!...Too close?! ^_^ Sorry!

          I was still waiting while he did some banking, put gas in the car for the week, and mailed some letters. He came home in between to take some photos of my scarf, so I could get it measured and ready to list in the shop today. He's much better at taking photos than me! But I hate that I always have to wait for him to take them!...Hmmmm! I sound a bit impatient today!
        Then, because our old washing machine finally decided it had had enough of that 'rinsing' thing,...

        ...we had to shop around to get another one of those yesterday too! We looked at washing machines online first, and lo and behold, a SALE!!!

          It's no charge for delivery and $400.00 off of the original price, but only for the weekend. We can't wait for this one! ....SOLD!!! :-) Now all we have to do is wait for them to deliver it...UGH! Why did I know there would be more waiting involved?!!
       Whatever!!...More 'Wuglyee' crocheting time.  :-)

       There is one thing I won't have to wait for any longer!...The artist blogger from the blog SOiNTOiT, the blogger I talked about the other day that moved from California to Japan,......she's there!!! :-]

        I can't wait to see what she finds while she's exploring her new country!!! :-] ... And I can't wait to have breakfast either! I'm off to do that right now!!! :-)
