Sometimes In Life You Get What You Want! And Sometimes......

No...it doesn't always happen like that....that you get what you want. What you've been craving for a week I mean!...But sometimes it does!! :-)
I was telling y'all that I really was craving hotdogs for some reason. All week too! Well yesterday...I got me one!! :-) I got it with a few modifications, to make it a bit more healthy for me....But just a bit! ^_^
Instead of regular hotdogs, I had all beef hotdogs. No 'unknown' parts and pieces of whatever was leftover and pushed into a tube! LOL...And instead of a regular white bread bun, I used 100% whole wheat bread...full of good old fiber! :-)
Instead of slathering it on like some kind of Mayonnaise-loving crazy woman, I had just a little bit of mayonnaise, and a little bit of catchup smeared on the bread {each had their own side of the bun. No crazy cross-contamination...until it got in my mouth I mean! ^_^}...Then a little bit of fresh cut onions, and a whole boat-load of mustard!! LOL And YUM!!!! It was sooooooo good! :-)
Sometimes it's good to get what you want! In fact.......three of them!! ^_^
As a little side muncher I had a few of these....
Sea Salt & Vinegar flavored Kettle Chips...the hard crunchy ones! So good y'all!! And did you notice that they were 40% less fat?! :-]
If you've never had Cape Cod chips you're missing out on a world of goodness!! And they didn't pay me to say that either!...You're welcome, Cape Cod chip-making company people!! ^_^
Yes, I got what I wanted yesterday!...Including the fact that I finished writing my five minute 'Talk' (Play-like, Bible presentation)! YAY me!!...Now I just have to publicly deliver it! O_O ...No problem!
Now here is where the post turns...because while sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't! And just in case you think I was being mean, I want you to know that hubby 'asked me' to take these photos. And he gave me permission to share them with you...poor baby. O_0
Hubby is due for a haircut. He thought about going to get it yesterday, but he had some other errands that he had to run, including visiting his father at the facility he's in right now. And then, before we went to bed, he looked in the mirror and saw his hair......or should I say HEAD!
Then the questions started. The questions that only a sensitive 'Tell-the-truth-girl!!' kinda wife can answer! The questions that I thought the camera should answer out loud...and not me! LOL
Yes! Your face is getting easier and easier to see these days!...And yes! Your hair-line is trying to run away from your face!...And yes, 'dear', calling it a 'hair'-cut may be stretching it a bit nowadays!..*I will not smile!....I will not put a smiley face behind this sentence even!..........*_*
After the honest answers were gulped down....he wanted to see for himself...*_* So, what's a wife to do?!......Show-it-to-him-Girl!!
Sometimes you get what you want........and sometimes you really wish you didn't!! These photos almost made hubby want to take to his bed...permanently! He could feel the clear spots with his hand, but he had no idea it looked like that!!!!! (The exclamation points were from his tone of voice, not from me! ^_^)
Even the nape of his neck hair is trying to head for the hills!
This was the time when the sensitive wife had to remind her 'half-hairless' husband that it's not his hair that she loves anyway! And that if he can love her with all of 'her' issues, she certainly could love him 'without' half of his!!...
...And while it may be a 'Mission: Impossible' to have your hair go back to looking like Greg Morris'...
...No! I don't think it would be funny if you cut it all off!!
Let's leave the bald and funny to Sinbad!!

Wonder if we should talk about Jheri curls, activators, and weaves now though! LOL

Bald Poem
A poem that will celebrate
all the wonders of my man's hair.
A poem that feels sorry for
his hair no longer there.

A poem that shows puzzlement
from him at women's weaves.
A poem that sympathizes
with his hair-line as it leaves.

A poem that says a "YAY!"
to the people who are bald.
A poem that blows a kiss and says
"I'm sorry dear, that's all!"

How Long Do I Have To Wait For It?!!

      (adelzeller)
Yesterday was errand day. What I should say is that it was errand day for hubby! My errands consisted of Waiting...Waiting...and more Waiting!
I shouldn't complain too much because I've found that my lack of mobility does have some perks! ^_^ When I was mobile, Saturdays were filled with hubby and I going from one place to the other, getting the errands done that would allow our mid-week time to run smoother.
We spent a lot of time waiting in grocery store lines...because everybody and their mama would have the same idea as us and would storm the grocery stores with 'To-Get' lists as long as ours, and with grandma and her coupon booklet in tow. Not to mention the little ones, who daddy refused to watch at home and some flat 'ready-to-go' shoes on their feet! LOL
I remember standing in long lines in the grocery store and waiting in the car for hubby while he got a 'quick' hair cut along the way. A hair cut at the neighborhood barber shop that was full of men with nothing to do but sit around 'chewing the fat' (gabbing), waiting for the 'one good barber'! ^_^ Yesterday I did that waiting here at the house!
It came out very nicely! :-) ... As he gets older the wait for the hair cut is getting shorter and shorter though!! ^_^ Pretty soon he'll be able to do it for himself at home...without the results that 'Beaver' had to deal with!........You need hair for that!! ^_^  (Shhhh! Pretend you didn't hear that! LOL)
I was just wondering how long I was going to have to wait for him. We had big plans, and somehow when hubby does errands it always takes forever!!...I think he gets distracted easily. Well, I know he does! LOL He always comes home telling me about something he saw on sale in the store, or some new food he thinks he should buy 15 of, or how many gadgets the new phones have nowadays, when......he didn't have phones, or any new foods, on his shopping list! LOL
We had some online shopping to do, and I just wanted to get on with it...so I could do my crocheting and take a nap! ^_^ I wanted all of his run-around errands to be over, and for him to come home!...Hair cut done....check!....Pick up more multi-vitamins before the other bottle completely runs out....check, check!
Do a little grocery shopping....check, check, check!....Run around to 3 different stores to see if he can find the new cell phone  at the same price it said it was suppose to be when he saw it online......Ch....Huh?! O_0 That kind of running around wasn't on the list! UGH!
Thankfully I had his pretty garden to look at. The plants are growing so nicely now!
       Oh!...Too close?! ^_^ Sorry!
I was still waiting while he did some banking, put gas in the car for the week, and mailed some letters. He came home in between to take some photos of my scarf, so I could get it measured and ready to list in the shop today. He's much better at taking photos than me! But I hate that I always have to wait for him to take them!...Hmmmm! I sound a bit impatient today!
Then, because our old washing machine finally decided it had had enough of that 'rinsing' thing,...
...we had to shop around to get another one of those yesterday too! We looked at washing machines online first, and lo and behold, a SALE!!!
It's no charge for delivery and $400.00 off of the original price, but only for the weekend. We can't wait for this one! ....SOLD!!! :-) Now all we have to do is wait for them to deliver it...UGH! Why did I know there would be more waiting involved?!!
       Whatever!!...More 'Wuglyee' crocheting time.  :-)
There is one thing I won't have to wait for any longer!...The artist blogger from the blog SOiNTOiT, the blogger I talked about the other day that moved from California to Japan,......she's there!!! :-]
I can't wait to see what she finds while she's exploring her new country!!! :-] ... And I can't wait to have breakfast either! I'm off to do that right now!!! :-)
Have a good day Everybody!! :-)

Waiting

I'm not very good at waiting.
I've had to do too much of it.
Too many hours in the car.
Too many minutes just to sit.

I want to do it now!
What's all this waiting all about?
Too much time spent in the middle
turns my surety to doubt.

I guess it could be worth the waiting,
all this check-list, errand, chore.
Then again, that all depends
on what it is I'm waiting for.

Just A Slight Orange Glitch.....And A Snip....And Then...Moving on!!!

There's a mystery afoot!!...Before you click the video, please go over to the blog >>>  mateo & tobias <<< and read what happened!!! LOL

Is that funny or what?!!! That's not what I planned to talk about today, but I was doing some blog reading before I did my post...{I woke up really early...really early...this morning!!}...and came across this oh so well written post! I just had to share it! ^_^
Okay....moving on!! :-) Let's talk about color!!....Orange particularly! I've been seeing a lot of it lately! Is this the new color for summer?!
This Orange salt and pepper shakers set by littlepart...
...this plastic orange container by LovedByTime....
...and my Salmon Orange Circle Scarf, from my Wuglyees shop...
...all ended up in this Orange You Glad....Treasury curated by grimmandgrete.

There's so many cheery, summery things in this 'make-you-wanna-grab-something-with-a-straw-in-it-and drink-it-fast'...beautiful treasury! :-)
But wait! There's more!!...Okay, now I'm just sounding like a bad 'info-mercial'!!! LOL
In my very own backyard there's some orange growing!!! :-)
Remember when hubby took THIS PICTURE...(scroll down to it)...of the one lone orange flower that was growing...and he said he thought more were growing?...Well, he was right!!! :-)
They're coming up in the sunshine and in the rain. Just beautiful!!! :-)
And more orange is around too!!...My Salmon Orange Nail Button Fingerless Gloves...
...were included in another Treasury!!! This Treasury was curated by etty2504. It's entitled summer colors...
Orange is not the only color of the items in this Treasury....but there is some!! For instance there are these 16K Gold Plated...Calla Bead...Carnelian Drops Earrings by delezhen.
       Gorgeous...right?!!
So I think that orange just might be the color that's afoot this summer!....No mystery about it! And no scissors are anywhere in sight either!! Nobody wants to 'cut it out'!! ^_^
A couple more little things...Please don't forget that if you want to receive the crocheted earrings that I'm giving away in a couple of days, you have to enter! Go HERE for details and pictures of the earrings. The 15th is only 2 more days away!!
And I just wanted to share my happiness and let you know too that I'm about to embark on another black and white project....because the shawl I just recently made......
....SOLD last night!!!! :-))))))) {Those are smile lines, not laughter this time!!} I can't seem to keep my black and white scarves or shawls in my shop for long at all! And that's a good thing!!
And this brooch sold last night too!
So for the next few days I'm going to be a very happy, black and white crocheting, girl!!! :-) So what if the color for summer is orange! :-) Have a good rest of the day Everybody and...keep the scissors 'AWAY' from your children!!! LOL

Summer Is The Sun

Summer is the sun
that makes the sweat down your face run,
when you're having so much fun.
Now the school year is all done;
Your 'Playing' homework has begun.

Summer is the sun,
when your vacation web is spun,
and all your money is down to none.
A dollar bill-you've got just one.
That there's no cash is quite a stun.
But Oh! The memories that were won,
because summer is the sun.
