Is This Weather The Last Push Of The Season?!

     The weather today was just beautiful!!! Sun...not much wind...no rain...and no thunderstorms on the horizon! :-] It almost could've been perfect, except for the fact that there also were no hummingbirds at the feeder, and the 'weeds' decided they wanted to grow like crazy today!!!...
 

     Well...maybe they didn't all grow today, but it hasn't been more than a week! They just shot up from the grown, got higher than the hanging feeder, and started sprouting white and yellow flowers! The white ones (dandelion puffs I call them! ^_^) got caught by the wind yesterday and started blowing all over the backyard!!

     They're actually very pretty, but only from inside!! ^_^ I'd be an achooing mess if I was out THERE!!! LOL
 

     Some air was made to be seen and not inhaled! ^_^ That's my story and I'm sticking with it!! :-))

     I'm thankful for the beauty of nature these days. I'm trying to process some pretty heady news I got a few days ago. No matter how much I try to compartmentalize it...it keeps coming back to the forefront of my mind, trying to distract me away from my smiles. But...even though it's really not good news I'm trying to process and put in it's mental place...I will find things to smile about though...because I must!!
     One of my smiles was this fun hat...
 

     I finally finished it and listed it in my Wuglyees shop HERE! :-) 
 

     I took some pictures with Shequita (my head model) wearing it, but I sewed the flower on it, and added the drawstring to it, afterward! :-] ...
 

     And in case anybody is wondering, it's not real fur! It's called 'fun fur' and it's 100% polyester. :-] It's washable and dryable, just like the yarn! I think it's a pretty fun combination! :-)
     By the way, I finished an autumn red hat too! Not this same design though. It's my flip up hat. Hopefully I'll get some photos of it tomorrow...maybe! In the meantime I'm crocheting two more flip up hats right now...at the same time! ^_^ I'm alternating between them. :-)) They won't be done for a couple of days though.
     In case you hadn't noticed, I'm not online as much these days. I'm spending a lot more time crocheting. I'm trying to get some product built up for a big Fall season. I'm gonna be focusing more on my hats and 'Ugly Wuglyee' scarves. It's TIME!! ^_^
     I'm also gonna be getting rid of my 'Free Shipping' mid-September. I hear that the post office is upping their prices again! Ugh! I can't compete if I don't add the shipping prices back...Sooooo if you're interested in anything from my shop (those of you in the U.S.) now would be the time to get it...before the shipping price gets added back to my shop! That 'will' happen on September 16th, 2014!!!
     Enough about me and my shop! What's going on with you guys?!! ^_^

I Wish I Could Wave Off The Time

I wish I could wave off the time
the way you wave off a fly about to land.
Just 'poo poo' appointments I'm dreading
with a flick and a wave of the hand.

If only the time went unnoticed,
like 'extras' on some movie set.
One shot it's as if they were coming,
the next shot they've not gotten there yet.

I'm dreading the phone calls and chatting,
as if time has somehow just stood still.
I wish I could wave off the ticking,
and hours of quiet to fill.

I know soon the day will be over.
The consciousness is in this rhyme.
Still I'm dreading the fact that it's coming,
and I wish I could wave off the time.

Biscotti, Cantuccini, Or Twice-Baked Cookies, Anyone?! ^_^

      In case you don't recognize the reason for the reference to biscotti in the blog title, here's a clue: today is my hubby and my's 'virtual Friday Date Day'! ^_^ We're heading a long way away today...to the little city of Prato...in Italy! :-)

      Besides similar weather to us here in Holyoke right now...(79 degrees F, with a chance of rain)...Prato, Italy is bound to be the place for good music and good food on our date tonight! ^_^ As for good food, how could it not be a good place?! I mean...Biscotti originated there!! ^_^ And if you don't know what biscotti is....O_O WHAT?!!!...Just check out this delicious-looking peanut butter and chocolate biscotti recipe that I found on food network (dot) com!! YUM!...And, just so you know, biscotti comes in all kinds of flavors too!! :-)

      That should be the last of mention of Etsy treasuries for a while! ^_^ Unless of course.....! :-)) 

      Just so you know, I'm having a better day today...mentally...than I was having yesterday, even though the reason for my mental lapse hasn't gotten any better!...and it won't for a long, long time...if ever. :-( Some things, once done, are DONE!!! And it's a sad sad state of affairs. :-( But, thanks to my relationship with my God, Jehovah, and my congregation, and tons of good friends, nothing that happens in this life is ever so debilitating that I can't get over it. Jehovah is always a place for me to find something to smile about, because he gives me hope of things getting better....and soon! :-]

       Okay...enough of that kind of talk!! :-) I'm off to do some packing for Italy!! And I'm listening to some music while I do it! ^_^ ... By the way, I don't speak Italian, so if the part of the song that's not in English isn't good song for me to be playing.....somebody TELL A GIRL, will ya?! I love a new experience!

Soooooo cute! :-] But if I could show you my face tonight you'd see the same expression...for an entirely different reason. And unfortunately it's not a reason that I can talk about here on the blog!...but I sooooooo wish I could!!

      For now, I'll just have to leave you with the mystery that is 'ME', and ask you to bare with me for a few days while I get my bearings again. Ugh!...This 'life' thing can be really tough sometimes!! It'll make you wanna tear your ears right off!! LOL

How Can You Be So Positive

Oh yes, I have a choice!

But who would make that choice,

      Howdy!...I'm here to talk! ^_^ There must be something to talk about right?!.....but for the life of me I can't think what that might be! LOL Right now my life is full of a lot of 'same old, same old'. Crocheting, eating, napping, exercising, bathing...incidentals, incidentals :-)) ...watching tennis, blogging, trying to get something sold in my Etsy shop, and music! ^_^

      What is there that's new in that to talk about?...Not much!...other than the same old things I always talk about...with an added hummingbird siting and a leaf turning occasionally brown?! ^_^

      I don't know why my shop is the focus of so many etsy treasuries lately, but I'm not complaining about some traffic to my shop or some extra views!       Eventually I'm sure I won't have any more treasuries to show you and I'll be here rambling on at the face like I always do!! LOL...WHAT I'll be rambling on about is anybody's guess!! ^_^ For now, it's about etsy treasuries, and my latest crochet projects.

      Speaking of which...*don't you love it when I say "speaking of which"? LOL...this is what's on my crochet hook right now...

      It's another crochet hat. Not the cowboy style this time. I'm taking a 'one hat' break from the cowboy hat! ^_^ The color of this yarn was calling to me, and I didn't have enough of it for a cowboy hat! :-) The cowboy hat is done with double strands throughout....I already have a color to work on for the cowboy hat as soon as this one is done though! :-)

Life Is Changing For Me....AGAIN!

      I haven't been talking about it too much here on the blog, but my life has been changing a bit lately...sorta like the changing colors and circles in the beautiful crochet blanket in my header photo today.

      I haven't been talking about it because I like to keep my blog a 'smile-worthy' space, not a 'complain-as-you-will' space! ^_^ But since I'll probably be talking about certain changes in my life as a matter of course, I figured I'd better give you a 'heads up'!

      The biggest change is that, as of this past Monday, I have a new person in my life...a new personal care assistant. :-) She'll be here for a few hours a day to help me get through my day a little easier, and give my hubby a break with some of the incidental 'girly' performances of life. :-)

      It's only been a couple of days and already I can see my hubby relaxing. That makes me very happy. :-) He was starting to feel a little overwhelmed and inefficient. Now that my PCA is here, hubby can focus on the other things that need to be done!...which includes some room rearranging in case his mom has to come and live with us soon. O_O
      That's another change that may be happening!! His mom is having a few issues that may require her to lighten her load too! And if she ends up coming to live with us I'll be very happy to be able to keep an eye on her daily...I worry about her a lot now.

      Okay...that's enough, for now, about my changing crazy life and schedule!! Let's get back to some smile-worthiness around here! ^_^ And, of course, that includes an Etsy treasury!! LOL...

I'm feeling butterfly-ish.
Wanna flutter...move real slow.
