...I Will Never Understand Why.....!

Have you ever been sitting somewhere, minding your own business, and all of a sudden you open your mouth...and your mother or grandmother's words come flying out of your mouth?! O_O ... Well that's what happened to me when I saw a news story the other day! Put your comfy slippers on,...

....get your coffee mug,...*something germane to the story...O_O*...

...and let me tell you about it! :-]

Whenever my grandmother was befuddled by something that someone said, or something that happened, she would say: "As long as I live, I will never understand why....."! And then she would proceed to give us the whens and wherefores of why she was saying whatever it was she was saying. :-)) ... I now understand my grandmother's 'befuddled-ment-ness' about certain things! LOL
For instance, when the news story of tennis referee Lois Ann Goodman came on during my rain delayed tennis, I found myself saying: "As long as I live, I will never understand why.......why people forget who they are in certain situations and begin behaving like they've lost their 'ever-loving' mind!!".....O_O....who said that?! That sounded like my grandmother!! LOL
Here's why I said it...Lois, a referee from Los Angeles California, on her way to officiate at the U.S. Open in New York, was arrested at the Sheraton hotel...wearing her U.S. Open uniform!...What was she arrested for, you ask?!...For killing her husband...with a coffee mug!!!...No! I'm not kidding! O_O
70 year old Lois had apparently been under investigation since April, when she had called police and said she came home and found her husband at the bottom of the stairs. She said he must've had a heart attack...Ummmm-huh!...But the coroner says her husband was bludgeoned to death with a coffee mug!!....and was also stabbed with pieces of it!! O_O
What blew my mind was that someone could 'allegedly' do such a thing, and then just 'go back to their life, and to their job' same as before, as if nothing happened!!...She must've been completely thrown for a loop when the police showed up at the hotel! O_O
My question is...why a coffee mug?!!...Uhhhh...I mean, there is no reason to kill your husband at all!!...BUT why with a coffee mug?!! LOL...What kind of conversation were they having?!...And what did he say that made her SNAP?!!...Was it the coffee itself?!....Or was the coffee mug just the 'on-hand', quickest weapon she could get her hands on at the moment?!!
Maybe she should have paid better attention to some of those disgruntled tennis players when she was at work! They take all of their anger out with loud grunting, and a beaten up racket every once in a while! ^_^ Well....Baghdatis takes it out on his rackets more than just every once in a while. He takes it out on them A LOT!!! LOL

...At any rate, I'm sure we're gonna be hearing more of Lois Ann Goodman's story as time goes on!

As for me today, even though it's 'raining cats and dogs', and especially when it comes to my little Wuglyees crochet shop...

...I'm a lapel pin making, lapel pin selling, machine! :-))

         ...And I'm loving it! :-)

I'm also still looking at Etsy items that make me smile...especially on rainy days...

No....these things don't stop me from being befuddled by things....As long as I live, I will not understand non-medical face lifts, for instance...O_O...I can understand some things that need lifting on an old body, but the face?!....Why would you want your face 'lifted'?!!!...and to where?!!...If you lift it too far it could be kind of dangerous on rainy days! I mean, rain all in your ears on top of your head and everything!! ^_^
Okay, have a good day, Everybody!....Enjoy your coffee.....and put the coffee mug away when you finish with it, will ya!! LOL

 I Like A Cuppa

I find I like a 'Cuppa' soup
when it's chilly out the door;
And I like a 'Cuppa' tea
every day around four.

And I like a 'Cuppa' coffee...
not a decaf 'Cuppa'...NO!...
any time of day or night
I like my steaming 'Cuppa' Joe!

  1. I have to agree sometimes I am sure that I sound exactly like my Mum. When I catch myself I can't help but smile.
I do like you grandmother's saying :) I might borrow that if I can remember it at the appropriate time.
