"Ewwwwwww!"...And "Is This Fall Or Not?!!"

      Do you see the beautiful Fall/Autumn scene in the header photo?...Makes you wanna take a deep cleansing breath, right?! :-) .... Yes!...And when I saw it in the Etsy search yesterday that's what I did...took a deep breath. And then I said to myself: "Oooooo! I'm not sure where this was taken, but it would be the perfect photo to show on the blog tomorrow to transmit how the weather is looking and feeling here in Massachusetts!"
      Uhhhhhh...that was what I said yesterday! O_O Then I woke up and saw the weather report for this morning! Guess what?!...According to the weather reporters, today we're due to have 'unseasonably warm Summer-like weather'!...huh?! O_O ...It's suppose to get up to 82 degrees in fact!
      I should've known!!...I got a really good clue yesterday. Hubby came running into the house hollering for my camera because he wanted to show me something! Me...silly girl that I am...thought it was because of these gorgeous flowers...

      ...which were the first things on the camera when he brought it back to me! :-) ...

      ...Pretty, right?!...Yep!...But these gorgeous flowers...looking all Summer-like...weren't the object of his attention...and hollering!...

      His excitement was a little closer to the ground...

      ...Ewwwwww! O_O It's some kind of hairy-looking caterpillar!!!!...

      My husband is such a "MAN"!! LOL I mean...doesn't he know me?! ^_^ Why would he think I'd wanna see this...this.....THING?!!!...

      You know why?!...Because he knows I have this blog! ^_^ And he knows that I'm always looking for something to talk about...And he thought he'd get an honorable mention for showing him to YOU!! ^_^ ... "Thank you, Honey! You're the bestest!" :-) ... And just for future knowledge, I'll give you honorable mention for a cup of coffee...a fried catfish...a homemade cheesecake...a back rub...a foot rub...or whatever! :-)) "I Break For Ham Sandwiches", and will dance for a box of 'Russell Stover' chocolates!! ^_^

      Changing subjects on a dime, I wanted to tell you that I got a great request for a custom order yesterday...that I had to turn down. :-( A customer wanted to know if I could make her 52...yes, I said 52 keychains!!...And yes, I can make 52 keychains!!...but she wanted them in the shape of bows or paws!...*blink! blink!*
      Uhhhh...I make crochet flowers! :-)) I don't know how to make crochet bows! O_O ... Uhhhhh...Should I know how to make crochet bows...or paws?!...Is that the new trend?!...Something else for me to work on! ^_^ Not now though!...Right now I'm working on crochet flower sets for my shop...and MADE TO ORDER crochet things...and putting buttons on crochet stuff! ^_^
     You can check out my 'crochet stuff' in my Wuglyees shop HERE if you like! :-) ... And Have A Good Day too!!

Animals Everywhere

There are animals everywhere,
out-numbering husbands, kids and wives.
Do you see them when you travel?
Do you have some in your lives?

The chickens in the yard
step and jut their necks in stride;
Cackling birdie conversation
as you throw seed side to side.

Horses gallop down the hill,
through the field outside the gate;
Along the beach edge of the water
their strong legs will dominate.

All their waking hours
kittens tumble, jump and leap;
Then they curl up anywhere,
purr and breathe a peaceful sleep.

Baby chicks will follow
right behind their Mama's wings.
But they sometimes get distracted,
and their Mama's "Cluck!" then rings.

Doggies know their station.
They're secure in who they are.
They unguardedly will love you.
Just as quick, they'll chase a car.

There's many things that we can learn
by just watching what they do.
But let's not imitate their aggression,
and their need to balk and chew.

Let's recognize where we're alike.
Both of our constant needs for love,
And there is food, shelter, attention,
and much more we could speak of.

Yes, there are animals everywhere,
out-numbering husbands, kids and wives.
Giving lessons by example,
and so much meaning to our lives.

  1. Those wooly caterpillars aren't my favorite either. Those black things that stick out can hurt!!! Anyway, looks like you're getting our weather. It was suppose to hit 80 yesterday, but didn't get into the 70's till really late in the p.m. Only 70's today.
    Enjoy your day!

  2. Oh, I love caterpillars of all kinds. We've recently had a few that will turn into monarch butterflies. We plant just for them to eat! I found a big praying mantis yesterday and - like your husband - had to snap a picture of it. I'll have to put it on my blog one of these days...

    Our weather this past week has been gorgeous and is going to stay that way for a few more days. I just love it!!

    Enjoy your warm day...

    xoxo Silke

  3. I think the weather is usually warm the first week of October, then the cooler stuff returns! The caterpillar reminds me that we judge how harsh our winter will be by what the "woolly bear" caterpillar looks like...don't ask me how it's suppose to look..just know that there is even a woolly bear festival near us! Maybe you could learn how to crochet bugs? (Just kidding!) Have a good rest of this week!

And thanks for the info on the "woolly bear" caterpillar! Interesting!...but uhhhhh...I will NOT be crocheting bugs!...or bears, for that matter!! LOL Have a good day, Yaya! ^_^
