Baby Shower Boutonnieres?!

I know I'm usually all silly and my mind is bouncing all over the place here, and after a night of 'battling ' Spider Solitaire with my husband, just know that I could go THERE if I wanted to this morning! ^_^ But instead I'm going to tell you about the wave of sales I'm riding right now. Sales that are coming along with great communication, some repeat customers, custom orders, and inspiration for new ways to market my shop!
One of those ideas came to me day before yesterday, as I was editing the pictures of these custom ordered boutonnieres...

The customer wanted the pink one, and when he saw it and liked it, he asked me to make the blue one too! :-) When I saw them together...

...my mind immediately saw a hospital waiting room full of friends and relatives waiting for the announcement that "She's here!"....or "He's here!"...and seeing them all jump up and clap...wearing my lapel pins!! ^_^
Then it dawned on me.....'These could be marketed as baby shower gifts!!' WOW! Why didn't I think of that before!...They could be pinned to baby diaper cakes, worn by baby shower party guests, put in surprise boxes to let grandparents know whether it was a girl or boy, etc.....WOW!
So, from now on....any pink or blue...maybe even baby yellow and baby green....lapel pins are gonna have that marketing moniker!...What do you think?!

Before I go fishing for more business though, I have to take care of the business I'm getting right now! O_O I got two new orders this morning! These guys are off to see the world!...

My up-surge of business right now just proves that you just have to 'hold on for one more day' when you start feeling like things will never change. Because I was beginning to think I was gonna become the old lady with a house full of crochet projects...instead of cats!! ^_^ ...Thanks Customers, for saving me from the loud meows!!...from my husband, wanting me to STOP already!!!! LOL
Right now he's trying to find ways to help out! :-) Oh, if only I could teach him how to crochet!!!.... O_O ...Scratch that! Some 'two-left-hands' need to stay in the kitchen! LOL...I'm off to do some package wrapping!...Have a good day, Everybody!

Busy As A Beaver

I've been waiting for this moment,
where my crochet shop's involved,
to be busy as a beaver.
Now that problem has been solved.

I've been doing custom orders,
listening to customer's every tip.
Writing notes and tying ribbons,
readying packages to ship.

Yes, I know that things could change,
I could hear crickets any day.
But for now I'll just enjoy it.
Beavers pat their tail this way!

  2. We just had an open house at our hospital's new maternity wing. Those would make sweet gifts to go with the things the hospital provides new parents. Maybe you should approach hospitals? Just sayin! Have a good weekend and I hope your sales keep on increasing!

    1. Awwwww! What a great idea!...Having never been pregnant, or worked in the maternity ward, I didn't know hospitals gave things to new moms! I'll have to look into that! Thanks for the heads up, Yaya!...Have a good weekend! :-)
