...has some animalistic human behavior as it's base theme....not in a good way! You can read the description in the shop HERE if you wanna know what I mean.
But when I saw the cardinal and the bunny rabbit in my backyard yesterday I was reminded of how wonderful animals are!
Whether they're pets, or out in the wild, they seem to make us feel good and make us think and sometimes make us wonder "What's on your mind?!" They also sometimes make us wonder why we can't be more like them!
I've had some pets myself over the years that I really wish I could've known what they were thinking, because they acted almost like they were human! They seemed to talk even!...Not in a "Hello,-My-name-is-Tracey.-What's-yours?" kinda way...(And by the way, Yes, I did have a dog named Tracey, and No, I'm not going crazy or anything!! LOL)...but it was in a "Are-you-having-a-bad-day?-Let-me-stay-right-here-until-you-feel-better" kinda way!...If you have a pet, you know EXACTLY what I mean, I'm sure!
Our dog, Tracey, (a German Shepherd/Beagle mix....yeah! She was a mutt....sorta like me! ^_^)...would come to wherever I was in the house when the phone rang. She'd sit and stare at me as if to say: "Well! Are you gonna pick that thing up?!" LOL
And whenever it would start to get late at night, and I was up doing something or watching T.V. when I was suppose to be in bed...because of School the next day....she would circle around me like a 'Nervous Nelly'! I could almost hear her saying: "Oooooo! I'm gonna tell! You're suppose to be in bed Missy!!!' ^_^
And when I finally 'would' head off to bed, she'd be right behind me! :-) When I laid down and covered up, she'd jump on the bed, circle around two times, and then plop herself right up next to me as if she couldn't believe I was keeping both of us up this time of night!! LOL She'd end up right on top of the covers. I can still remember how hot she used to get in the middle of the night, and how, when I would move her, she'd grumble as if to say: "Alright! Alright! You don't have to push! I'm moving!" :-]
Yes, whether cuddly, nervous, temperamental, fidgety, lazy, crazy, or more....we loved our animals!....and thoroughly believed they loved us! :-)
That may be why we gravitate to movies that have animals...or toys...talking!
....and not just once or twice...
....and not just once or twice...
...but more!! :-))
Yep! We love a movie with some animals and toys talking!! ^_^ Maybe the animals are wondering 'What are they thinking?!!!!!' LOL
Animals Everywhere
There are animals everywhere,
out-numbering husbands, kids and wives.
Do you see them when you travel?
Do you have some in your lives?
The chickens in the yard
step and jut their necks in stride;
Cackling birdie conversation
as you throw seed side to side.
Horses gallop down the hill,
through the field outside the gate;
Along the beach edge of the water
their strong legs will dominate.
All their waking hours
kittens tumble, jump and leap;
Then they curl up anywhere,
purr and breathe a peaceful sleep.
Baby chicks will follow
right behind their Mama's wings.
But they sometimes get distracted,
and their Mama's "Cluck!" then rings.
Doggies know their station.
They're secure in who they are.
They unguardedly will love you.
Just as quick, they'll chase a car.
There's many things that we can learn
by just watching what they do.
But let's not imitate their aggression,
and their need to balk and chew.
Let's recognize where we're alike.
Both of our constant needs for love,
And there is food, shelter, attention,
and much more we could speak of.
Yes, there are animals everywhere,
out-numbering husbands, kids and wives.
Giving lessons by example,
and so much meaning to our lives.
You sure said it right in this one! True pet people have been accused of being insane! We all will tell you that our animals know us, talk to us, comfort us, protect us, encourage us, and love us to death. I cannot imagine living without them!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Deb, I know exactly what you meant about animals. We have had the same experiences with them that you have. We had to put our kitty to sleep this past Jan. because of cancer. So for the first time in our lives together we are animal free. It will be so wonderful in the new system to be able to pet/touch all of those animals we currently cannot. Have a fabulous day. HUGS Peg
ReplyDeleteArt and Sew Forth, ^_^ Somehow I knew you would agree with this post! You have all kinds of pet 'people' around you, loving you up all the time! :-)
ReplyDeletePeg, Awwwwww! :-( Sorry about your kitty. My Tracey is gone too. She left the yard and we never saw her again. We suspect that she took herself somewhere to die, because she NEVER wandered off, and she was too old for anybody to steal. We missed her terribly!...You're so right about haveing all kinds of animals to love in the New System. I can't wait either!! :-) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree my friend! We love our animals! Jehovah created us that way you know! :) Just think....in the new system we'll have exotic animals to love too!
ReplyDeletePicture yourself there....I see you!
CinLynn, :-) Indeed! And who could believe that as much as I have loved our fish and doggies over the years, we would be pet-less at the moment?!!...Right now we just need to focus on taking care of ourselves and keep a warm place in our heart for the memories of our good pets! Soon....sooooooon...we'll be able to have another! :-]
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for featuring Silly Buddy for this wonderful post :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Hande & Buddy
