Celery was on the grocery list for the weekend. I thought it would flavor up some soup nicely. Soup that was needed to keep my sick hubby hydrated and 'on the mend'. But I didn't end up getting any celery...maybe today. I didn't end up getting any because hubby wasn't even feeling well enough to go grocery shopping...he's the one that does it in our house....'Don't be a hater!!' LOL
As you can see from the header photo though, I wasn't satisfied to go 'completely' without my celery! ^_^ I found celery everywhere!...
I even found some in one of my yarn bags...
It was in the form of some leftover cotton celery yarn...of course! :-)) And since I'm all about making headbands these days...
...why not a celery and white colored headband?! :-)
I love this color in a headband!!...It's not gonna be for warmth though. It's more for fashion...And to 'pump up' the fashion a little more...
...You guessed it...a crochet flower to put on it! :-)
And I added this silver bull's eye button....just because!! ^_^ Be thankful you weren't laying in the bed sick, listening to me flipping and rolling and tossing all kinds of buttons around in their bin, trying to find just the right one for your 'celery masterpiece'!! LOL Sorry Mr. Wug...*Teehee*
I still have to put a back on the flower, and then I have to sew it to the headband...
I sat it up on top of the headband so you could see what it's gonna look like though...
Cute, huh?!...Yes I do know that I could be a bit biased! ^_^
Anyway! That's all I got for you today...except to show you that there is still a little bit of Fall color still in my backyard...
...*a slight tear falls down my cheek*...and to let you know that even though my soup didn't have celery, it had chicken...and hot sippiness! And between that and lots of water, vitamin C, juices, and tons and tons of sleep, my hubby is all better! Really!! :-)
His achiness went away pretty quick. And so did his fever. By yesterday evening he was practically back to his old self again. Not even a sniffle was left!...*patting myself on the back*....*cough! cough!* Now I just have to keep applying the same things to myself today and I think all will be well...(I have a little drippiness...What? Too much information?!! LOL)
We have rain and strong winds coming mid-week, so I'm gonna be all about doing some headband crocheting today, before the achy joints get the memo! LOL I hope you all find something just as fun to out-race yourself to do too! :-) I love my time alone...without any sick people left in the house. It makes me feel very accomplished! :-) Now it's all about 'ME'-ville! :-)) Have a good day everybody!
When I am alone
When I am alone,
with just my pen and pad,
I can talk about myself,
whether I'm happy, tired or mad.
When I am alone
all the words just fly
from my brain of 'Busy'-ness
to the sight-line of the eye.
When I am alone
there is no veiled conflict;
There is only what I think,
and my ball-point Bic.
When I am alone
I can just be calm;
and if there's been a fight,
words can soothe like balm.
When I am alone
I confirm, with glee,
that I really like myself
and that "I'd be friends with me!"
When I am alone
there's no loneliness;
and what I am feeling
I don't have to guess-
I just put down pen, and press!
When I am alone,

I can talk about myself,
whether I'm happy, tired or mad.
