Greener...Calmer...Wider...Won't Harm Her!

I've got some things going on in my personal life right now that I'm not gonna bore you with. And...trust me!...you don't wanna hear me complaining about it anyway! I'm leaving that duty up to my firm shouldered, wide-open eared hubby! :-)) He signed up for this job almost 35 years ago! ^_^ Although I'm not sure he knew back then how much listening...and at what decibel..the job entailed! LOL
I think at this point hubby is just glad he's not the object of my frustration! ^_^ In fact, he's pretty upset about the situation himself!...But to the person who 'is' the object of our frustration....Uhhh....be thankful we're trying to make ourselves cool down through quiet and prayer...'on a regular'...before you have to hear about it!!...Although I suspect you already KNOW how angry you've made us! Grrrr!
Anyway!!!!!...I'm thankful to have the calming green of Cindy's new treasury to look at. (In the header photo) And I was also thankful to have one of my headbands included in it! :-) The olive green one with the multicolored button flower...
I loved both of these yarns so much!...And I don't have anymore of either. I did make another flower from the remaining multicolor yarn, but I haven't decided what headband to put it on yet...or whether to sell it as just a brooch. Decisions...decisions!
In fact, I've got a lot of upcoming decisions to make about my shop!...Prices, merchandise, arrangement issues, TEAMS!...*shaking my head*...A few people are requesting that I join their teams...*sigh*...I haven't had a good track record with being a good 'team' member.
They kinda want me to promote just 'team members'....I kinda wanna promote who I wanna! LOL It always ends up that the team works more for them than for me! I LOVE to promote for other people, but the kind of promotion I need doesn't get a priority!...I need for some of the people who do the craft shows to do a profit/share situation with me...since I physically can't sit at shows in person.
I need someone to take my items, sell them, and send me the check for my part!! LOL I'll do the online promotion and send you supplies...I'm a crocheting fool, so supplies is right up my alley! ^_^ Anybody with a 'TEAM' like this that can help me?! 'Hit up my email', will ya!
As I was saying, before I got diverted off into 'Delusion-ville',  I'm thankful to have the calming green of Cindy's new treasury to look at. Here's a few of the items from it, up close...

So, are you all calmed down now too?! :-) ... Thanks Cindy!!

Before I head off to work some more on my latest scarf, let me show you what it's looking like so far...
It's really soft...It's really colorful (red, gray, black and yellow)...and it's really wide! Seven inches (17.8 cm) I don't usually make my scarves this wide, but when I started out I was aiming at six inches...and I over-shot the mark a little bit. ^_^ Rather than taking it all a loose and starting over, I just decided that there must be a 'few' people in this world that like wider scarves! LOL
Now, if I can only find me a team member that wants to find those wide scarf lovers...and show it to them for me!! :-] ... I'll try!!...Have a good day everybody! And remember...only two more days until the Giveaway drawing! Get your 'Enter Me' in!!

Decisions, Decisions

What should I do?
Don't know if I should go.
What should I wear?
I don't know, I don't know!

What should I say?
Don't need another foe.
Should I tell the truth?
I don't know, I don't know!

Who should I be?
My peppy self or keep it low?
But can they handle it?
I don't know, I don't know!

Decisions, decisions.
Coming at you every day.
You will be just fine!
Come what may, come what may!

  2. Deb, You might want to look up craft Malls. When I lived in Oregon I had my crafts at Crafters Market and I know that there were a couple of crafters from other states who had a space in there. All they would do is mail their wares to the Mall and the workers would put out the crafts in the space. Just letting you know what I know for a fact. Hope things get better. Please enter me. Have a Great Day!!!!!

  3. delia, Here's my quick lesson:

Chain 14, single crochet in the second loop from the hook, and in each of the others (13 stitches). Chain one, Turn, single crochet in each stitch to the end. Chain one, turn, etc....

With this simple pattern you can make a straight pattern. Add number of loops for width, and follow it for as long as you want for length! :-)

A square is just about where you stop with your length! ^_^ Let me know if it works!...And have a good rest of the day! :-]

  4. SnowflakeDreams1, That would be a great idea Velma, but we had one near where I live that I looked into a little while back. I chose not to put my items there because they still expected me to come in and manage the space! So, if I sent them to a Crafts Mall would I still need someone to go in and manage the space for me?! And is there a certain monthly fee...like renting a space?! I'd love some details since you did it...By the way, you're entered again too. Thanks Velma. Have a good rest of the day!

  5. I'm sorry you're having a bad day my friend. And I know it's frustrating (teams included!). I've joined a few and I don't like it that they want you to promote only team members either. I''m not a good team member.
As for selling elsewhere...I wish something would work out for you. I've been selling on a regular basis since I've put some of my things in my friends shop. I'm so surprised! Hopefully you'll get that break!
Love the new scarf, and congrats on you latest sale! Woo Hoo!!

Keep your chin up and I'll be keeping you in my prayers too.

  6. CinLynn, Hi Bead! I'm feeling much better this afternoon than I was this morning...Thanks for the encouragement about the sales too. Hopefully I will soon get a situation that'll work for me. I'm so happy that you finally have!! :-)

  7. Deb, because you are out of state they would manage the space for a minimal charge. I know that when I had my crafts there the out of state charge was twelve dollars a month. They had a few spaces that were all set to go you did not have to go and paint or decorate your space. This Mall understood that it takes the seller making money in order for them to make money so they really worked hard for the crafter.

  9. By the way...thanks for featuring my treasury. It's a good way to get traffic in your shop. I really love the colors in that one.

  11. As you know I'm not that much of a green person but the colour is definitely growing on me. There's some great stuff in Cindy's treasury :) especially the tulip painting.

  12. Jo-anne, :-) But that treasury has that pretty green...not like neon. And the burgundy contrast color makes it really pretty...And I agree about the tulips. :-)
