Okay...so if I can't personally do it right now...at least I know what it's suppose to look like when, and if, I ever get to do it again!...Sleep, I mean. ^_^ I am afraid to report that my body clock is still not ticking time correctly!
Hubby and I have begun to humorously check things off the list as to why I can't sleep...like, for instance, that maybe the thought of having "wobbly-headed" children has shocked my sleep senses! ^_^
Or maybe it was that super-sized moon we had the other day! Maybe it affected the earth's gravitational pull so much that my body clock was just one of its sad casualties....'Good Night Moon'. :-]
Or maybe my meno-"pause" decided that it didn't want to be on pause and slow motion any more. Maybe it decided to throw all of the hormones it owns into my body RIGHT NOW!!!...Well, I have news for you, 'Mr. Hormones', I've been blaming you for my lack of sleep all along anyway!...♫ Na-na-na-na-naaaaaa! ♫ LOL
There's a whole lot of other silly reasons we came up with...reasons that I'll spare you from having to read about! ^_^
There's also a few legitimate reasons that we're investigating too...like, for instance, some issues with my C-Pap machine...or a heightened allergic reaction to pollen...*The pollen has been crazy around here!*
Whatever it is...I'll figure it out eventually!...Or it'll just work itself out...like it did the last time... Remember?!
In the meantime, I'd like to thank all of the wonderful Etsians I featured on the blog today. You've documented wonderfully what "Asleep" looks like. :-) ...I'm taking note!...Hopefully, soon, I'll be able to report that it indeed does look like this....from behind the eyelids! ^_^
Here's a few more wonderful examples...
And my very favorite...
You can probably guess why it's my favorite, right?! ^_^ ... If I was a cat, this could be 'ME' right now! LOL
Oh well, cowboys die with their boots on....why can't I sleep with my yarn on?!! ^_^ ...Okay, I'm off to......well.....guess! LOL Have a good day, Everybody!
I only have one brain
There've been times when I felt that I needed
an extra brain to remember some stuff.
An extra noggin to handle the chaos,
when my life and my schedule got tough.
A much bigger cranium for non-essentials;
Somewhere to go when my brain wants to bail.
An extra universe inside my skull space,
where I could place all my 'Mental Junk Mail'.
But, knowing my thinking, there's no use
having two places for my mind to stretch.
Two places to toss around ideas.
Just more balls of ideas I can't catch!
My one brain is an occupied scramble.
A pink-celled, forgetful and frustrated mess!
Do I need another brain somewhere,
holding problems that I must address?
No, I have enough things to focus on.
Things so confusing and numerous to do.
So it's a good thing I only have one brain!
What in the world would I ever do with two!

ReplyDeleteHope today is better for you.

DeleteThat is brilliant - I sympathise!! And hope you get some sleep soon :-)
ReplyDeleteAww! Thanks!...And your addition added to the brilliance! :-)
Deletethe goslings are so cute
ReplyDeleteI agree, Kamana! :-]
Deletehow lovely to bump into you on Greedy Croc's page, Amy is working on something for me right now! (well, maybe not right now)
ReplyDelete^_^ There's no telling where you'll bump into me!...And hmmm...what is she working on for you?! O_O ...I'll have to keep an eye out!
DeleteYour sleep-themed post reminded me of a line from MACBETH about "sleep that knits up the ravelled sleave of care." We all need that "healing" time--when our minds aren't rolling around those same old tracks of worry. Wishing you some sleep-filled hours soon! But I enjoyed your artful exploration of what sleep looks like. And thanks for including Cocoa!
ReplyDeleteHello!...Thank you so much for the very insightful comment. I never heard that expression before, about MacBeth. But now that I've practically slept the whole day away, and my mind feels more "knitted together", I guess, to a certain extent, I can say 'I agree'! ^_^ I feel much better. I'm actually looking forward to going back to sleep later too!..I'm glad you enjoyed my post and that you took the time to tell me, also. :-)
DeleteWell, it's interesting that, more 400 hundred years ago, Shakespeare instinctively knew what modern science is still learning about--the many ways that rest and sleep can help us feel better and stronger and, in general, healthier. Sweet dreams!
ReplyDelete^_^ ... Goodnight!
DeleteI love those prints you've shared. Of course all of the cat ones seem to call out to me :D especially that Siamese one.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, And I knew the cat ones would get you!...But of course, they're no Rory! LOL
