Sometimes The Choice "Is" Yours!

      Some days you wake up and your schedule for the day is all laid out for you like a southern Sunday dinner...You have much to do, much to eat, and life looks like it's gonna be good! :-) ...And then there are the days when you wake up and look out the window and see darkness and rain clouds. The days when your schedule is all laid out for you like a soggy picnic lunch...with wetness everywhere, and you know that the umbrella toting ants are gonna be the only ones having any fun!
      Guess which kind of day I'm having!! ^_^ ... Now, I have a choice! I can go to my 'happy place'...mentally...and put on some mental sun tan lotion....Wait a minute! O_O I don't put on sun tan lotion even in my real life! I'm allergic! LOL....Okay, scratch the 'happy place' scenario!
     As I was saying, I have a choice. I can forge ahead with a 'puss' on my face, bringing everybody that comes in contact with me down...OR...I can bolt forward into my rainy day, with a smile on my face, and the anticipation of having a peaceful quiet day all to myself...to crochet!!! ^_^ Guess which choice I'm making! :-)
      And in case your day has rain in the forecast, or some other not so fun thing, here's a few Etsy choices to make you smile! :-) ...

      Here's something else that's making me smile today too...now that the sun has come up a bit...look how full and leafy my tree has gotten overnight!!!!...

      I'm excited!!!!...Robins are probably gonna be nesting in it soon!! :-] And hummingbirds will be buzzing by it too, I'm sure! :-) ...

    ...That probably won't start today though! Let's face it, if you were a robin, or a hummingbird, would you choose a cloudy rainy day to do your nesting and buzzing by?!...I wouldn't!! LOL...I'd be somewhere trying to patent the one-and-only allergen-free sun tan lotion!!!...or building me a rain shelter! ^_^ .. Choices, choices!!

       Have a good day, Everybody! :-)

 Build

You can build a reputation,
build a fire, build a stair;
You can build a neighborhood,
build a table, build-A-Bear!

You can build a layered cake,
build some buildings, build a boat;
You can build a website business,
build relationships remote.

You can build vocabulary,
build up friendships old and new.
Build up globe-ular relations
if you really wanted to.

You can build upon your knowledge,
build a table, bridge, or train;
build a step into the future,
or just shelter from the rain.

You can build an awesome snowman,
and not waste him. Make a cone!
Or can build up folks around you,
so they never feel alone.

All this building talk,
shows the things that you can make
if you build a wordy poem...
and you also stay awake!

  1. Sorry you have rain. You didn't get it from me!! It's been sunny and warm here all week, although they did get a bit of rain on the other side of the state yesterday. Probably got it from them. :/ Anyway...I almost wish it WOULD rain! I'm not a fan of going out and watering grass seed. It's VERY time consuming when you don't have underground sprinkling. Oh well...this too shall pass!
    Have a good day and sell some crocheted beauties!!!

    1. Hi Delia! :-] I'm sorry you had a low day yesterday. I read your post...on your new blog site! Congrats!! ^_^ ...It looks like your stall is slow like my Etsy shop!! :-( It's hard knowing what to do, but I looked back at my last year's stats and realized that this was a very slow time for me last year too!! Things didn't start to pick up until July!! So I'm gonna just 'hang in here' and try to be patient. Hey! I've got time...and thread and yarn!! ^_^ Have a good weekend!
