Have you seen these before?!...I got these last night, after a conversation with my blogger friend, Cindy, of CinLynn Boutique. She recently went on a very relaxing vacation to Mexico...
...and brought back some coconut candy! I went to bed thinking about what that might taste like. :-] I tried to get myself some. What I came up with was what you see in the header photo. They're...
...Coconut M&Ms!! I'd never seen them before! WOW! Are they good!
Just like the other M&Ms, they have little "M"s on them. But I was fascinated that some of them have other little symbols on them too...
...Okay, so I'm easily fascinated! LOL And I can be pretty lame sometimes too! I was eating away...noticed the symbols and wondered...."Uh Oh! Is there some contest going on or something and I've got the bag of M&Ms with the special M&Ms in them, with these symbols on them?!!"....LAME! ^_^
Hubby fed into it by saying "WOW! Maybe that's our million dollar ticket to full time relaxation!"....So, I went to 'Google' on the computer, ignored the tennis match for a while...and checked for any information on my million dollar M&Ms! ^_^
What I found out was that the symbols are just pictures of beach umbrellas and open coconuts....a little something special for the coconut M&Ms....NO MILLION DOLLAR PAY-OFF for me!!! ^_^ Should have known!! They also have what I THINK are some new peanut butter ones too.
But there's no special symbols on these...
...just the regular "M"s. I know because I checked all of them! ^_^ No! I didn't EAT all of them....just checked them....just in case!!...Does it sound like I might need a vacation to Mexico too?!...Well, I might!! I would sure like to get out of the path of that big snow storm I hear is heading our way tomorrow!
Maybe that's why I went to bed and dreamed of chocolate candy bars and palm trees! LOL In my dream I had melted chocolate all over my face!....Thanks Cindy! ^_^ I had to look in my stash box to see if my other candy bar was still there and I wasn't turning into some kind of chocolate 'Night Stalker'! ^_^ ...Yep! Still there!!
It was just a dream!!...A good...sweet...chocolate-faced dream! :-] Don't you love dreams like that?! You can have all the fun and memories of eating stuff you ought not, with none of the calories...and no sugar coma!! ^_^
Oh Well....on to other things...first, I need to tell you that Velma of SnowflakeDreams1 has added even MORE things to that Giveaway bundle!!! Now this wall hanging is in there too!
She says that the contents of the winning gift are gonna keep getting bigger until the day of the Giveaway, which is February 1, 2011. So get on over there and comment so you can enter your name.
Also I wanted to share with you that I finished the slippers with the flowers! I wanted to show you how they came out.
They are some of the ugliest,...^_^ ...cuddliest, warmest things I've made in a while...And the flower works!
I'll be listing these, and all of the other slippers I finished, in my shop some time today...including the custom slippers...
...and the small gray and black ones.
I still have some fingerless gloves to make and a scarf for two customers, but I'm waiting for yarn to arrive for both of them. So, what will I do until it gets here?!! Yep!...
:-) I'm going to carry it everywhere I go...but mostly...in my dreams!
And yes!...I wrote a poem about it! ^_^
Candy Rhyme
It's not right...I know,
to start your day with a chocolate face;
But the M&Ms with peanuts
gave my dream such a lovely taste.
It got me really thinking
about the candies of my youth,
like "Pixie Sticks" and "Twizzlers",
WOW! I had such a big 'Sweet Tooth'!
I remember in the playground,
trading candy like a stock.
It's a wonder you never hear
of kids going into "candy shock"!
'Hershey's with almonds',
'Kit Kats' and 'Peanut Bars';
Chocolate 'Reese's cup',
'3 Musketeers' and 'Mars'.
'Pay Days', 'Sugar Babies',
'Nestle's Crunch' and 'Heath Bars' too;
'York Peppermint patties',
because hard candies just won't do.
'Snickers', 'Milky Way',
'Butterfinger', Raisinets';
All that chocolate, good for me,
but not good for household pets!
'Twix', 'Reese's Pieces',
'Almond Joy', and Oh Yeah!, 'Mounds';
'Tootsie Rolls' and 'Whoppers'
I could eat them by the pounds!
'Dove Bar', 'Now or Laters',
'Laffy Taffy', 'Zagnut', 'Skor'.
Okay, I'm gonna stop now,
but there's plenty, plenty more!
Now that I'm grown up
I don't eat candy all the time.
Instead, I have sweet dreams of it,
and write a candy rhyme!
mmmm... now I want chocolate and ther is none in the house! LOL! I do like the coconut M&Ms, but I don't get them very often because the only place to get them here is a big lolly shop over the other side of Brisbane. About a 1 1/2 hour drive..lol!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Hershey bar is a Symphony Bar. I had a friend from Philly send it to me once and I haven't had another one since. It was so good! I also like those ugly little hershey easter thingies you get there. I have no idea what they are. But they have white filling and chocolate coating with nuts and coconut I think. See! Now I can't stop thinking about Chocolate! :)
I wish my dreams could be like that!!! LOL And THANK YOU for making me drool for chocolate right after I come home from the gym! You are so nice! ;) I need to go searching for those coconot M&M's too, haven't seen them before. I bet I'll win the million dollars haha ;) That last picture is so delishhhhh....slurp!
ReplyDeleteThis truly make me laugh out loud!!! Wow, did I trigger a sweet tooth in you too!!! I'll have to photograph the other package so you can at least see what it looks like! Thanks for the link, I appreciate it! And I can't believe you remembered all those candy bar names!!! I would have had to google it to find out all those names. By the way, I love coconut M&M's!! Anything with coconut is wonderful in my book. I'm going to share an easy, wonderful recipe with you! Write it on my blog later today or tomorrow. Stay posted!
ReplyDeleteAlittlesprite, A house with no chocolate...NO CHOCOLATE?!! :-/ Disaster!!!...So, you'd seen the coconut M&Ms?! WOW! Once again I'm not in the loop! ^_^ And how did I leave 'Symphony' bars out of my poem?! I love those too! They are a caramel and chocolate dream all by themselves!! And are you talking about "Peeps", with marshmallows inside?!...I wouldn't drive 1 1/2 for them...But I would for the M&Ms!! LOL
ReplyDeleteMariann, Ha! Ha! Thankfully you can't gain weight by dreaming...or drooling for that matter!! LOL Good for you, going to the gym! Make some room for chocolate pounds! ^_^
ReplyDeleteYou are right, I can't gain weight by drooling and dreaming but there's a chocolate bar in the other room and I can hear it calling me now!!! "Come to me! You know you want me!" LOL :D
ReplyDeleteCinLynn, YAY! I get to see what the subject of my dreams looks like!! I know it's gonna be good looking!! ^_^ And F.Y.I., I DID 'Google' some of the candy bar names!! LOL Some were favorites and I wrote them down, but I couldn't think or remember the others...had coconut candy bars floating in my head! ^_^ I found a site that listed all of the candies and I picked my favorites...Can't wait for the recipe either!! *drooling already!* :-]
ReplyDeleteMariann, Ha! Ha! Ha! And your scale isn't talking to you?! ^_^ Mine tries to a few years back...I removed his tongue!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning. How cool. Coconut M&M's! I have eaten chocolate in the middle of the night! I know because I've seen the wrapper and the tiny chocolate smudge on my pillow. :)
ReplyDeleteSusan, Ha! Ha! I was afraid that's what I had done last night too!!...Did it taste better as an after taste?! ^_^
ReplyDeleteHahahha no, I think my scale is mute or maybe I just can't hear it because it's behind a closed door ;)
ReplyDeleteMariann, Ha! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI loved your poem and I adore chocolate
ReplyDeleteDon't know if we can get M&M's coconut here in U.K.
but I will be on the lookout .They sound yummy,just the thing to suck whilst knitting and watching tennis.
My favourite sport to watch
Jeanie x
Mmm, Coconut M&M's! That sounds exotic lol I've never heard of those before today. I think I need to Google those to see if they are here in Philly. Oh and Alittlesprite, yes, those Symphony bars are still here :D
ReplyDeleteOne chocolate candy I love is a Toblerone! I just love the mix of honey, chocolate and almonds - and the triangular shape :D Deb, you may need to write a second chocolatey poem. What rhymes with Toblerone...telephone? lol
Yummy yum yum....coconut and peanut are 2 of my favourite flavours in the whole world and to say they are doing them in m and m's i bet they are not over here yet i am going to have to check tomorrow now ;-)) And those slippers are adorable you are so clever. Dee x
ReplyDeletemythreebeez, Thank you for the nice words about the poem. Looks like we have more than one thing in common, huh?! Chocolate, fiber, and tennis! :-) I think these coconut M&Ms are new, so you'll probably being seeing them around soon...YUM! :-)
ReplyDeleteDenise, "Toblerone? I need to get my own!!" Ha! Ha! Couldn't help myself!! ^_^ I had totally forgotten about those! I haven't had one in YEARS, that's why...And Alittlesprite lives in Victoria...Australia! That's why she hasn't had one in a while. Although, who knows, they may be there somewhere...I'm sure you'll be seeing those coconut M&Ms in Philly soon!
ReplyDeletedelia, They are some of my favorites too!! And these M&Ms are DE-licious!! :-]...Thanks for the complement on the slippers too. I was suppose to list them today. So far I haven't gotten around to it. I've been occupied. But if not today...tomorrow. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThose coconut M&Ms are really good, I've never noticed the designs on them, though! I'm actually not much of a chocolate candy fan, but I absolutely cannot get enough chocolate milk. The women in my family are cursed with migraines from too much chocolate.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I don't think I've ever said "chocolate" so many times in a row.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! The migraine! I used to get those crazy-like too! I think when I started going through the change something shifted...for the good this time, as far as the headaches go. Those migraines were nothing to play with...Not even for chocolate!!
ReplyDeleteElle, CHOCOLATE!!!!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteDeb, this was one of your most funny posts to me. The dreaming of chocolate must have been sweet....LOL.....Thank you for the kind word about my little wall hanging. Your poem had me thinking of all the chocolates that you did not name. I can't believe the amount of chocolate out there. I heard in the news that chocolate prices will be going up so better buy it now while it's cheap and store it in the freezer or you just might have chocolate withdrawls.
ReplyDeleteCoconut M&Ms have been around for a few years, but they are hard to find! We love them...I guess I'm glad they aren't too available because I would totally pig out and probably have dreams about them too! I love those slippers and now I have to go bring out the ones I told you about that my Grandma made me many years ago and blog about them just for you! I found some cute fingerless knitted gloves at a craft show this past fall and put them in Christmas gift bags...everyone loved them! They called them texting gloves!
ReplyDeleteNo they are not Peeps. I have tried googleing them but i cant find them. I don't think they are hersheys now. But I DO know they only come out at easter. They were just like six or so mounds of chocolate covered things in a black tray. Like half an egg. Thats all I remember. They were so yummy!
ReplyDeleteSnowflakeDreams1, Yes it was sweet!...*Teehee*...And Oh Yeah, there's lots of candy I didn't mention like Symphony, Toblerone, Sugar Daddy, Goobers, Starburst, Hot Tamales, etc... I could go on and on! ^_^ ...Okay, off to freeze some chocolate!
ReplyDeleteyaya, They've been around for years?! Really?! Where have I been?!! ^_^ ...YAY! I look forward to seeing your grandma's slippers!! Can't wait to see!
ReplyDeleteAlittlesprite, I saw something like that when I Googled 'chocolate Peeps' and then clicked on images in the sidebar. They have so much candy out there that I've never seen now!...And it's probably a good thing!!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove the "Candy Rhyme" it makes me want to have some chocolate. Its a good thing I have a box of Cadbury Roses tucked away :D
ReplyDeleteOoooo! You've got a chocolate stash! LOL I wish I had some right about now!! :-)
