Practically every piece in her shop is an eye-catcher! I can say that, being a crocheter and a knitter myself! I know how much work this takes...I also liked this Black Lacy Capelet...
...Okayyyyy! So, it may be the beautiful crocheted flower brooch with the pearls that REALLY caught my eye! :-] {Just checking out the competition!...I may need to start worrying! :-{}
Seems like a lot of the new talent are into flowers too! Look at this Headband for a Princess by kovale.
It has beautiful hand crocheted lace detail and beads. So cute for a outdoor wedding or something...It's giving me inspiration for my shop too!
Now this flower isn't crocheted...but it's a flower none-the-less!! A beautiful one too, sitting in the midst of this Hair-piece and Necklace Set by ElenaBain.
This is definitely wedding fare!! I'm not feeling too much competition about this one...because she is waaay out of my league anyway! ^_^ This floral piece has 212 hand-made, hand-painted, hand-crafted petals cut from the finest 5 gramme and 8 gramme silk Habotai...As I said, out of my league! She's in a class all her own!
I can tell that my eye is flower/floral geared by the things I'm immediately drawn to. For instance, these Captive Ember-Vintage Czech glass, topaz, antiqued brass filigree earrings by TalinkaAndCo.
I absolutely love them!! How could she not have one sale in her shop?!..How?!
Okay, there's one more item. It's this Tapestry & Leather Knapsack by HomerTapestry.
She says in her Bio that she's been sewing all her life. And even though she's only been making these particular bags since 1989, you can see the experience she has to sew. It's written all over them!...Even though there's not a flower in sight...I love it! :-)
Okay, new talent, I'm keeping my eye on you! ^_^ And you're looking pretty good!
Unfortunately, all I'm going to be doing today is looking! I pulled a muscle...somehow!...in my arm again! UGH! Typing this post is very painful...I'm going to just have to sit quiet today. Maybe if I just activate my mouth today, instead of my fingers, it'll get well quick. I hope so. You know how much I like to talk with my hands! ^_^ ...Well...truthfully, I like to talk with my hands, my brain, my mouth, my fingers, etc...Let's just hope it gets well quick!!
I Like To Talk
I like to talk;
I like to gab;
I like a girlfriend
free confab!
I like to chat;
I like to speak;
I find that words
are what I seek.
I like the chatter
of a crowd;
Not in a whisper,
but out loud.
But, please no talking
while you chew.
{Speaking does
have manners too!}
I like the noise
that utterance does.
The constant
conversation buzz.
Maybe I need a
word-free diet;
No! I could not
withstand the quiet!
So, I will talk;
Oh yes! I'll dabble
in a constant
lingo babble.
O, Deb, thank you very much for choosing my "Hair-piece and Necklace Set"! Thank you for your compliments - you've made my day :)HAPPY NEW YEAR X

ReplyDeleteJeanie, Homer Tapestry
Such beautiful work ... all of them! It's amazing how many talented, artistic people there are out there ... you included! So sorry to hear about your muscle pull. Not fun, I am sure. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteJeanie, It was my pleasure to find you!! I hope you have much Etsy success! And you're welcome to come back to the Backyard any time! ^_^ ... I'm still working on the arm. It's being stubborn.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I agree about the talent out there, and I thank you kindly that you included me...*Awwww!*...The Muscle pull is making me crazy! Especially since it came out of nowhere! But I'll heal eventually. Hopefully sooner than later!
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous items - I'm especially drawn to the earrings and bag.
ReplyDeleteTake care with your pulled muscle - once when that happened to me I went to a sports physio for a 45 minute massage, and he pretty much fixed it.
xx
Once again you have found some pretty pieces to share with us Poetess. I love that headband its really nice :)
ReplyDeleteWendy, Thanks for the nice words for these new shop owners...and for the info about the sports physio. I know for sure that that would work too! I had a chiropractor align me one time, and it worked too!! But I'm too far away from him right now, and can't make that kind of ride right now! Hopefully sitting it quiet, and hubby's massages will do it! :-]
ReplyDeleteJo-anne, Thank you...I'm glad you like them! :-]
