WHEW! It's been a long week! A good week,...but a loooooong week! While I get myself ready for my date tonight with my hubby I'll tell you about it. First, wouldn't this be a great outfit to wear out on the town tonight?! It's the Stephanie-High Waisted Pencil Skirt with Wrap Bow by MandyH8800. I saw this and thought: "I'd be good-looking going anywhere in this outfit!" Okay, my week...
As those who read this blog know, I got re-connected with a cousin on Facebook recently. Well, last Sunday I called her on the phone and we got to talk in person! I was thrilled to be able to catch up on things from our past and get some answers to some questions. Of course not everything was a happy memory, but going forward I think there will be many happy moments to cover over the unhappy ones. We're even going to try to trace our family tree together a bit. We've both been working on it some. Now we can fill in some gaps together. And WOW! It looks like there might really be a story to tell there too! I'll keep you posted.
Okay, what am I going to put on my feet?! It's gotta be some black high-heels, huh?! But they'll need a little somethin' somethin'!.....I know!...
....I'll put this green Sword Peacock Feather Shoe Clip on it!.......Good! But that's gonna look a little...."unpresentable"...*wink! wink!*...without the right earrings to wear with them. Let me see.....
But while I'm looking let me tell you about some other great things that happened this week...Remember the custom order for the Marriage of Celery and Moss Scarf?
Well, the customer likes it, but it's not exactly right. I'm going to be making another scarf. It'll have the Moss green, but then I'm going to do the other stripe in "Pistachio"! I'm excited about it because as you know, I wasn't that thrilled with this one. I wasn't too happy with the way the yarn colors didn't 'even out' on both ends. But I'm hoping somebody loves it. It's in my Wuglyees Shop now!
Other news: I've been invited by a shop in the seaside town of Newburyport Massachusetts (that caters to handmade items) to maybe rent some space that they have set aside for new artisans. I'm going to contact them later today to find out the details. If I can just send them items to showcase, wouldn't that be great?!!
Along the same lines, I also was invited to be a part of The Williamsburg Massachusetts Fall Festival, sponsored by The Brewmasters Tavern and OPA OPA Brewing company, this year. It'll be for October 24th. They're going to be advertising it in the newspaper and on the internet, so they said to expect a lot of traffic. Uh......this may be a problem, considering my inability to sit at a craft show! Although my girlfriend says that she'll go and sit there for me! I have to email them to get more information on it, but I feel so excited that people are looking at my shop online, know my work, and are inviting me to show my items with them!! :-)
For some REALLY good news, remember back on September 5th, when I did the blog on 'Giving some Etsy shops their first sale'? Well, guess what?! One of the shop owners contacted me yesterday thanking me. It was miaandstitch. She has 7 sales now!!!! Two happened today! Woohoo!!!!! I knew that as soon as people actually saw her work she'd be selling like crazy! I mean, look at these Two Beige Floral Cushion Covers!
Congratulations to you!!
Earrings, earrings,.....
Oh Yeah, I'm going to be giving away a gift soon!! This...
It's a suede yarn on this purse, in blue and black, with one of my crocheted button flowers on it!
And the flower is removable so that you can wear it with other things. I think the giveaway will be Tuesday, next week. I'll keep you posted and give you the link to her blog so you can enter.
Earrings................Ah hah!!! These would be the perfect earrings!!!
Green Vintage crystal with vintage green textured glass by ChouChouBijoux. Hubby, watch out!!! ^_^
The last thing I want to talk about that happened this week was that I was invited by quite a few people to participate in a 'Blog Hop'. Could somebody please tell me, What is a blog hop?!!! I have enough trouble participating in things where I know what it is. Never mind things where I don't know what it is!!! LOL It doesn't sound like a bad thing though. I just need to get more information.
Okay, Well, Have a good weekend everybody!! I think mine is going to be pretty good...A nice ending to a nice week!! By the way, what are you doing this weekend?!
Going Out With My Baby
Going out with my baby.
Or going nowhere, but it's alright.
Playing games and constant laughing.
I think it's gonna be a great 'Date Night'!
Going out with my baby.
Or staying in, and hugging tight.
Eating all the things we shouldn't.
But smiling through every single bite!
Going out with my baby.
And visiting 'virtually' every sight.
All dressed up or in our jammies,
We're having fun. You know that's right!!
