You NEED a hat in this stuff!!!

Sold!!! This little white hat and the two other black ones were all sent off to their new home yesterday! And just in time too! She's a New Englander too. These hats are going to come in handy today!...We looked out the window yesterday afternoon and we were getting a few snowflakes. We tried to take pictures of it, but our camera was not strong enough to pick up the tiny little flakes.
All you can see is our backyard, with the leftover bit of snow from the last snowfall.
You'll have to take my word for it that there were little snowflakes. REALLY...there were!! LOL
But this morning when we looked out?!....There's no doubt. There was snow!!!

And if this looks good to you, you are either a native islander in an area that never sees snow; a transplanted West Coaster, who has fond memories of sledding and snowmen as a child in the Northeast; a sentimentalist; a 'Die-Hard' snow person; or...you have a few mental screws not tightened just right!! LOL
I am none of the above...I'm a napper. A 'Die-Hard' napper!! A 'Die-Hard', NOT-GOING-OUT-IN-IT-NO-MATTER-WHAT-YOU-SAY napper!! ^_^ So, it can snow all it wants!!! I've got food, water, heat, and my hubby...all inside the house here with me. Whatever it's doing OUT THERE is of no concern to me!! LOL
Oh Yeah, I forgot...I've got old movies and nothing but time too. Arm is still not ready for my feverish crocheting. But it won't be long now....PLEASE!!! :-]

Winter Is The Snow

Winter is the snow,
when the chilly breezes blow,
and the clouds all seem to flow,
and the birds, in flight, will go,
with their ducks all in a row-
but they leave behind the crow.

Winter is the snow,
when the farmer doesn't sow,
and its not the time to hoe,
and there's nothing left to mow,
'cause the seed, right now, won't grow.

Winter is the snow,
and the little baby doe,
with his mama's eyes aglow,
and defensiveness in tow,
'cause she's had her share of woe.

The ducks, the farmer, and the doe
respect the season, 'cause they know
that winter is the snow.

  2. I met a native sister here today that would absolutely love to see snow. Crazy??? That's what I said! Once she had to shovel the stuff, she would be sooooooo glad she doesn't see it on a regular basis. Her husband is from Canada and so understands snow very well. I can't wait to come home to it......NOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Love your post! I woke up to the same this morning. Only, call me crazy, I went out in it. And not just down the street but on the freeway, to a place 25 min away. Why you say? I was in serach of the elusive fresh cranberry!
