Chocolate...Mint...and Buttons!

Two dozen Chocolate Mint Fudge Drops by sugarspice!! It's enough to make your mouth water and send you screaming into the kitchen for some milk, isn't it?! LOL But that's not what it did for me this time! That's because I still have some Peach and Apple Conglomerated Mash Pie to consider! ^_^
What it did send me screaming for was a place to display it! And since I didn't want it to be all alone, I had to add some other 'chocolate and mint' inspired things with it! :-) Yes! I made an Etsy Treasury! It's entitled Summer Chocolate and Mint.
Ohhhh! There are so many chocolate and mint inspired things in the world!...and so little space to display them all!! So, these are just a few of the things I chose...
A set of 4 Votive Candles by Kittredgecandles.
A Smoky Quartz and Green Adventurine Pendant by LeatherwoodDesigns.
A Hand-Painted Silk Scarf by pollyannedesigns.
      Popsicle Soap by Soapmuchlove.
Vintage Style Striped Carnival Butterflies by thegildedbee.
And this Button Cluster Dangle Bracelet by Vermontjeweleryshop.
These aren't all of the Treasury items that are there. You can click on the picture of the Treasury above to go over to the actual Treasury and check out the rest of them if you like.
    It was a shame I couldn't put my own 'Chocolate and Mint' inspired item in there. (Putting your own items in a Treasury that you yourself made is kinda frowned upon. The whole purpose of making Treasuries is to promote the community of Etsy...not yourself!)...But if I could have put one of mine in there, it would have been the Chocolate Mint Crochet Rhyolite Puff, Cage and Ocean Jasper Bead Dangle Necklace I just recently listed in my Wuglyees shop. {That's a mouth-full, isn't it?! LOL}
Let's be honest...this necklace is probably why I was even thinking about chocolate and mint in the first place!! ^_^
The good thing is that while I couldn't put my necklace in 'MY' Treasury, anybody else was free to put it in theirs...and somebody 'DID'!!! :-)
Cindy, of CinLynnBoutique, curated a Treasury entitled Hungry For Mint Chocolate...and she added my necklace!! :-) Thank you Cindy!
Her and I had the same idea, but we chose completely different items to use! You can click on the above Treasury to go and see her choices too!...I'll show you a couple of the things I REALLY liked!
This Mint-Striped Laptop Bag by TrackandFieldDesigns.
These Flower Lampwork Beads by BEADiNtRiGuE.
This Pearl Floral Charm Silver-Plated Necklace by MEJCollection.
These Hard Candy Bites by VintageConfections.
And this beautiful Paris Photo Collection by littlebrownpen.
      Pretty, huh?! :-)
Now, you would think that would be enough Treasuries for me, wouldn't you?!....*insert loud buzzer noise here*....You would be wrong!! ^_^ ladylucy, {with a shop full of beautiful nature photograhs herself...just saying}, curated a Treasury too. It's entitled Who's Got The Button.
There are some beautiful and interesting buttons all over everything in this Treasury! I L-O-V-E these Oversized Wood Button Brooches by MoonHalo.
And I'm thankful to have my Wine Red Button Flower Brooch included in this Treasury too! :-)
        So tell me...is your mouth watering?!.....Are you screaming?! ^_^ .....Mine either!!...But I am smiling!! That's a good thing to be doing on a rain-less Tuesday! {Especially since it's not gonna last! It's just not raining right now!! LOL}
Okay..don't work too hard, go and eat something good, and 'Button Up'!! ^_^ Have a good day Everybody!! :-)

  Chocolate

A snow storm on the way,
finding out you're hard in debt.
Somehow it's not so bad,
if you have melted chocolate!

Bad news everywhere,
want to throw your T.V. set.
Thankfully there is music
and some deep dark chocolate!

Doggie had an accident,
another long trip to the vet.
A waiting room with lots to read,
but you can nibble chocolate.

Grocery shopping too.
While you run in their to get
dinner for the evening
you can grab some chocolate!

Okay, you know what's coming.
Are you sick of this poem yet?!
If you are, just roll your eyes,
and sit and eat some chocolate!

  5. Chocolate and mint must be 'in the air', we picked up some mint chocolate chip ice cream the other day! The soap popsicles are just crazy - they look like they should be melting! Your necklace and brooch are starting to look tasty too - maybe I need some breakfast, everything is starting to remind me of food!
    Happy Monday!

  7. That choc-mint collection looks great.
It must be the day for chocolate. I found some yummy diabetic chocolate today. I haven't tried it yet but the girl in the shop said she has and really enjoyed it. I hope its as nice as she said it is. A girl needs her chocolate

  8. Jo-anne, Thanks, about the Treasury...I'm curious about the diabetic chocolate. I hope it's good! I wouldn't believe just anybody's assessment about my chocolate though. I'd have to try it myself I think. :-] You let me know what you think...And Nighty, night!! ;-)

Wow, great treasuries! I think the chocolate brown and mint green look so pretty together :) And also taste GREAT together! I love your poem too! I was having a stressful weekend but I bought a Hershey bar at Target and I instantly felt at least 72% better!

Love the color combo(chocolate + mint). I really want to paint one of my rooms mint, I think it's a relaxing pretty color. The lap top bag is cute.

  12. Priscila, I thought about you when I saw Cindy's Treasury. That shade of mint is one of the theme colors for a lot of your spaces you post about. :-) Very calming. And I like the laptop bag too...especially because of the stripes...And guess what? Our forecast says 98degrees for tomorrow!!! And yes, I'm ready! As long as my air conditioner doesn't die...I'm set!! Stay cool!!! :-)
