A cute little baby wearing the cutest little thing is so much better than what was trying to get my attention yesterday.....A completely white-haired doctor, with that "I'm in a hurry" face, and who needed a haircut....bad! LOL More about that in a minute.
First I want to show you some of the other things that caught my eye when I was looking around Etsy yesterday! {I love doing that anyway, but it was a much appreciated change of focus for me yesterday!}
Now, if I'm being honest, which I always try to be, then I'd have to tell you that this first Bird Band 8x10 Print by falldowntree was actually one I saw day before yesterday, when I was 'all about music'! But it was so cute I thought I'd share it with you this morning anyway! :-) {By the way, for those who read my post yesterday, the song I woke up with this morning was "Bad Case of Loving You" by Robert Palmer. It was the 'Doctor, Doctor give me the news' lyrics that did it, I think. LOL}
Next, my eyes were immediately drawn to this ring, entitled STARLET by SilverCandyJewels.
It's an 18mm crystal AB swarovski crystal wrapped in a wire setting. It's pretty obvious why it caught my attention, right?! :-) ... Well, here's the other things that caught me by the eyeball, said "WHOA!", and made me slow down to look more clodely...
...a little white flower swarovski crystal OWL necklace by luckbaby...
...a Chili Red Blossom Headband by ChicFleece...
...a Piano Greeting Card by JoniHanna...
...and, coming in for a landing, this 8x10 Seagull Photograph by audreymillerart.
Now tell me, wouldn't these have caught your eye too?!...Okay, back to info on my doctor's visit...Overall the doctor thinks I'm in pretty good shape, considering! My blood pressure is good. My skin is good, no rashes, discolorations, or any such thing. No swelling in my feet or things out of the way!
I do need some physical therapy for my legs, maybe even water therapy. But trying to get the Insurance Company to pay for it is almost impossible! Grrrr!...He says he's going to look into whether there's any grants or programs I can get into to get some things done though. He talked about a case he knew of where the person lived in a facility for a year on one of these grants, and never had to pay anything. Just had to be available to be watched...Hmmm....I can be watched!! LOL
It's the 'guinea pig' nature of it that takes me aback a little though! ^_^ Whatever! I'll 'cross that bridge when I come to it!' But as long as I can take my Bible, my crochet equipment, and my computer...I'm good! LOL Can't you all just see me sitting in a facility, with physical therapy by day, crochet hook and computer by night?! ^_^ I bet I'd really have some things that make me go "WHOA!" in there!! :-] Ahhhh! The joys of getting older!!!
Alright! Enough fooling around! I've got some stuff to do! I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Have a good day everybody!! :-)
Everything is getting older,
past it's time, and rusting fast!
No matter how many times you oil it,
Somehow, still, it doesn't last.
Everything is getting older.
Even veggies just from the store,
have now browned and withered up.
They're not all shiny like before.
Everything is getting older.
Old dogs included, people too.
Even babies, from the womb,
start getting older, just past brand new!
Everything is getting older,
like real good books, with tales all told.
But, Wait a minute! Some books are good!
That's why "To read" will not get old.
Everything that's getting older
doesn't harm us and displease.
Just think of wisdom in the aging-
that's with people and with cheese!
All the things, those getting older,
showing marks and scars of time,
just need a tad bit more attention,
or just a small aged glass of wine!
OH YEAH!! A reminder: Check the side bar about the blanket giveaway -->
I've only gotten a couple of entries so far. If you're interested, follow the instructions -->
Okay.....NOW I'm done!! :-]
What a sweet post. I would be drawn to that swet baby photo too. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love the items you found yesterday on your search through Etsy! I am glad that your dr.'s visit was good. Check with your health insurance company. With Blue Cross and Blue Shield, we get reimbursed the money we pay for a gym membership (up to $150/person per year).
ReplyDeleteSuch a great blog you have here!! And those leg warmers? ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday Darling! xo
Katherine's Corner, Thank you...and I "WAS" drawn to it! It got me at "Hello, Goo Goo Gah Gah"! LOL
ReplyDeleteEvenAndy, I'm glad you liked them!...And I'm afraid the therapy I need is past the abilities of a gym at this point! The Insurance won't pay for what I need...Not yet anyway! :-]
ReplyDeleteJen, Thank you so much!...And Happy Wednesday to you too! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like that red head band really lovely. I am sorry to hear your in pain with your legs you did make me smile with your guinea pig bit ;-) I hope you have had a lovely day, dee x
ReplyDeletedelia, I liked it too Dee! I wish I knew how to crochet some that looked that good, but alas...that's not 'in my lane'. I'll stick with what I do. :-) And yes, pain and I are old friends. Not unlike a lot of other people I'm sure. Hopefully I'll figure out some way...soon...to start getting myself back on the road to a recovery of sorts. We'll see what my bushy-gray-haired doctor comes up with! :-)) Thank you for your concern.
ReplyDeleteThat baby photo is priceless! I love the tights! I'm glad your doctor is going to look into getting help for you. I'm a true believer in physical therapy! I know what good it can do! Hope something works out for you. I know you have bad days and it isn't fun getting older, but do what I do....just keep telling yourself this is temporary!! It'll be gone soon!! Hang in there my sister!
ReplyDeleteCinLynn, I loved that baby picture too!! Those little tights are the cutest! They need to make those for big girls nowadays! LOL I think they DID make them in the 80s. I had some. But none that cute!! ^_^ ... And yes, I believe in physical therapy too, but can't get it!! Insurance won't cover it...and we have too much income to get it on our own. All of the programs are connected with hospitals and programs. We don't fit the criteria. Go figure!! Oh well, as you say, this situation is only temporary. Things WILL get better....soon! ;-)
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me smile. I'll check that baby wear link out.
LOL...love those leg warmers. And they look adorable on that sweetie pie in the pic....me not so much :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd getting older is no fun. I know I know not old enough to be complaining but I am anyway....lol.
Thank you for making me smile again :-)
Thanks Priscila! Yes, do check it out. It's a great shop! :-)
ReplyDeleteMaritime, Uhhh....those leg warmers? REALLY cute on the baby!....Uhhhh....on you and me?! Not so much! ^_^ And how right you are about getting older. And you're not doing it as fast as me, but you're still getting older too! :-)) Glad to be able to give you a smile...any time!
ReplyDeleteYeah, those leg warmers ... too adorable and I love that ring!!! And the red hat! and ...
