Wheeeeeee!...And So It Begins!!

Look in the background....My backyard is looking so good this morning! And what is this in the foreground?! Is it........Is it........Is it a bud?!......Wheeeeeee! Spring is beginning.....FINALLY!!! LOL Please excuse me for a minute everybody. I need to talk to my backyard for a minute......
"Helloooooooooooo Backyard!! And you too, little tree buds. I am sooooo glad to see all of you back again!! It's been a looooooong winter, hasn't it?!...
{Putting my hand up to my ear} What's that?....You're still a little soggy?!...Yes I know. But that's probably not gonna be that big of a deal today. You do know that some more rain is on the way for the next 3 days, don't you?!
But no worries! A little water is not gonna hurt you! Listen......if you could withstand all of those piles and piles of snow that fell in the backyard, trying to bury you this past winter,...
....you can take a little rain water! :-)
Besides, isn't a little rain and some thunder storms worth it for all of the beautiful flowers and plants to be able to grow?!.....Uh....Yeah. Thunder storms too. Sorry.
But don't think about that. Just remember how pretty the flowers grew in the backyard last year! The fabulous sunflowers!
The flowering tree on the side of the house, with those big pinkish purple blossoms!
Even the potted plants Mr. Wug was doting over on the back patio thrived back here!
I just wanted to say: WELCOME back to the backyard!!! Little buds......feel at home! Grow to your heart's content! :-)
All of you ground plants......Oh! How great it is to see you sticking your little heads up in the soil!!!....Hi!!!
I know you're probably wondering why I'm so excited...*Teehee*...Truth is, with all that bad weather, I was beginning to think that maybe my beautiful backyard was just a figment of my imagination or something! ^_^ I've been known to dream up a thing or two...or three! LOL
And hello to you too, little blue flower....plant....whatever you are!
I'm gonna have to ask Mr. Wug what you are! I wasn't expecting to see your pretty color down there so close to the ground so soon this year!! But I'm happy to see you nonetheless!
Backyard,...pretty soon bees are gonna be all over the place back here....
....and there's gonna be all kinds of plants and colorful flowers too....
...Maybe even a bunch of people, eating hamburgers and hot dogs, dancing and rolling down the hill! :-) We're gonna have some fun this Spring and summer!! I'm so glad you finally started showing up so I could see the possibilities in my mind's eye!!!....And so it begins!!!!....Places everybody!!! Do your thing!!! LOL"
Okay, now that I got that out of my system.....LOL.....I better go and get my day started. It's gonna be another busy week! Studying, reading, writing letters, on the telephone yakking my head off,....blah! Blah! Blah!....Stuff you don't want to hear about, but I would sure like to be able to come by your house to tell you about! *Teehee*
Happy Monday Everybody!!! What does your week look like?! What's on your schedule this week?!

I Love A New Beginning

I love a new beginning,
whether day or year or hour.
All the new growth that's now starting,
like the budding of a flower.

The beginnings of a schedule,
like a long lost welcomed friend.
I love a new beginning,
and so "Here We Go Again!!!!

  1. Nice post Wug! I haven't even had the time to check my backyard out yet. I'm sure if I removed all the leaves left on it for warmth, there'd be all sorts of pretties!! Now I'm motivated!!
Yes, I know you would LOVE to come by and tell everyone about what we're doing right now! LOL I'm out for the day myself. This is my last stop before I leave.
Have a wonderful day yakking your head off (LOL) and don't get hoarse!!! ;)

  3. OMG your spring has finally arrived!! Woohoo! :D I wish it would hurry down here too! Be do have little buds on trees already but they are not as big as yours and while in the city the ice and snow is almost gone, there's still lots of it left in the countryside. Crocuses are starting to bloom here in the north but in the south, where my mum lives, there are already various flowers blooming :) Will try to visit her sometime soon and take pics :P
Btw, has your hubby seen those sunflower seeds lately that I was asking for last year? :)
And thank you for the feature! Although I don't want to see winter pics anymore! LOL

  4. Mariann, Yes it has! Spring is finally here!!!! ^_^ Although the rain and thunder storms are not going to be very welcoming today...or tomorrow...or Wednesday for that matter! UGH! WHATEVER! Spring is coming anyway!....And it's funny that you mentioned the seeds because hubby, when he left this morning, said: "I'm going over to see if I can get some flower seeds before I come home. Maybe they'll have those ones I had last year so I can send Little Fox some!"....No Kidding! He really said that!! LOL So if he finds them, I'll let you know! :-)

  11. Finally a dry yard! I'm happy the weather is coming along for you over there. Over here (Philly), it's expected to be in the mid 80s (then of course dropping down to the mid-60s tomorrow)!

  18. It's been fun to see some Spring in our little corner of the world too. I love walking around the Pines to see what's come up. I think our trees even look a bit "softer"..like the leaves are thinking about popping out! Love the poem and I hope you have a warm week with many sunny surprises!
