A Post To 'Lift' My Girlfriend!

       "Good Morning, My friend. I'm taking a few minutes this morning, before your procedure, to let you know that I'm thinking of you, praying for you, and holding your hand 'virtually' even though I can't be there physically.
         I know you must be a bit....well, let's just say it!...VERY scared today! I'm assuming that's true because I'm not the one getting the procedure, and I couldn't get an ounce of sleep last night thinking about it...and YOU!
        If it was me, my mind would be reeling by now!!...

       The good thing, if there is a good thing, is that this isn't your first rodeo...so to speak. ^_- You've been through so much over the years! And through each and every thing that's happened, or happened to you, you've shown yourself to be resilient, strong and faithful! :-) You remind me of the toy 'Weebles'! ^_^ Remember the slogan they had?!..."Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down"...that's YOU!! ^_^
      Things have kept hitting you and making you wobble over the years...but you have just kept coming back up!! :-) In fact, the analogies could go on and on here!...You're like a buoy...like a wick on a tree trunk sized candle...like the roots of a mighty oak tree...like the sun in it's faithful rising every day...like the moon in it's faithful cycles every month...etc... I think you get my drift, right?! ^_^
       This morning, though, while you're holding onto the tail of another emotional balloon, I want to remind you of what I'm sure you already know, that you're not in this alone. You have many friends, including me, praying for a good outcome for you, and for a quick recovery!
       We can't stop the winds of this system right now...unfortunately...but we can sure help you emotionally hold onto your bunch of balloons! ^_^ That's what I'm attempting to do right now with this post! :-) ...

       So here's a few colorful things to help you 'lift up'! :-) ...

       Are you smiling yet?! ^_^ ... If not, try this one! :-) ...

       Done with the silly!! ^_^

      What I really wanted to convey to you...in my way!...is that you are what's on my mind today!! Not crocheting, not poems, not breakfast, etc.....but YOU! :-] I wish I could talk you right through this procedure, and then cook for you and fluff your covers, rub your back and feet, handle your incoming phone calls, and all of the questions that those who love you will be asking, sing to you and hold your hand...

        ...but I'm relegated to what I'm doing right now...talking! ^_^ ...and, of course, praying for you like a crazy woman!!!!! LOL

        I love you, my friend! ♥♥♥ Go run your race, like always!!!We'll be all together at the finish line!! :-)"

 Who is a Friend?

Dependable and loving,
all your jokes make perfect sense;
To keep you happy and unharmed,
they'd gladly spare no small expense.

They know your moods,
Can take the heat.
They know the things
you like to eat.

Will tell you things
that lift your fear,
and even the things
you don't want to hear.

They'll quickly point out
your pannicky smile;
and pull up your slip
that's been hanging a mile.

They'll be your cheerleader-
Pom Poms in the air!
And when others are gone,
they will always be there.

Laughter and glee,
sobs and deep pain,
are shared by this friend,
in the sun or the rain.

Your accomplishments cause
only joy to their heart;
When they see your success,
it's as if they're a part.

And even though they know
the very worst that you do,
they map your intentions-
and they still love you.

So who is this friend?
It's your mother, your wife,
your neighbor, your kid,
someone who's sharing your life.

They may be close, and related,
or live very far;
but this friend is your friend
and they know who you are.

Your secrets are safe,
your feelings secure,
their shoulder is ready,
and their motives are pure.

  4. To My Dearest Debbie, I want to thank you from the depths of the oceans to the bottoms of hearts that I am so thankful to have such a wonderful friend who cares and loves me for me. Sending up smoke to Jehovah and asking him to watch over me what more could I ask for that you would not give me. You have always been a true trusted friend and What a loving and touching letter and poem it made me cry happy tears. :===) Thank you for your prayers Debbie it meant so much. And I know that hubby of yours was in there too so thank him for me also. I want to thank all the bloggers who wrote such wonderful responses it meant so much. And thank you to all, for your prayers because it worked. I am home now and recovering slowly. Who would've thought you could get cancer on your tongue from 2nd hand smoke. What was wild was when I walked into the hospital what did I see? It was a sign that said "this month is Oral cancer awareness" for April. How weird is that. I thought how appropriate. I love you, Debbie, you are my sister always! Kari-Lynn XOXOXOXOX
